Beyonce's legion of fans got caught in a transportation catastrophe after her L.A. concert because the Uber app went on the fritz ... leaving the door open for Lyft, to save the day.

The Beyhive was scrambling for rides after the Rose Bowl gig, and throwing shade at Uber on social media with postings like -- "the beyonce concert was amazing until I had to wait 2 1/2 hours for an uber. NEVER uber to the rosebowl."

We reached out, but so far Uber isn't saying anything about the service lapse. Its main rival, Lyft, saw a big uptick in biz though that night, telling TMZ ... "We're committed to easing congestion for big events."

And it wasn't just normie fans hitching a ride ... Tyga used Lyft too and gave 'em a shout-out -- in between a Prince sing-along.

Check out Cam Newton's pimped out 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass -- which was custom plated with real 24 karat gold ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We spoke with the people at Monster Customs in Marietta, Georgia who told us Cam brought in the car a few months ago and wanted to fully upgrade the whip ... from the guts to the exterior.

"We redid the entire car," owner Terry Dobbs told us ... "Fixed the motor. Alcantara leather on the inside with gold stitching in a diamond pattern, new carpet, bigger wheels, new sound system."

And get this ... Cam told the guys that the car would "lean" when some of his bigger friends got in the ride (looking at you, linemen) ... so Monster put a new air-ride system in the whip which levels it out.

And the crowning jewel -- a custom 24k gold plated panther head on the grill ... along with the initials "C1N."

All in all, we're told the car had roughly $45k worth of work done.

Garth Brooks shows more fan appreciation than any singer on earth ... at least for the lucky person who bought the 4 millionth ticket to his concerts.

A teacher showed up at his concert Thursday night in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and she got way more than a good show. The woman was taken backstage before the show, where she met Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood.

She was told she was #4,000,000, and Garth and Trisha showed their appreciation by giving her a new red Corvette and a black Jeep Cherokee -- on the spot. She also got a $5,000 shopping spree, and a trip to Vegas for 4. They're also paying off her student loans.

Kanye West is a chatterbox on flights, and Kim Kardashian ... not so much -- which you would know if you'd scored a seat next to them on a private jet, like one non-celeb did this week.

Mazen Dayen was flying from NYC to L.A. on Tuesday for a business meeting when Kim and Kanye hopped aboard his JetSmarter. For those of us still flying coach, JetSmarter is like an UberPool ride ... but at 30,000 feet.

While Kim slept the entire flight Mazen tells us 'Ye talked to him about watches, cars and the soaring price of real estate in NYC and L.A. So, basically ... lots of rich people stuff. After all, they were on a private jet.

Mazen says it's not unusual to see celebs on these kinds of flights -- that is if you have the $10k for the annual membership.

Kanye West was grinning from ear-to-ear until his stupidly expensive whip wiped it right off his face.

It all unfolded Wednesday as Yeezy left a meeting at his Calabasas office. Check out the vid ... Kanye looked excited and amped for the day ahead when he hopped into his Maybach, a more than $200k luxury ride ... that failed to launch. You gotta see his look of despair.

MMA legend Wanderlei Silva says he was hit by a car while riding his bike earlier Wednesday -- but it doesn't appear the injuries are life threatening.

Someone posted a statement confirming the accident on Wanderlei's official Twitter page ... saying Silva was biking home from a training session when he was hit.

According to the statement, Silva will require surgery on his shoulder ... but the extent of the damage is unclear. No word on where Silva was at the time of the accident, or if any arrests have been made.

LeBron James isn't full of crap in those commercials ...the guy REALLY drives a Kia -- and his teammate, Richard Jefferson, captured the proof on video!

When Bron first started endorsing the brand, NO ONE was buying that a multi-gazillionaire like James would really get behind the wheel of a $50,000 Kia K900 ... instead of a Bentley, Rolls, Ferrari, etc.

But when the Cavs team jet touched down in Cleveland Sunday night -- Bron's Kia was waiting for him on the tarmac (car to jet service?) ... and Jefferson recorded the whole thing.

Jefferson can't seem to believe it and James was laughing during the clip ...

... and all the way to the bank.

Travis Scott should stick to rapping and stay far away from any work as a valet driver ... cuz the dude rammed his Lambo into a parked car.

Scott was leaving the Glendale Galleria last week and you can see, he was in a hurry to get out of there. In fact, he was in such a rush ... he backed right into the car behind him.

By the looks of things, the damage was minor to non-existent and Scott was able to leave on his own after the other driver gave an OK.

Derek Fisher was speeding down the 405 Freeway this week ... but don't worry, he WASN'T on the way to a rematch with Matt Barnes.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the ex-Lakers star was clocked doing 80ish in a 65 on Wednesday night. No big deal, just a ticket and he was on his way.

"General Hospital" star Bryan Craig turned his super expensive Corvette into a compact after slamming into a fire hydrant.

Bryan was driving in Hollywood on Wednesday and says a lady driving a Jeep ran a red, causing him to veer.

The woman -- shockingly -- stuck around and she and Bryan exchanged info.

Bryan's feeling the pain today after suffering some bumps and bruises. The Vette wasn't so lucky. It's now a candidate for the junkyard.

Yasiel Puig's dream of getting a helicopter to help him beat L.A. traffic isn't getting off the ground after all ... and it's all because the Dodgers didn't think it was a good idea.

Puig's close friend and personal car customizer, Alex Vega, had previously told us Puig was dead serious about buying a chopper ... a la Kobe ... and had already drawn up plans to pimp it out.

But the Dodgers weren't as keen on the idea as Puig was ... and according to Vega, team reps strongly advised him against the purchase.

"The Dodgers told him he couldn't have it ... It was causing so much distraction they didn't want him to get it."

We reached out to the Dodgers -- they had no comment.

Btw, federal law prohibits Puig from flying a helicopter to Dodger Stadium anyway ... so, he'd have to land nearby and fight traffic to the park like everyone else ... which defeats the purpose.

Caitlyn picked up her Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Woodland Hills, CA on Monday, and it must have been a real quick ride home. The whip goes zero to 60 in 3.1 seconds!

Tupac's fully loaded 1996 Hummer -- which was purchased less than a month before his death -- is being hawked in a week-long online auction through RR Auction.com. ... which estimates it will go for more than $100k.

The H1 has changed hands several times since Pac's death ... it was even raffled off in a BET sweepstakes at one point. Right now a Canadian collector has it, and is obviously looking to cash in on the prized whip.
