Ice argues music should bring people together -- not divide them -- and he doesn't care who's signing the check or hosting the party. In fact, he tells Harvey he'd happily show up if Biden called asking him to perform at a family wedding.

Bret Michaels is the latest musician to cancel their scheduled performance at the Trump-backed Great American State Fair's "Freedom 250" this summer.

The former Poison frontman announced on Thursday that he was bailing on the event -- touted as a celebration of America's 250th birthday -- noting that he was misled about its purpose when he booked it, saying ... "Unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of."

He also said the "unfounded and unforgivable" threats over the event made him concerned for the safety of himself, his family, band, and crew.

John McClain, the co-executor of Michael Jackson's estate and a veteran music executive and producer, had been hospitalized for nearly a week after a fall at his Malibu home left him with a broken arm before he died Tuesday afternoon ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... McClain was medevacked from Malibu to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries suffered in the fall over the last several days.

We're told he died Tuesday afternoon at the hospital from complications related to the fall. Our sources say McClain remained vibrant and creative right up until the end. We're told funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

This is the bottom line, it's true ... for the Jonas Brothers' parents' restaurant. Nellie's Southern Kitchen has shuttered its Las Vegas location.

The Southern comfort food restaurant -- co-owned by Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise Jonas -- closed its location at the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip after service on Monday.

It seems they decided not to renew the lease for the Vegas spot after almost 3 years on the strip.

Sonny Rollins -- the legendary jazz saxophonist honored twice by former President Barack Obama -- has died in New York.

Sonny's rep, Terri Hinte, announced that he passed away Monday afternoon at his home in Woodstock, NY. A cause of death was not released.
