The new Karen Read documentary series -- giving a BTS look at her first trial and her preparation for the retrial in the death of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe -- is blowing up ... but TMZ’s learned they won’t be rolling the cameras for her upcoming retrial.

Director Terry Dunn-Meurer tells TMZ ... "Karen approached us with a compelling desire to share her story, and we believe we captured it thoroughly in 'A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read.' While the second trial will undoubtedly introduce new evidence and fresh faces -- including a new prosecutor and three additional defense attorneys -- the essence of Karen's story remains the same. Therefore, we currently have no plans to film another documentary covering the same ground."

The ID team stopped filming with Karen a few days after the first trial wrapped last summer, catching the aftermath, and then they did follow-ups in August ... but none of those included Karen -- and that's the extent of it.

Garcelle Beauvais is bowing out of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," saying goodbye to focus on her family and dive into some exciting new projects.

On Josh’s "Good Guys" podcast Monday, Drake revealed that the investigation into the abuse -- covered in the doc -- was happening during the break between "The Amanda Show" and "Drake & Josh." So when they were filming the pilot for the latter, no one had a clue because Brian hadn’t been arrested yet.

Drake explained he had to return to a place where his abuser was still around, comparing it to having a monster in his safe space -- a place he once loved hanging out at with his costars.

"Impractical Jokers" alum Joe Gatto has denied a TikToker's viral allegation that he sexually assaulted her when she was 19 in 2023.

The comedian told TMZ in a statement ...  he "used poor judgment" in the past and has therefore "violated the trust of the people" he loves ... but is confident anyone who knows him knows he "wouldn’t assault anyone."

"Little House on the Prairie" star Jack Lilley has died at 91, with his costar Melissa Gilbert confirming the heartbreaking news.

Gilbert paid tribute to Lilley on IG Friday, calling him one of her "favorite people on the planet" and recalling some really sweet memories with him, like when he taught her to ride a horse.

Lilley started out as a stuntman, and worked as actor Victor French’s photo double, as well as taking on a bunch of roles in 'Little House' from 1974 to 1983. Melissa also praised his "absolute brilliance" in the film "Blazing Saddles."

American actress and singer Simbi Khali was in her mid-20s when she first started playing Nina -- the level-headed and sarcastic earthling ... and Dick and Mary's administrative assistant -- in the '90s sci-fi comedy "3rd Rock From the Sun."

Christopher Crisona -- a contestant on "Family Feud" during Steve Harvey's very first season as host -- has been arrested and charged with child sexual abuse ... TMZ has learned.

Crisona and another man -- Father John Taggart -- have been arrested and charged with several felonies connected to alleged abuse at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Wilmington,  Delaware.

The Delaware Attorney General's Office says Crisona was a teacher at the school for a year and a half back in the mid-1990s before he was removed from his post following a student complaint. Taggart, now 80, is accused of abusing the same individual as the 57-year-old Crisona. The victim was in their 7th and 8th grade years at the school, according to the AG.
