The gang's not all here for a "Stranger Things" event in New York City ... because David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown are noticeably absent.

Most of the cast was at the "Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration" at New York City's Paley Center Thursday ... but David and Millie were nowhere to be found.

As we reported ... David was initially supposed to attend the event, but he was scrubbed as an attendee on the event website.

Move over, Charlize Theron, there's a new "Monster" in Hollywood ... and this time it's Sarah Paulson trying her hand at reimagining the harrowing story of serial killer Aileen Wuornos.

Check out these photos of Sarah getting into character as Aileen on the set of Ryan Murphy's 'Monster' Season 4 ... it's the first time we've seen Sarah as the serial killer.

Sarah looks mostly unrecognizable as Aileen in these shots ... she's dyed her hair and she's walking around a film set in Los Angeles wearing a bathrobe, undershirt, sweats, and slippers.

David Harbour's taking a step back from the spotlight, it seems ... skipping a big "Stranger Things" event after a truly bizarre incident where he allegedly stole a fan's hat.

The actor was initially supposed to attend the "Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration" at New York City's Paley Center Thursday ... however, he's no longer listed as an attendee on the event's website.

A rep for the Paley Center told People he can't make it due to a "scheduling conflict."

The timing of the cancellation may raise some eyebrows among fans ... given Harbour's seemingly been in the news for all the wrong reasons over the past few months.

Amaya Espinal is on the mend after a scary health emergency over the weekend ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Amaya was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital this past weekend after experiencing severe abdominal pain. We're told the situation escalated quickly, and she required emergency surgery earlier this week to address her symptoms.

Our sources say Amaya remains hospitalized in L.A. and is recovering in stable condition as doctors continue to monitor her. At this point, it's still unclear what exactly caused the severe abdominal pain that sent her to the ER.

Noah Schnapp says the "Stranger Things" cast and crew had tears in their eyes when they filmed the final episode of the hit Netflix series ... and he's expecting fans to get emotional when the finale drops.

We got Noah in New York City on Tuesday, and our photog asked him if the tears were flowing when the final 'ST' season was wrapping up.
