James Van Der Beek was working right up until the end ... and now fans are getting a chilling first look at his final film role, with the former teen heartthrob stepping into seriously sinister territory.

A week after James died from stage 3 colorectal cancer at 48, Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for the thriller "The Gates" ... casting him as a creepy pastor named Jacob, who's witnessed committing a murder by three college students cutting through a remote gated community.

James fully leaned into the darkness, delivering a spine-tingling performance that fans can catch when "The Gates" hits theaters March 13.

The 4 University of Idaho students slaughtered by Bryan Kohberger left behind almost everything they owned inside their house ... and now we're seeing haunting images of their possessions -- seemingly undisturbed -- in the hours after they were slain.

Tuesday, Idaho State Police released more than 2,000 photos related to the murder case, showing the crime scene after investigators arrived at the house in Moscow, Idaho, where the 4 students were butchered by a knife-wielding Kohberger in September 2022. Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle were all found stabbed to death in bedrooms.

As part of the photo dump, investigators snapped pics of the victims' everyday stuff, such as ID, credit cards, clothes, books, silverware, shoes, backpacks, medications, hair products, picture frames, card holder and much more.

Mia Goth may be separated from her estranged husband Shia LaBeouf ... but she's still affected by his latest alleged antics in New Orleans.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Mia is "concerned" about Shia. As you know ... the 39-year-old "Transformers" star got his ass handed to him on video yesterday after headbutting someone and allegedly punching people at a bar. He was later arrested and charged with 2 counts of simple battery.

Our sources tell us ... Mia is over Shia after they separated about a year ago, but speaks to him when he wants to connect with their daughter, Isabel, who was born in 2022.

According to our sources ... Shia loves his daughter and has a good relationship with her.

NASCAR star Tyler Reddick is calling out the negative chatter over Michael Jordan's eyebrow-raising interaction with his 6-year-old son as they celebrated his huge Daytona 500 win over the weekend.

Quinton Aaron’s brother just got a restraining order against the woman who has called herself Quinton's "spiritual" wife … TMZ has learned.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ ... Quinton's brother, Jarred, filed to get a temporary restraining order against Margarita Aaron -- who's listed in the docs as Margaret DeLeon.

The petition was granted, and the order requires Margarita to stay away from Jarred or any immediate family ... which would presumably include Quinton.

Yesterday, we got video of Shia LaBeouf headbutting a man ahead of a bar brawl for the ages in New Orleans ... but he's actually pulled this same stunt before.

We got footage of the "Transformers" star in 2014 doing the same thing to a guy in South London.

Watch the two videos and compare ... in the first vid from over a decade ago, Shia is talking to the guy in a menacing way. He gets all in the guy's face ... then he smashes his head into his opponent's face like a fighting ram.

Rashee Rice's lawyer, Sean Lindsey, released a statement, claiming that on October 9, 2025, Jones stated under penalty of perjury in an affidavit for non-prosecution that Rice did not punch her. It was just a verbal argument.

"We will allow the legal process to run its course and have no further comment at this time," Lindsey said.

Rashee Rice's longtime partner and mother of his children has filed an explosive lawsuit against the NFL star, accusing him of choking, strangling, scratching, hitting, and headbutting her over a nightmare 19-month period.

The grisly details are part of a lawsuit filed by Dacoda Jones this week in district court, and obtained by TMZ Sports ... where she lays out what he says was a horrific pattern of abuse between December 2023 and July 2025.

"Rashee Rice continued to repeatedly [assault] Dacoda Jones over the course of their relationship," the lawsuit claims.

Jones -- who has two children with Rice -- says she was also subject to "other violent and abusive behaviors," which included the Chiefs' wideout throwing things at her, "punching walls, and breaking furniture."

Jones claims the abuse caused "bleeding, swelling, bruising, and other pain and physical injury to her neck, face, mouth, arms, legs, chest, and shoulder."

To make matters worse, Dacoda says most of the abuse occurred while she was pregnant.

It's not the first time Jones has gone public with the allegations of abuse. Last month on social media, Dacoda accused Rashee of getting physical with her ... and at the time, included photos she says prove he was abusive.

After hearing of the allegations, the NFL launched an investigation into Rice for possible violations of the league's Personal Conduct Policy. The investigation is still active.

We actually saw RR at LAX recently, and asked him about the situation ... but he stayed mum.

Rice, a game-breaking weapon on the field, has been in hot water off it. He served jail time in 2025 after pleading guilty to multiple felonies for his role in a multi-vehicle crash on a Dallas highway.

In that case, the NFL suspended Rice six games before he returned to play for Kansas City.

On a personal level, Rice has a new woman in his life, recently going IG official on Valentine's Day with Instagram model Rubi Rose.

Tom Noonan -- the longtime actor best known for his roles in "Last Action Hero" and "Robocop 2" -- has died, TMZ has learned.

Noonan died last Saturday, and his death was confirmed by director Fred Dekker, who wrote on Facebook, "It’s with great sadness that I share the passing of Tom Noonan … Tom’s indelible performance as Frankenstein in THE MONSTER SQUAD is a highlight of my modest filmography, doubtless aided by the masterful make-up designed by Stan Winston, sculpted by Tom Woodruff Jr., and applied by Zoltan Elek."

Dekker's lengthy statement also included some memories from their time working on "The Monster Squad" ... before ending with, "he was the proverbial gentleman and scholar, and the world has lost a great talent. R.I.P. Tom. Thanks for the great work."
