A woman who survived a California mass school shooting in 2001 had her worst nightmare repeat itself during this week's Oregon school massacre when her son got caught in the middle of all the violence, according to CNN.

The outlet reported on the tragic experiences of a woman named Michelle. Michelle discussed what she learned living through the California shooting in the context of the Oregon shooting that claimed the lives of 3 young students and one teacher in the city of Bend.

She said she was traumatized after surviving the mass shooting at her high school when she was a freshman. As a result, she would always "scan rooms for exits, sit facing doors, and live with anxiety and panic attacks," CNN reported.

Katie Zacharia got the ax while being interviewed about her new role as White House Press Secretary ... and she just walked away without ever returning to her job or the sit-down with the reporter, according to the Wall Street Journal.  

The WSJ gave a shocking blow-by-blow account of Katie's last moments in the role -- one she held for a mere 5 days -- on Friday afternoon.

According to the publication ... Katie was seated behind her desk in a small office scattered with only a few personal items, namely a curling iron, a pair of heels and a cosmetic bag, as well as a white orchid.

Miley Cyrus broke down in tears talking about her late godmother Dolly Parton during her Friday night concert at the Hollywood Bowl -- and Selena Gomez was there, as well as Christina Aguilera -- and TMZ has obtained video showing all the highlights!

In the videos ... Miley can be seen sitting onstage at one point giving a speech about Dolly, who died from cancer at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, in August 2026.

As Miley's band began playing the opening to Dolly's hit song, "Jolene," Miley told the packed crowd that the only time she ever saw Dolly play live was at the Hollywood Bowl.

6:42 AM PT -- Pope Leo XIV was just spotted walking out of Gemelli Hospital in Italy, with a big security detail around him ... as a massive crowd wished him well just outside the front doors.

Good news for Pope Leo XIV ... the pontiff is set to be released Saturday from the hospital after a four-day stay during which he received lung cancer surgery, according to the Vatican.

The Vatican also announced that the Pope won't miss out on his traditional Sunday blessing from St. Peter’s Square.

As you know, the 71-year-old Leo had surgery on his right lung after doctors spotted what appeared to be a cancerous nodule. During the procedure, doctors confirmed it was adenocarcinoma, a very common lung cancer.

10:32 AM PT -- Eva's lawyer, Michael T. Sterling, tells TMZ ... “Let me be absolutely clear: Eva Marcille Sterling is NOT going to lose her home over weeds in her lawn or a vehicle parked outside her residence. Period."

Michael continues, "I intend to fight this HOA at every turn to protect her property, defend her rights, and hold those responsible accountable. No homeowners association should be allowed to weaponize fines, fees, and liens to intimidate homeowners, particularly over minor violations that should never escalate into a threat against someone’s home."

Eva's attorney adds, "Georgia has already sent a clear message with the passage of the Georgia Property Owners’ Bill of Rights Act: homeowners deserve protection from HOA overreach, abusive enforcement practices, and the misuse of fines, fees, and liens. This legislation represents an important step toward greater transparency and accountability, and I intend to pursue every legal remedy available to ensure Eva’s rights are protected."

"This is about more than one homeowner," Michael points out. "It is about protecting the fundamental right to homeownership and ensuring that homeowners associations are not permitted to abuse their authority or use their power to harass and intimidate the very people they are supposed to serve."

Eva's lawyer ended by saying, "Eva will not be bullied, intimidated, or threatened out of her home. We will challenge every improper action, demand accountability, and fight this matter as far as the law allows. They picked the wrong homeowner to push around, and they picked the wrong attorney to stand in her way.”

'Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum Eva Marcille is being dragged to court for allegedly being an awful neighbor ... and her homeowners association is behind the legal action.

According to a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the HOA where Eva owns a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom mansion worth $1.8 million in Atlanta claims the reality star has received numerous notices about violations of the neighborhood's maintenance standards.

The HOA claims Eva has been dinged for failing to treat weeds, mow the lawn, remove inoperable cars from the driveway, maintain current registration, and keep trash cans out of public view.

All Elite Wrestling star PAC died from bronchial asthma ... TMZ has confirmed.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office determined the British wrestler's cause of death following an investigation ... and officially ruled his death natural. The California Post was the first to report the news.

As we reported, AEW announced Pac's death last month ... which was a shock, considering he'd wrestled and appeared throughout the company's pay-per-view show the night before in Chicago.

The British wrestler -- whose real name was Benjamin Satterley -- had competed the night before his passing at AEW's All Out, challenging Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship.

PAC made a name for himself in the ring ... thanks to his signature flying moves.

Drake's team is firing back at a lawsuit accusing him of stealing the chorus of one of his biggest hits ... and his team says the whole thing is a money grab, TMZ has learned.

Producer Aviel Calev Hirschfield -- also known as Avi -- sued Drake Friday, accusing the rapper of ripping off the chorus of his smash hit "Janice STFU."

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Avi claims he recorded the hook in January 2026 and sent it to producers who worked with Drake ... only to hear the exact same lyrics and melody when Drake released the track in May.

The mother of the Oregon school shooter is breaking down over her son's deadly rampage ... insisting he was a good kid despite killing four people.

Shauntai May Nickerson was in tears outside her Bend, Oregon apartment, telling The New York Times her 16-year-old son, Griffin J. John II, was "a good boy, he really was."

Nickerson was seen smoking a cigarette as she struggled to speak ... repeatedly apologizing and saying she missed her son ... she also expressed regret over the massacre, saying, "If I could have prevented this, I would have."

Six Flags Over Georgia is taking the "dead" out of its Halloween festivities ... just days after a man plunged to his death from a roller coaster at the park.

The theme park has quietly renamed its Fright Fest show "Dr. Fright's Dead Man's Party" to simply "Dr. Fright's Party" following Monday's horrific accident, according to the USA Today.

According to officials the bus driver was a former firefighter and actually helped extricate the driver.

Two of the victims killed in the horrific Oregon elementary school shooting have been identified ... including a young teacher who was working her dream job.

Authorities identified 25-year-old Meghan Lambert and 5-year-old Rhoam Summer during a Friday press conference, one day after a teenage gunman opened fire at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon.

Meghan's family shared a heartbreaking statement ... revealing she grew up in Bend and always dreamed of teaching in the same school district she attended as a child.

Casey Anthony says America needs to do away with the death penalty ... 15 years after she narrowly avoided the punishment herself.

Casey -- who was found not guilty of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee back in the summer of 2011 -- says state-sanctioned death as a punishment is inhumane ... claiming there's no evidence that the severe punishment stops people from committing crimes.

She mentions how 17 inmates have already been executed in Florida this year ... and 19 were killed in the Sunshine State in 2025.

Timothy Busfield's child sex abuse case in New Mexico has been dismissed because of prosecutorial misconduct ... though the judge is leaving the door open for prosecutors to charge him again.

TMZ has obtained an order from a judge quashing the grand jury indictment ... claiming prosecutors misrepresented the admissibility of lie detector evidence to the grand jury.

He also says the state didn't call certain witnesses after the grand jury asked to hear from them.
