This man in Thailand doesn't have a cape, but he's 100% superhero -- just ask his cats, which he saved from getting devoured ... by a big-ass python!!!

Check out the insane clip, recorded Tuesday in Bangkok ... you can hear the kitties wailing for help as the huge snake slithered into their crate early in the morning, triggering the man to sprint outside and help.

After some trying, the guy gets a grip on the beast, saving the cats' lives -- he held the snake's head and mouth with his bare hands ... something most people wouldn't dream of doing.

That wasn't the end of it, though ... 'cause it took a while for him to pull the lengthy reptile out of the cats' cage. Once the crate was free of the creature, he rushed off -- reportedly dumping it in a nearby bush.

Wildfire rescue teams were alerted of the massive snake, and tried tracking it down ... it's unclear if it was a successful hunt, but ya gotta imagine it wouldn't be that hard to find something that huge. Then again, there are lots of 'em in Thailand!

El Air Atlanta Islandia 747 se dirigía a Bélgica el 9 de noviembre, cuando los pilotos se vieron obligados a volver al aeropuerto JFK de Nueva York cuando se dieron cuenta de que el caballo estaba fuera de su corral y suelto en la bodega de carga.

En el audio de la cabina, obtenido por "You Can See The ATC", se puede escuchar al piloto diciéndole al control de tráfico aéreo que hay un caballo suelo: "Somos un avión de carga con un caballo a bordo. El caballo se ha escapado de su establo".

Aunque volar no era un problema, volvieron de urgencia a la Gran Manzana porque no podían volver a sujetar al caballo mientras volaban, así que tendrían que emprender el camino de vuelta... lo que requería echar 20 toneladas de combustible para no perder potencia.😄🐴

Neigh-sayers will say it ain't true ... but a jumbo jet really did make an emergency landing when a horse broke free from its cargo hold, 30,0000 feet in the air.

The Air Atlanta Icelandic 747 was bound for Belgium on November 9 when pilots were forced to divert back to NYC's JFK airport once they realized the horse was out of his pen, and loose in the cargo hold.

In the cockpit audio, obtained by "You Can See The ATC," you can hear the pilot telling air traffic control they've got a horse making a break for it. He said, "We are a cargo plane with a live animal, a horse, on board. The horse has broken out of its stall."

While flying wasn't an issue, they doubled down on the urgency to return to the Big Apple because they couldn't re-secure the horse while flying, so they'd have to head back -- which required dumping 20 tons of fuel to avoid losing horsepower.😄🐴

Once on stable ground, the pilots requested the aid of a veterinarian for their unsettled passenger. They described the horse as being "in difficulty," but didn't state the exact nature of the issue.

The King of Jungle briefly became the Emperor of Rome this weekend after a lion escaped from an Italian circus and prowled around in public.

The jailbreak happened Saturday evening in the seaside town of Ladispoli -- where a traveling circus was passing through, and the big cat somehow got out of its cage and began roaming the streets, with a lot of eyewitnesses and cameras rolling.

Several bystanders captured video of the lion walking around residential neighborhoods ... casually cruising along sidewalks and in between parked cars, minding its own business.

Eventually, the circus owners and local vets were able to track it down and sedate it -- bringing it back to where it belonged -- and nobody was harmed while it was out and about.

As far as what led to the escape in the first place ... it's a bit of a mystery, but the owner of the circus suggested to local media that somebody might've let the animal out on purpose, insisting he'd double checked the cage and locks before turning in for the night.

In terms of fears for public safety, the guy said he actually was more afraid for the lion.

El asunto es así, la famosa finca, que una vez fue propiedad y estuvo ocupada por el difunto Hugh Hefner, ha tenido durante mucho tiempo una tonelada de bestias aladas en sus terrenos. The Playboy Mansion has historically been home to a helluva lot of hot people -- but it's also housed some creatures of another feather ... and one of those bastards escaped!

Here's the deal ... the famed estate -- once owned and occupied by the late Hugh Hefner -- has long had a crap ton of winged beasts living on the grounds. It's a little unclear how long they've been around, but guests who've swung by over the years have seen them.

Among the many birds are parrots -- not to mention other exotic ones, like toucans for example -- and one of the Pollys actually made a brazen run flight for it 2 weeks ago.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the L.A. Fire Dept. responded to the L.A. County Club Oct. 29 to help rescue a parrot that had fled from the Mansion -- and fluttered on over to the neighboring country club. We're told they believe it got out with the help of a strong gust of Santa Ana winds.

Anyway, a fire truck ended up showing up to deal with it ... cat-and-ladder-style, 'cause our sources say the bird ended up flying into a nearby tree -- where first responders attempted to coax it down using a little H2O. Not a little actually -- quite a bit -- 'cause we're told they ended up using about half a tank of water to "make it rain" atop the tree, in hopes that it would force the parrot to come down to their level. Unfortunately, the bird only went higher.

Eventually, we're told the Fire Dept. had to pack it up and leave -- 'cause the golf course was closing, and they weren't any close to getting the bird down. So, that's what they did.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with arson and other felonies after allegedly intentionally setting fire to a New York horse barn, tragically killing over 24 thoroughbreds.

The New York State Police say they responded to a structure fire at the Tioga Downs Casino complex early Thursday morning in Nichols, NY ... about an hour or two south of Syracuse.

NYSP says the blaze was catastrophic, killing more than two dozen horses in a horrific manner ... also leaving one human, who tried to save the animals, injured in the blaze. There was also thousands of dollars worth of damage.

"Over two dozen racehorses died in the fire," NYSP said.

"One person who entered the burning barn in an attempt to save horses suffered second-degree burns and was transported to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment."

The state police also sent condolences to "individuals and families that lost their beloved animals during this tragic incident."

The NYSP's ongoing investigation revealed the fire was set intentionally ... and identified Boyd H. Fenton as the suspect.

The Pennsylvania native was arrested and charged with third-degree arson, third-degree burglary, 2nd-degree assault, and criminal mischief in the second.

PETA released a statement about the devastating news ... and expects the courts to prosecute Fenton to the "fullest extent of the law."

NYSP dice que el incendio fue catastrófico y que mató a más de dos docenas de caballos de una forma horrible. También alcanzó a un ser humano, que trató de salvar a los animales y que fue herido en el incendio, y produjeron daños por varios miles de dólares.

"Más de dos docenas de caballos de carreras murieron en el incendio", dijo NYSP.

La policía estatal también envió sus condolencias a "las personas y familias que perdieron a sus queridos animales durante este trágico incidente".

Check out the extremely rare find, captured on a remote camera placed by Oxford University researchers on an expedition to Indonesia. The footage shows the long-beaked creature just strolling in the woods.

Dr. James Kempton told BBC News he and his whole team got the impressive footage on "the very last SD card that we looked at, from the very last camera that we collected, on the very last day of our expedition." Point being ... the critter made one hell of an entrance.

He says his whole team was "euphoric" when they found the old timer, and rightfully so ... the Echidna -- scientific name Zaglossus attenboroughi, named after famed biologist Sir David Attenborough -- was thought to have evolved in the time of dinosaurs, about 200 million years ago.

It isn't clear exactly when the spiky mammal went extinct -- or so scientists thought -- but the only evidence of the creature was collected in 1961.

Olivia the Corgi -- known as 1/2 of the famous doggy duo "Hammy & Olivia" -- has died ... this according to her owner, Chris, who broke down in tears telling fans about her recent health emergency.

Chris got extremely emotional in Wednesday's video, telling people Olivia passed peacefully after an emergency -- saying she was unable to empty her kidneys and he and his partner, Sarah, made the tough call to put her down ... adding, "We just didn't want her to suffer."

He rightfully says the family is "crushed" by the sudden death ... adding she was his best friend, and is urging his fellow pet owners to love their furry friends a bit extra today.

Olivia and Hammy rose to viral fame in 2020, gaining traction for their hilarious videos together -- getting decked out and hilarious costumes and even barking in a handful of comedic sketches, too.

Their stardom didn't end online, however ... because the pups -- along with Chris and Sarah, of course -- made it onto shows like "Access Hollywood" and several L.A. local news programs to talk about their recent dog food cookbook, "Barkcuterie."

Olivia was only 8 years old.

It seemed like we finally had proof of life outside planet Earth when a bizarre-looking creature washed up on the Western shores of Australia ... but now we know what it is, and it's a real shock.

The blob has the appropriate name -- Coffin Ray -- aka a Numbfish.

Get this ... Mr. Ray produces a shock of more than 200 volts  ... it's 20 times more powerful than the device divers use to shock sharks into retreat mode.

One of the folks who had a bad experience with a Coffin Ray compared it to touching an electric fence.

Although Coffin Rays don't seem to like the U.S.A., divers say they've seen a bunch of them in the shallow waters of Australia, where they bury themselves in the sand.

TMZ Hip Hop obtained an open letter Tuesday, penned by PETA's Senior VP Lisa Lange and addressed to Pharrell, which reads ... "Dear Pharrell, This is an invitation the likes of which you’ve never been offered before."

The correspondence is filled with references to Pharrell-produced hits, yet there's nothing joking about it as Lange says ... "When you were made men’s creative director of Louis Vuitton, we hoped animals would get lucky and that you would choose vegan fabrics, which are the preference of today’s ethical and environmentally conscious consumers. But we aren’t happy to note your newest design, the "Millionaire" Speedy bag, which is crafted from crocodile skin, because when it comes to animals being used for fashion, it isn’t beautiful—it’s abuse."

Lange also accused the Neptunes' superproducer of sitting idle as the crocs get mutilated for their skin -- a complaint she also recently leveled at Offset for his birthday bag blowout for Cardi B.

The letter continued, "A PETA Asia investigation found workers at LVMH’s suppliers cutting live crocodiles’ necks open and ramming metal rods down their spines while they were still conscious. Another investigation revealed that workers at facilities supplying LVMH struck pythons repeatedly on the head, suspending them in the air, inflating their bodies with water, and disemboweling them -- even as they moved about."

Lange wants Pharrell to go to a crocodile factory farm, where she says bags like the Millionaire Speedy are made ... and she's warning it won't be a fun trip to the zoo.

In her words -- "You’d want to bring along nose plugs and high boots to wade through fetid, waste-filled water. If we go to an indoor tank, also bring a flashlight, because you won’t see daylight. There are no blurred lines here. Killing wildlife for a bag isn’t cool—it’s cold. Are you up for this trip?"
