Suge Knight Prosecutors Air Dirty Laundry To Protect Witnesses
10:25 PM PT -- The judge agreed with prosecutors and just ruled Suge's defense team cannot receive additional info about some of the potential witnesses but they did get several names.
Suge Knight is a very dangerous man whose criminal record stretches almost 30 years ... at least that's the point prosecutors are trying to make in order to protect witnesses from his wrath.
Suge's defense team has asked prosecutors in the murder case for their witness list -- but prosecutors say they're hesitant to release that info given Suge's lengthy criminal past.
In legal docs, obtained by TMZ, prosecutors list numerous run-ins Suge has had with the law over the years -- including an attempted murder charge in '87, assault with a firearm in '95 and ordering a bodyguard to punch a woman. Their list went on and on.
And get this ... prosecutors say Suge's so intimidating, when new rappers come to L.A. or Vegas, they're required to pay a monetary "tax" to stay safe.
The judge will decide if prosecutors have to release the witness names. A hearing is scheduled for Friday.

'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta' Star Cops Say Not So Innocent in 'Brutality' Video
"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Tommie Lee was flat out lying when she claimed she was brutalized for no reason by cops -- at least according to the police report -- but she maintains she's innocent.
Tommie blasted the Georgia State Patrol Tuesday, posting a video of an officer yanking her from the backseat of a Jeep back in January and arresting her. She claimed she was a passenger and was manhandled for no reason.
According to the police report -- obtained by TMZ -- when deputies pulled the Jeep over in the ATL area they noticed lots of movement in the vehicle.
Deputies say the guy in the driver's seat first lied, but then admitted he had switched with Tommie -- who jumped in the back.
That would explain why deputies wanted Tommie out of the backseat. They demanded she step out of the vehicle several times, but she held her ground. Deputies then pulled her out and hooked her up.
Cops say Tommie's eyes were watery, bloodshot and her speech was slurred, so she was booked for drunk driving, disorderly conduct and driving on an expired license.
And, for bad measure, she peed herself in the cruiser on the way to the station.
Tommie tells us the police report is BS, and insists she did nothing wrong. On the peeing ... she blames deputies for not taking her to a bathroom.

NFL's Davone Bess Video Of SWAT Team Raid During Arizona Standoff
TMZ Sports has obtained police body cam footage from the SWAT team raid on ex-NFL wide receiver Davone Bess ... including the moment officers sicced an attack dog on him.
27 police officers assisted in the June 19th incident -- including the SWAT team, which was called in because Bess had barricaded himself in his Arizona home, brandished a knife and had threatened to shoot cops.
According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, the whole thing started when Bess fled during a routine traffic stop -- and locked himself in his Gilbert, AZ home.
The report paints a picture of a very mentally disturbed person -- with 30-year-old Bess repeatedly making bizarre demands, incoherent statements and losing track of where he was.
Cops ultimately used a K9 unit to apprehend Bess, fearing he was a danger to himself and others. According to the report, the dog bit Bess for 30 seconds.
After he was taken into custody, Bess demanded a hamburger and K-Y Jelly ... fell asleep while being questioned by officers ... and eventually explained that he initially fled from cops because he was "searching for peace."
Earlier in the evening, Bess' mother told officers her son suffered from depression and had multiple head injuries from playing in the NFL. Bess was in the league from 2008 to 2013.
She also said he had been hospitalized weeks before the incident, had made suicidal statements in the past and that the family was trying to get him help for mental health issues.
A seemingly confused Bess admitted to smoking marijuana, drinking vodka and taking Zoloft (an anti-depression, anti-anxiety drug) before the police incident.
Bess was ultimately arrested and charged with unlawful flight from a law enforcement vehicle. If convicted, he faces up to 2 years in prison. His family clearly wants a judge to order him to get mental help instead of a jail sentence.
Bess has since plead not guilty and is due back in court in August.
