'Deadliest Catch' Star Jerod Sechrist Arrested for Drugs ... Cops Say Heroin

Published

One of Captain Wild Bill's former deckhands on Cape Caution just went overboard with the law -- getting busted for drugs, which cops believe to be heroin.

33-year-old Jerod Sechrist was arrested in Tampa, FL on drug charges -- specifically felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, cops say they arrested Jerod on an open warrant last week for a previous reckless driving case. When they took him to the station at around 3:00 AM, officers say they found a small clear bag in his pocket with a white powder substance inside.

Police say they did an in-house test on the spot, and the results came back positive for heroin.

Jerod appeared in 3 episodes in 2016 but was memorable for having a hard time differentiating between male and female king crabs. He continually pissed off his crewmates due to the potentially costly mistakes, because it's illegal to catch females.

Atatiana Jefferson Cop Who Shot Her at Home Arrested for Murder

Published | Updated

The white cop who shot and killed Atatiana Jefferson in her own home over the weekend is sitting in a jail cell right now ... this after outcry from the community.

Former Fort Worth police officer Aaron Dean was booked on a murder charge Monday, according to online records from the Tarrant County Corrections Center. It appears Dean is still in custody as of this writing -- with his bail set at $200,000.

It's unclear how exactly he was taken into custody, but Dean's arrest comes hours after he turned in his resignation ... and reportedly refused to cooperate with the investigation. This all comes after he gunned down Atatiana -- a black woman -- while in her own home.

Dean was responding to a welfare call at around 2:30 AM Saturday after a concerned neighbor said they saw her door open. In body cam video released by the Forth Worth Police, you see an officer -- reported to be Dean -- creep up to a window in her backyard ... and almost instantly fire a shot after seeing Atatiana approach from inside.

He quickly told her to put her hands up, but barely gave her any time to respond ... and he also did not identify himself as a police officer. Atatiana was reportedly playing video games with her 8-year-old nephew in the house ... again, her own property.

She succumbed to her wounds and died in her bedroom.

Of course, the city of Fort Worth was outraged by the killing ... with even the Mayor calling for justice over the situation. In an open letter, Betsy Price apologized to Atatiana's family and demanded answers from the Police Department.

Atatiana's murder comes just a little over a week after ex-Dallas cop Amber Guyger was convicted of murdering Botham Jean in 2018 when she shot him in his own apartment.

Cuba Gooding Jr. Facing New Criminal Charges Related to New Accuser

Published | Updated

Cuba Gooding Jr. is now being accused of another incident of sexual misconduct -- the 5th such allegation -- and he's going to face a new charge for it, this week in court.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ several other women have recently come forward to make new allegations of sexual misconduct against Cuba. We're told one of them is a woman making a claim about Cuba from October 2018.

While the D.A.'s kept details of the allegation under wraps ... it's expected to come out Tuesday when Cuba is arraigned on a new charge. Cuba's attorney, Mark Heller, tells us his client will plead not guilty.

Heller also says the new accuser never pressed charges immediately following the incident, and he claims she only came forward after seeing Cuba's arrest this year. He further claims, her attorney tried to settle the case, but Cuba "declined to be shaken down."

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Tatianna Arrested ... For Disorderly Conduct

Published
UPDATE

5:34 AM PT -- Tatianna released a statement Monday, saying, "im fine! It was a dumb situation that I wish didn't happen  but shit happens and people make mistakes. There was no violence or ridiculousness."

UPDATE

She continues, "I'm crying in the picture because I was scared and had never been in that position before. wish I would have just smiled."

A well-known contestant from "RuPaul's Drag Race" got busted this weekend for allegedly acting a fool -- and then posed for this epic mug shot afterward.

Joey Santolini -- AKA Tatianna of season 2 -- was arrested Sunday in Atlanta for disorderly conduct. Allow us to explain.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Tatianna was taken in by cops after she allegedly followed a nightclub employee back into the building through a door she wasn't supposed to use. According to cops, the employee had just snapped a photo with her, and after that ... he went in through an employees-only entrance.

Tatianna allegedly wanted to come in that way too, despite the employee telling her to go around the front. We're told Tatianna ignored him, and came in through the back anyway. That's when cops were called ... and things allegedly got a little outta hand.

MMA's Ali Abdelaziz Cited for Battery Over Altercation with Rival Manager

Published | Updated

MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz -- who reps UFC champs like Khabib, Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman -- was cited for misdemeanor battery over an altercation with a rival manger, cops tell TMZ Sports.

Abdelaziz -- who runs Dominance MMA -- got into it with Abe Kawa, Vice President of First Round Management, during a PFL event at the Mandalay Bay on Friday.

We're told ... Las Vegas Metro Police Dept. officers were on scene when the two got into a heated verbal altercation, which escalated into a physical incident.

Law enforcement sources tell us officers on scene say they witnessed Abdelaziz deliver two "open palm strikes" -- aka slaps -- to Kawa's face.

Abdelaziz was NOT arrested, but he was detained and cited on scene ... and if the case moves forward, he'll be notified to appear in court.

Footage of the incident was posted on social media. UFC star Anthony Pettis, Kawa's client, was in the middle of the action and told ESPN's Marc Raimondi "Abdelaziz slapped Kawa 'like a bitch' and 'was gone in 15 seconds.'"

Cops note Abdelaziz was cooperative with police during the incident, as was Kawa.

In Nevada, misdemeanor battery carries a maximum punishment of 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine ... though it's HIGHLY unlikely Abdelaziz will spend a minute behind bars for two alleged slaps.

Jeremy Renner Fires Back at Ex ... You're the One with A Drug Problem!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

11:54 AM PT -- Jeremy is firing back in legal docs of his own at Sonni's claims he abuses drugs and alcohol in front of their daughter ... stating she's making up the allegations because she's pissed their relationship never worked out and looking for a cash grab.

UPDATE

Renner insists he does not abuse drugs or alcohol and even states he submitted to random drug testing for 3 months to defeat Sonni's claims. According to Renner, those tests all came back negative and suggests Sonni is the one with a drug problem.

UPDATE

Jeremy states he even hired a mental health specialist to monitor his visits with Ava to prove he was both sober and a capable parent.

UPDATE

The docs also lay out a timeline of Renner's film releases and the history of Sonni's allegations against him -- including sexual and physical abuse of Ava -- suggesting Sonni plans her attack to bring Jeremy bad press during his movie runs.

UPDATE

Renner says Sonni's allegations stem from her psychological problems and he wants the court to limit her time with Ava until she gets treatment and shows she can, "overcome her overwhelming obsession with demonizing" Renner.

UPDATE

Renner says over the 1-year marriage, Sonni would brag to friends that she had "bagged an Avenger" and joked she wanted to introduce her own friends to fellow 'Avenger' cast members so they could "bag an Avenger as well."

UPDATE

7:33 AM PT -- A rep for Jeremy tells TMZ, "The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy. This is a matter for the court to decide. It's important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni's declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind."

Jeremy Renner was coked up and drunk when he began rhapsodizing about killing his ex-wife Sonni, and the night ended with the actor shoving a gun in his mouth and threatening to kill himself ... so claims Sonni in new legal docs.

Jeremy and Sonni are in a battle royale for custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Ava. She's asking the judge to change the order from joint custody to sole custody on her part with monitored visitation on Jeremy's.

Casanova, Pop Smoke, Don Q Ousted from Rolling Loud Fest ... After NYPD Request

Published | Updated
UPDATE

5:06 PM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the letter that has circulated online is, in fact, authentic. NYPD sent it to Rolling Loud brass.

Casanova and other NYC rappers appear to have been effectively blackballed from performing in their own town by the NYPD, getting nixed from Rolling Loud after a mere request.

A letter that's purported to have been written by the City of New York and signed off by Asst. Police Chief Martin Morales surfaced over the weekend, and it appears to show the NYPD asking Rolling Loud organizers to block Casanova and co. from getting on stage.

The letter -- addressed to Rolling Loud and Insomniac, LLC -- reads ... "The New York City Police Department requests that the below individuals be removed from performing at the 'Rolling Loud Festival' taking place at Citi Field on Saturday October 12, 2019 and Sunday October 13, 2019, due to public safety concerns."

It goes on to list 22GZ, Casanova, Pop Smoke, Sheff G and Don Q as artists who shouldn't be allowed to perform -- with cops citing affiliation to recent acts of violence in the city.

They say it quite clearly ... "The New York City Police Department believes if these individuals are allowed to perform, there will be a higher risk of violence. I look forward to working with you in an effort to keep this event safe."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

It would seem the letter -- and the not-so-subtle plea -- was taken to heart, because Casanova announced he was, in fact, not performing ... and wasn't happy about it.

On IG, the rapper -- who's had past beefs with Tekashi 6ix9ine -- wrote in part ... "My last felony conviction was 2007. I lost everything I ever loved and I’m STILL losing. So much so that 'they' won’t allow me to perform at Rolling Loud NYC on Sunday."

Casanova added, "It’s unfair and unfortunate that my past, which I’ve dealt with legally and personally, continues to stigmatize me and my career as a recording artist."

Reggie Bush USC Ban Could End In 2020 ... School Official Says

Published | Updated

Great news for Reggie Bush ... his NCAA-issued ban requiring him to stay away from USC could expire in 2020, this according to USC's interim athletic director, Dave Roberts.

Roberts spelled it out to Ryan Young of TrojanSports.com ... saying a new NCAA rule "basically reduced any disassociation to a 10-year disassociation."

"The COI, which I sit on -- Committee on Infractions -- had recently put through a rule change. It's called an IOP -- internal operating procedure -- which basically reduced any disassociation to a 10-year disassociation, much like what was given to [former Michigan basketball star] Chris Webber," Roberts said.

"So in June of 2020, the disassociation for Bush will expire and it's going to be up to the university what the university wants to do."

The backstory ... back in 2010, the NCAA ordered USC to completely disassociate with Bush over Reggie's improper benefits scandal.

During Bush's college career, Reggie's family received improper benefits from 2 sports marketers who were hoping to sign him. As a result, the NCAA stripped USC of 14 wins, including the 2004 national championship. Bush was also stripped of his 2005 Heisman Trophy.

USC has previously said they want Reggie back on campus -- but they can't disobey the NCAA.

Reggie recently went back to the Coliseum in Los Angeles to cover a USC football game for FS1 and received an ovation from the crowd.

Also, several high-profile USC alum -- including LenDale White -- have called for the end of the Bush ban.

Bill Cosby Prosecutor's Tasteless Joke ... Accusers Should Knife Him!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

1:35 PM PT -- A rep for the Montgomery County D.A.'s office tells TMZ, "This was an ill-advised attempt at humor related to stories in the news at the time. No communications impacted the administration of justice in the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Cosby."

Bill Cosby should have been ambushed by 27 women, who accused him of sexual assault, with "small, very sharp knives" during a 2015 TV interview ... according to one of the lawyers on the case.

The Montgomery County D.A.'s Office just released -- under court order -- emails regarding Cosby, and in one exchange from October 2015, obtained by TMZ, prosecutor Stewart Ryan responds to an article link sent by Deputy District Attorney Thomas McGoldrick about NBC's "Dateline" airing a joint interview with the 27 alleged victims.

Ryan replies with a joke about setting the disgraced TV dad up "To Catch a Predator"-style ... by inviting him to the interview, ambushing him and allowing the women to interview him.

McGoldrick takes it a step further, though ... by suggesting Cosby's accusers be allowed to "interview" him with knives.

In the docs, Zac claims there was an understanding with Ryan that Brown would have ultimate control of the musical composition, so he did a rough mix and kept in contact with Ryan.

Sources close to Tekashi tell TMZ ... he just cut a record deal worth more than $10 million with his former label -- 10K Projects.

Once 6ix9ine's a free man, our sources say he'll get the money in return for putting out 2 albums ... one in English and one in Spanish.

We broke the story ... Tekashi seems to believe him testifying against his old gang members will be forgotten once he's released from prison, and he -- and his tracks -- will be more popular than ever.

His former label apparently agrees, and is willing to take the risk not just on Tekashi being right ... but on the judge handing him a light sentence.

It's unclear if the alleged victim is the same woman who made the initial allegation against the actor. When Cuba was arrested, the D.A. revealed there was an additional incident the NYPD was investigating, but it's unclear if this is the basis for the new allegation.

Cuba will be arraigned on the new charge next week.

Joshua Brown 3 Murder Suspects ID'd ... Cops Say Drug Deal Gone Wrong

Published | Updated

Three suspects have been identified in the murder of Joshua Brown -- Botham Jean's neighbor who testified against ex-cop Amber Guyger.

Dallas PD held a press conference Tuesday saying that the three men were from Alexandria, LA and that they'd traveled to Dallas to purchase drugs from Joshua. Cops claim that an argument ensued, and at one point Joshua shot one of the men in the chest.

Police say that one of the three men, Thaddeous Green, fired upon Joshua twice ... ultimately killing him. The suspect who was shot was treated in a local area hospital, and is now in police custody. The 2 others are being sought on warrants for their arrest.

The news comes after mass speculation that Joshua's killing was in retaliation for his recent testimony against Amber ... which helped to secure a guilty conviction of murder. As we reported ... she was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime.

Just days later ... Joshua himself had been shot and killed in Dallas, and people were outraged -- with some claiming he was targeted in some way and demanding answers.

Unclear if the arrest of these guys will put that conjecture to rest -- but it's clear Dallas PD was feeling pressure to move quickly on the case.
