Ex-Florida Democratic Governor Nominee Andrew Gillum Cops Say He Had Meth, Cut Straws, Bong During Bust

Andrew Gillum -- the former Florida politician who lost to Ron DeSantis by a slim margin in the 2018 governor's race  -- allegedly had methamphetamine, cut straws, weed, pipes and a bong on him when he was arrested in Alabama.

According to the incident report, obtained by TMZ ... Gillum was arrested last week on U.S. Highway 98 near Walmart Drive in Daphne, where cops say they found 3 grams of methamphetamine, 8 pre-rolled marijuana joints, 4 cut straws, 3 pipes, and a bong during the bust.

Police say they pulled Gillum over because he was driving erratically.

We broke the story ... the ex-gubernatorial candidate was arrested and charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Mystikal's now doing hard time behind bars ... because he was just transferred to the notorious Angola Prison in Louisiana ... TMZ has learned.

The Grammy-nominated rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, will be housed in protective custody at the maximum-security prison -- known as the "Alcatraz of the South" -- according to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections.

We're told Mystikal's custody arrangement was the best option due to his celebrity status ... and he'll be kicking back in his own single occupancy cell.

Previously, Mystikal was locked up for four long years in Ascension Parish Jail while his rape case slogged through the court system. Under a plea deal with prosecutors, Mystikal copped to third-degree rape and was sentenced to 20 years in The Big House.

Tyler Robinson, the 23-year-old alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk, is now in the second day of his preliminary hearing ... and a law enforcement officer is testifying against Robinson's noticeable limp -- caught on video the day of the shooting -- which is claimed to be because of a weapon tucked in his pants.

Check out the video ... Tyler is seen going up a flight of stairs on Utah Valley University campus with a noticeable limp ... and this was moments before he allegedly assassinated Charlie Kirk.

Police are saying that limp is not because of any physical injury or deformity, but rather because he had a gun -- or perhaps part of a gun -- tucked away in his pants which inhibited the use of his leg.

Virginia Murder Man Convicted and Sentenced for Murder of Pregnant Cousin

A man has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his pregnant cousin and another woman in a Virginia residence ... TMZ has learned.

According to multiple reports, Edward Jackson Bland will serve two life terms without the possibility of parole for shooting and killing Leann Harris and Asia Payne in April 2024.

Harris’ dad, James Caison, told WUSA9 at the time that Bland was Harris’ cousin and they were "the best of friends," telling the outlet … "That was her best friend."

Erika Kirk and Charlie Kirk's parents walked out of court as a police officer described the moment Charlie was fatally shot ... an emotional scene as prosecutors began laying out their case against his accused killer.

Erika -- along with Robert and Kathryn Kirk -- left the courtroom Monday before former Utah Valley University police officer Chris Bagley testified about the September 2025 shooting ... though they later returned following a break.

Robinson is accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in September 2025. He's facing multiple charges, including aggravated murder, and prosecutors have said they intend to seek the death penalty if he's convicted.

Erika has attended several court proceedings in the case ... and Monday's hearing could determine whether prosecutors have enough evidence to move forward with a trial.

An innocent family's quick stop for McDonald's turned into every parent's worst nightmare ... and now an 11-year-old girl will have to live with a bullet lodged in her head.

The young girl remains hospitalized after she was struck during a shooting in a McDonald's parking lot in Hallandale Beach, Florida on June 27. According to a GoFundMe organized by her father's coworkers ... doctors determined removing the bullet right now would be too dangerous because it could cause even more damage.

Her father, Oscar, was also wounded after gunfire broke out between other people in the parking lot. The fundraiser says he and his family had absolutely nothing to do with the confrontation ... they had just arrived for lunch, with Oscar waiting in the car alongside his three children while his wife went inside to pick up their food.

Last month, Daniel Robbins allegedly murdered Jessica Folds in Chambers County, AL, amid their turbulent relationship, police said. As Robbins dragged Folds' body into the woods, he suddenly keeled over and died from a possible heart attack, cops said. 

Folds' brother, Jason Walters, now tells TMZ ... karma caught up with Robbins as he was carrying out his evil deed, adding, "The lord works in mysterious ways."

The case is being prosecuted by Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia ... she's adamant Hearn defiled the monument when he allegedly ripped a piece of liner out of the Pool.

Hearn was arrested for the alleged vandalization a couple weeks ago. The 67-year-old was held at the Park Police facility for about five hours before he was released that same day.

Since then, the Olympian has held his stance he did not destroy, break, or peel off any portion of the Reflecting Pool.

Trump was quick to condemn his act and any other attempts to vandalize the Reflecting Pool ... and as the drawn-out renovation project that caused this whole fiasco in the first place continues ... the monument is surrounded by fencing and constant surveillance by AI security cameras on the heels of July 4th weekend.

Harvey Weinstein 'Out of the Woods' After Medical Incident

Harvey Weinstein's recovering nicely after suffering heart failure ... according to his longtime representative.

Juda Engelmayer tells TMZ ... Weinstein is "out of the woods for now" and feeling fine. The antibiotics treated his pneumonia, and his heart is doing much better because the doctors are monitoring it with an EKG.

We're told Weinstein is already able to walk around.

It's a huge improvement from his previous condition ... remember, Weinstein suffered heart failure behind bars at Rikers Island weeks ago because of the pneumonia, and he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital.

Baltimore Ravens star Calais Campbell's brother was charged with murdering his mother ... and now there's new 911 audio where a family member says the brother is "mentally ill" and "diagnosed with schizophrenia."

In the audio clip, a man identified as Mr. Campbell tells the 911 operator to send police to a house in Buckhead -- an upscale Atlanta neighborhood -- to check on his mother, Nateal Campbell.

The caller says his brother suffers from schizophrenia "and some other things" and stays with their mom at her house. He says neighbors saw his brother driving their mom's car, which is very unusual.
