Too Short's got an easy explanation for why he held off on becoming a father until now ... he was too busy pouring his time and energy into hooking up with ladies ... lots of 'em.

The legendary rapper was on "TMZ Live" Tuesday and wasn't the least bit shy about why he waited until the ripe age of 53 to become a father. Too Short point-blank says he was enjoying his celebrityhood and all the trappings that came with it.

Translation: He was too busy being daddy to be someone's dad.

An endurance runner was struck by lightning and DIED less than a quarter-mile from the finish line of a 50k race, officials confirmed.

The man, 33-year-old Thomas Stanley, was running in the FlatRock 50k race at Elk City State Park in Kansas on Saturday, when a storm broke out.

Witnesses say runners and officials raced over to Stanley and attempted to revive him, but they were unable to save the runner.

He's survived by his wife and 3 kids, none of whom were at the race that day.

Event organizers issued a statement, saying, "Thomas' family says that the chances of being killed by a lightning strike are about one in a million, and Thomas was truly a one-in-a-million guy."

Thomas' wife, Ashley, talked about the tragedy with KWCH 12 ... saying it's been a difficult situation to explain to her kids ... especially their 6-year-old daughter.

"It's been hard to hear from her ... she's already drawing conclusions very quickly. She has already said, 'If daddy didn't do the race, he would still be here, right?' I said, 'yes.' She said, 'I wish daddy didn't do that race,' and I said, 'me too.'"

A GoFundMe page set up for the family has already raised more than $65,000.

Meghan Markle's nephew, Thomas Dooley, quickly lost his towel and was butt-ass naked during his rowdy arrest in Hollywood last week ... which we now have on video.

TMZ obtained footage of the arrest from Thursday, which took place right around the corner from the Hollywood Hotel just north of Santa Monica Blvd. As you can see ... it was a noisy affair, as officers attempted to detain Dooley..

We broke the story ... Thomas was arrested and ultimately booked for felony resisting arrest after police say he was spotted cruising up and down the boulevard covered only by a small towel.

Cops say he was also shouting gibberish to himself, and appeared to be under the influence of some substance. We're told he had to be taken down after evading police.

Stacey Dash has got more problems than just a possible domestic violence charge .... turns out, she's broke.

Stacey filed legal docs claiming she is indigent ... meaning she doesn't have enough money to hire a private lawyer. She's asking to be repped by a public defender in her case.

TMZ broke the story ... Stacey was arrested Sunday after a domestic disturbance that ended with scratches on her husband's arm. Stacey claims any aggressiveness on her part was in self-defense, and that her hubby actually first attempted to choke her ... and she had to fend him off.

Things must be getting serious with GF Josie Canseco ... 'cause Brody Jenner tells TMZ Sports he wants to meet her daddy, Jose ... and even hit some dingers with him!!!

Justin and Hailey's people visited The Juice Hive in Bluffton, South Carolina Sunday to place a large order, because Justin really wants organic juice on hand for wedding guests. As you know ... the event is scheduled for Monday evening at the Montage Palmetto Bluff.

The Biebers ordered 20 gallons at 60 bucks a pop ... so that's $1,200 for the nuptial juice.

The Juice Hive order includes 3 main flavors -- Orange Bee, which is carrot and apple juice ... Red Bee, which adds beet to the mix ... and Green Bee, which is spinach, kale, cucumber and celery.

Sources close to June tell us her sister, Joanne, has spearheaded an effort to get June away from her BF, Geno. The next step, they say, is getting June professional help she desperately needs for her addiction issues. They know ... unless Geno's out of the picture, it's all futile.

June and Geno were in court in Alabama Wednesday when Geno lashed out, shouting slurs at photogs. We spotted a film crew documenting Joanne's efforts to help her sister.

In our video from the parking lot, Geno hugs a woman -- that's Joanne -- and you see her follow June and Geno go to their car ... as she begs June to grab lunch and talk. It's all to no avail because June slams the door in Joanne's face.

Check it out ... Kanye joyfully rapped with the help of the choir behind him, and it sounds like the man was flowing from off the top. A pure freestyle, in other words.

Liza Minnelli's standing firm on her policy of shunning movies associated with her mom ... and isn't the least bit swayed by Renee Zellweger's rave reviews in an upcoming biopic.

Sources close to Judy Garland's daughter tell TMZ ... she "most likely" won't see "Judy," starring Renee, because she's always stayed away from onscreen depictions of her mother or herself, and this one, in particular, has the potential to be painful viewing.

We're told Liza would find many of the scenes hurtful, and isn't looking to tarnish her memories of her mother. Our sources add, Liza believes if people want to see what Garland was like, they don't need a biopic -- they can simply watch her classic films or listen to her records.

Minnelli's half-sister, Lorna Luft, basically said the same recently, and reportedly won't be checking out Zellweger's performance either when the movie hits theaters this weekend.

Here's something we don't see all too often -- Kim Kardashian playing around with her kids out in the open ... all while Papa Bear cranked out an almighty performance in Detroit.

Kanye West had a marathon day in the Motor City Friday, first hosting his usual Sunday Service event in the afternoon at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre ... and later debuting his new album, "Jesus is King," during a nighttime listening party at the Fox Theatre.

While dad handled his biz at the former, his wife had her hands full with their children -- North and Saint -- to the side of the stage as they played like there was no tomorrow. It's unclear if Chicago or baby Psalm was there or not, but they do not show up in these clips.

Anyway ... it doesn't look like the little tykes had much of anything other than their imagination and some nearby rocks and grass to entertain themselves with. And, lo and behold, they made due with that ... having a helluva time. Gotta love kids, right?

Christie Brinkley is out of a cast after injuring her right arm in a nasty fall during "Dancing With The Stars" practice ... and it's clear why she was forced to bow out of the competition.

The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model showed off her injuries Friday over social media, and the pics are gnarly.

Christie's surgically repaired right wrist looks badly bruised and mangled ... and she even shared a few images from before and after she went under the knife, including her X-ray.

You'll recall ... Christie took a nasty fall during 'DWTS' rehearsal earlier this month, injuring her arm in the process and being knocked out of the event before it even started. The untimely injury forced her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook to step up and take her place.

Looks like Christie was still able to keep a smile on her face throughout the painful ordeal ... hey, she is a super model after all.

As for Sailor, she's still alive on 'DTWS' and making momma proud!!!

Lonzo Ball has taken his career into his own hands ... saying he's "making all the decisions now" ... and taking control from LaVar.

The New Orleans Pelicans star -- who LaVar recently referred to as "damaged goods" -- told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski he's not letting his dad get involved in his business decisions anymore ... and their relationship will improve because of it.

"My dad has always been talking my whole life. It's nothing different to me," Zo says.

"I think what makes it easier is that I'm controlling everything now. You really can't tell me what to do. This is my life, my career. I'm making all the decisions now. I chose to go to CAA. I just think me becoming my own man is going to make it easier, honestly."

Zo also spoke about the career advice he's given his younger brother, LaMelo ... and he basically told the top hoops prospect to be his own man and not let Dad take over.

"I told him, make sure he takes control of his career. Now," Lonzo said. "Don't wait like I did. Hopefully that helps him. He seems like he's taking it all in. I'm excited for him."

Lonzo says if he could go back in time, he'd take meetings with shoe brands like Nike and Adidas instead of boxing them out for the family business ... although he doesn't regret sticking with BBB.

Zo also addressed the infamous "damaged goods" scene from their "Ball in the Family" reality show ... saying it's all out of love.

Snoop Dogg and his family are mourning the loss of his infant grandson, who appears to have died in the hospital.

Snoop's oldest child -- his 25-year-old son, Corde Broadus -- says his son, Kai Love, was born on September 15, but died on Sept. 25. Corde posted a video of his daughter kissing Kai as someone else was cradling the baby.

Kai was still in the hospital -- apparently in the neonatal intensive care unit -- when he passed away. A dry erase board outside his room had the words "Love + Light" written on it under the "Plan for the Day."

The family hasn't released a cause of death yet.

Prince Harry showed he's got his late mother's moxie -- walking through a landmine field just like she did some 22 years ago.

The Duke of Sussex paid homage to Princess Diana Friday in Angola ... walking through a minefield on day 5 of his royal tour of Africa. He was there to check out the landmine clearing efforts of The HALO Trust ... a charity Princess Di brought a lot of attention to in 1997.

She walked through the exact same minefield back then to bring awareness to the landmine crisis around the globe while calling for an international ban. Two decades later, the area's been transformed from uninhabitable to vibrant ... with colleges, schools and small businesses surrounding it.

Princess Diana spearheaded the Mine Ban Treaty ... a call to eliminate all landmines by 2025. Harry had taken up on the cause well before arriving in Angola to retrace his mother's steps.
