Dolly Parton set the record straight ... she and her longtime pal are not lesbians -- and, in fact, they're just like Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King ... FRIENDS.

12:55 PM PST: The FAA just released this statement: "TMZ does not have FAA authorization to fly an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), and we have no record that TMZ ever requested or inquired about an authorization."

TMZ is NOT getting in the DRONE business ... we don't have a drone ... we don't want a drone ... we never applied for a drone ... despite a bogus report to the contrary.

There are several major websites citing a story first published in the San Francisco Chronicle ... which says TMZ filed an application with the Federal Aviation Administration seeking to use a drone device.

Truth is ... while drones are, in fact, awesome ... it just ain't true.

Dolly Parton is NOT gay ... the same way that Oprah Winfrey is not gay ... so says Dolly Parton.

Dolly set the record straight about her sexual orientation during an interview with "Nightline." Parton says she's well aware of the rumors that she's in a secret relationship with her BFF Judy Ogle ... but claims the rumors are simply untrue.

"Judy and I have been best friends since we were like in the third and fourth grade," Parton explained ... saying, "We still just have a great friendship and relationship and I love her as much as I love anybody in the whole world, but we're not romantically involved."

In fact, Dolly -- who's been married to a man for 46 years -- says she bonded with Oprah over the lesbian rumors ... since Oprah has also been hounded by false rumors that she's in a secret relationship with her BFF Gayle King.

"Like Gayle, her friend, Judy, my friend ... [people] just think that you just can't be that close to somebody."

Will Smith's son Jaden is paving the way for a whole new generation of surfers -- the ones whose stereotype involves staying the hell away from deep water. You know. Don't make us say it.

Kim Kardashian may be a scaredy-cat when it comes to taking a stand on the Middle East, but she's not afraid to speak her mind on a report that Kourtney and Scott Disick are engaged -- she says it ain't so.

Kim flew in from NYC last night and after telling photogs the story was false, she was peppered with questions about the Middle East -- go figure. Predictably, she had nothing to say.

Bruce Jenner is scoffing at a recent story which claims he's fed up with his marriage to Kris Kardashian and headed to divorce court.

Bruce had just arrived at LAX Saturday night when a photog asked him about the story ... and he could barely hide his contempt, saying everything in his marriage was fine and he was heading home to Kris.

Bruce was less forthcoming on the subject of Kim Kardashian's wussy move Friday, when she tweeted her hope for peace in the Middle East and then removed the comments after some people criticized her.

Ben Savage has been SWORN TO SECRECY about the new "Boy Meets World" project ... or so it seems, 'cause when we asked about the rumored reboot last night -- he clammed up like it was a matter of national security.

Savage -- aka Cory Matthews -- was out in L.A. amidst rumors that Disney is all set to relaunch the famous '90s sitcom -- but this time around, the story will focus on the daughter his character had with Topanga.

According to reports, both Savage and Danielle Fishel have been approached to return for the reboot -- but neither actor has officially signed on.

Last night, Savage made it clear ... he knows something, but refused to drop details.

It's an amazing story -- Michael Jackson and Mark Wahlberg fighting over a private plane in the days after 9/11. The only problem ... IT'S JUST NOT TRUE ... this according to sources close to Wahlberg.

A new book, entitled "Untouchable," recounts the tale of MJ and MW both jockeying for a Sony private jet. Sony eventually let MJ have it, claims the book.

But sources close to Wahlberg tell TMZ the whole thing is a work of fiction. We're told Mark had no need for a plane from Sony to fly back to Los Angeles because he had his own.

"American Idol" finalist Elise Testone is a no-good man-thief who broke up the 6-year marriage of an 'Idol' guitarist -- at least according to the dude's wife, but Elise tells TMZ she never did the deed.

Here's the deal ... Elise met Errol Cooney during Season 11 of 'Idol' -- when she made it to the top 6, and he played guitar for the band. Both Elise and Errol were on Idol's summer tour.

Just last week Errol's wife Erin Cooney filed for divorce in LA County Superior Court ... citing "irreconcilable differences" -- but a rep for Erin tells TMZ the real reason for the breakup is an alleged affair between Errol and Elise.

The rep claims ... back in September, Erin stumbled upon what she believed to be incriminating emails between Elise and Errol, and immediately confronted him.

The rep says Errol confessed to everything.

In addition, TMZ obtained an email Elise sent to Erin last week ... in which Elise says, "Errol was the only person who I felt really loved me in my entire life."

Elise also apologizes to Erin for "any pain you feel I may have caused you, but this is not my fault."

When we contacted Elise ... she denied having the affair, saying ... "We developed a friendship on Tour and he developed feelings for me."

Elise adds, "Their divorce has nothing to do with me and has been a long time coming." Attempts to reach Errol were unsuccessful.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have called it quits, ending their relationship after almost two years together.

According to various reports, it was Selena who pulled the plug on the relationship sometime last week.

The two first sparked dating rumors in November 2010 when they were spotted dining together at an IHOP, but didn't go public with their relationship until February 2011.

Gomez was often the target of rabid Bieber fans, who constantly attacked her for dating their beloved Biebs.

The couple battled break-up rumors multiple times -- most recently earlier this week when Justin was seen hitting up a Broadway play with a group of people that included 19-year-old Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin.

Lamar Odom knows what it's like to be unceremoniously dumped by the Los Angeles Lakers ... so who better to ask about the quick-trigger firing of head coach Mike Brown ... but his answers were quite strange.

Odom plays for the rival Los Angeles Clippers now, but was traded out of the blue by the Lakers last year. Our photog spotted LO last night and asked him about Brown's dismissal and whether or not Kobe Bryant and his infamous "death stare" played a role in it.

Odom answered the question with a question and the whole convo was just plain odd.

Rumors be damned ... a frustrated Joe Simpson is telling friends and colleagues the stories that he's switched teams are absurd.

There have been several reports out recently that Joe has told his family he's gay and that's why his marriage fell apart. There are also reports about several guys he's rumored to be dating/hooking up with.

The people we spoke with are split -- some believe him, and some think he's just not ready to come out publicly.

So we gotta ask ...

Tim Tebow may be a couple of yards closer to scoring, because he's kinda gone public with his new GF Camilla Belle. Both say they're pure as the driven snow. So we gotta ask ...

There is NO new Kim Kardashian sex tape being shopped around the porn community -- in fact, a XXX sequel doesn't even exist ... this according to Vivid Entertainment.

Of course, Vivid would know ... besides being the biggest name in porn, it also owns the copyright to the original Kim K sex tape.

Now, Vivid honcho Steve Hirsch tells us ... the company has been investigating the rumors of a 2nd tape ... and has determined that it's total BS.

"We’ve already spoken to the third party that brought the first tape to us," Hirsch says ... "and, a second tape, or additional footage from the first tape isn't being shopped around or even exists."

Charlie Sheen -- contrary to the buzz that's going around H-Wood -- is NOT hospitalized for drug issues -- he's back on the set of "Anger Management" after battling a nasty ear infection.

Not to say Charlie isn't back to partying hard -- our sources say he's definitely doing that. But here's the deal with C.S. He flew Sam and Lola to NYC Saturday to spend some time with mama Denise Richards, then flew back the next day. That was just enough to trigger an ear infection, which benched Charlie from the set Tuesday.

Charlie is back to work today and at the time of this post he's doing a table read for his show.

BTW, Charlie has ear problems. Charlie had a really bad ear infection last year that was hard to shake.

9:40 AM PT -- People at the restaurant are saying ... actress Camilla Belle -- who starred in the movie "Push" -- was also inside the joint while Tim was there.

It's unclear if Camilla and Tim were together ... or if it was just a coincidence.

Fun Fact -- Tim and Camilla were on the red carpet together at the Met Gala in NY back in May (pictured below).

Here's a photo that'll definitely fuel some trade rumors ... NY Jets QB (?) Tim Tebow at a restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida last night ... 11 miles from the stadium where the Jaguars play.

The pic was taken at Latitude 30 ... where Tebow was hanging out with some lady friends ... including a woman who is rumored to be his GF.

There are reports floating around Jacksonville that Tebow will be traded from the Jets to the Jags by Thursday's NFL trade deadline ... but so far, it seems to be nothing more than talk.

BTW -- Tebow grew up in the Jacksonville area ... and went to school at UF ... so it's possible he was just visiting friends.
