Robin Williams Suicide By Hanging No Note
9:00 AM PDT: We've learned Robin was discovered by his personal assistant. Robin's wife Susan left their house Monday morning to run errands. While she was gone, Robin's assistant came over, knocked at the door but no one answered. She became concerned because Robin was supposed to be there. She then knocked on the window and when no one answered she went inside and found the body.
Robin Williams committed suicide by hanging himself inside his home ... sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ.
Sources say the family has heard nothing about a suicide note and it appears the comedian did not leave one.
We're told Robin hanged himself inside the main house ... not the garage.
Law enforcement will hold a news conference today at 11 AM PT to discuss details of the suicide and TMZ will livestream it.
As we previously reported ... Robin had been struggling with a deep depression and went to rehab last month. People familiar with his condition say he seemed almost too far gone back then.

Sources who were around Robin at the time he decided he needed rehab tell TMZ ... he was in a deep, dark depression. The people we spoke with confirm what Robin's people told TMZ when we broke the story ... he had not fallen off the wagon, but was struggling to center himself.
One source says, "Just before he checked in [to rehab] it was obvious ... he had not gotten treatment for so long he was too far down the road."
Another source says he had been "internalizing all the pain of addiction and it was obvious to anyone who was around him."
We're told Robin had been receiving "spiritual treatment" ... lots of meditating.
Robin had been dealing with depression for most of his life.

The N.W.A. flick "Straight Outta Compton" just got christened with a drive-by shooting ... right in front of the movie crew.
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... the gunfire erupted outside the Compton Courthouse last week when some neighborhood guys, not actors, flashed gang signs at a passing car.
We're told the gunmen were NOT targeting the crew -- but since they were setting up outside the courthouse the bullets came dangerously close. One nearby civilian was hit, and collapsed next to the set ... but survived.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. tells us the shooting is under investigation. They have not yet determined if it was gang-related.
We're told filming will continue this week in a rough area of Compton ... even though many members of the cast and crew are shaken, and worried about their safety.

Robin Williams Commits Suicide
Oakland TV station KTVU reported Williams hung himself.
Robin Williams has committed suicide.
The Oscar-winning actor/comedian killed himself in Tiburon, in Northern California. His people tell us he's been recently battling severe depression.
According to the Marin County Sheriff's Office ... authorities found Williams' body inside his home. They say he was found unresponsive.
He was unconscious and not breathing and the coroner suspects suicide due to asphyxia.
Williams was last seen alive at his house at 10 PM Sunday night.
Robin went back to rehab last month to focus on his sobriety. We're told alcohol was an issue.
Williams struggled with cocaine and alcohol abuse in the early '80s but was sober for 20 years ... with the exception of a stint in rehab in 2006.
One of Robin's last public appearances was at the San Francisco Zoo in June ... when the zoo named one of their howler monkeys "Robin" in his honor.
Robin's wife, Susan Schneider, says, "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken."
Robin's last tweet was on July 31 ... wishing his daughter Zelda Rae a happy 25th birthday. He posted a #tbt instagram pic of himself holding her as a child. Zelda did not respond.
Late Monday evening Zelda tweeted a quote from French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery ... "You alone will have the stars as no one else has them…In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing."

Under the terms of the divorce ... David and Tea have joint legal custody of their 2 kids -- ages 15 and 12 -- and she has primary physical custody.
They both live on the Upper West Side of NYC ... so shuttling back and forth won't be too complicated.
He's paying $8,333 a month in child support, plus all other expenses including summer camp, private school and college.
And he's paying $40K a month in spousal support.
The couple married in 1997 and briefly separated in 2008. They separated again in 2011.

Actor Danny Murphy -- who appeared in comedy classics like "There's Something About Mary" and "Kingpin" -- has died of cancer at the age of 59 ... TMZ has learned.
Danny was famous for his hilarious cameos in Farrelly brothers' movies. Peter Farrelly was a childhood friend, and gave him his first acting role.
Murphy became a quadriplegic in a diving accident when he was 19, and didn't decide to get into acting until much later in life. He was 40 when he got the "Kingpin" role.
Danny's agent Cynthia Kazarian confirms he died in Florida ... where he'd recently moved to do other things outside of acting.
He became an activist for disabled actors, and his theater company, Blue Zone Productions ... was created in 2008 specifically to assist performers with disabilities.
