The family of Misty Upham no longer believes she killed herself ... they say she ACCIDENTALLY fell off a cliff ... but it's unclear if this is little more than wishful thinking.

The "August: Osage County" star was found dead in a Washington ravine Thursday evening ... she went off a steep cliff near her home and apparently died from the fall.

Her family -- who said they had reason to fear Misty had committed suicide during the time she was missing -- now tells TMZ they believe it was a tragic accident, and that Misty wanted to live.

They say the area where Misty died is very scenic and they believe she was there in a reflective mood. They also say the more they thought about it the less likely they believed it was suicide because she had been talking about her plans to move back to L.A.

Misty's purse and shoes were not on her body ... they were at the top of the cliff.

It's odd the family has so radically changed its opinion. We asked if there was life insurance on Mindy -- that could be relevant because there are typically suicide exclusions -- but they said they didn't know.

Sophie Turner punted the "Jackass" star right between his field goal posts with extremely painful results during an event for a big new movie they're both in called "Barely Lethal."

The flick is about a teenage special ops agent who fakes her own death, then enrolls in high school.

Stephen Collins was crying out for help ... begging to be locked up for child molestation, if you believe his wife, who castigated him for his latest movie role -- a pedophile priest.

Collins starred in "Penance," playing a priest who is confronted by one of his molestation victims. The short film was released in March.

When Collins' wife, Faye Grant, found out about the film, she went nuclear. Remember, this was a year AFTER Collins confessed to her he had molested and/or exposed himself to three girls.

Two weeks after the movie was released, Grant sent Collins an email -- obtained by TMZ -- in which she said, "You sexually molested a child using your role as a minister to engender trust. YOU ARE BEGGING TO BE INCARCERATED, STEPHEN."

It's an interesting email. As TMZ first reported, Grant has accused Collins of using his role on "7th Heaven" to get close to the parents of a child he later molested. The show ran from 1996-2007, which would make the alleged incident much closer in time to the present than the other 3. It appears from the email Grant is referring to this incident.

It's clear from the subject line Grant is incredulous: "IS THIS SOME SORT OF JOKE?"

The producer/director of "Penance," Jeff Wolfe, tells TMZ ... he had no idea about Collins' dark past when he cast him in the role. Wolfe says after he saw our stories he decided to donate all proceeds from the flick to the James Storehouse Foundation, which helps abused children.

3:45 PM PT -- Misty's uncle says they've confirmed it's her body.

The "August: Osage County" star who's been missing since last week may have been found dead ... according to family members.

Misty Upham's family tells TMZ ... one of their search teams found a body in a ravine about an hour ago. They have not been able to reach the body yet because of the steep terrain ... but searchers believe it looks like Misty.

We're told the search team included family, friends and other members of the Native American community around Auburn, WA. They contacted police ... who are now sending officers to help retrieve the body.

As we reported ... Misty's Dad feared she had committed suicide when she went missing after going to visit friends. He says she'd recently changed the meds she was taking to control erratic behavior.

Mickey Rourke played a fake fighter in "The Wrestler" -- but he was scrappin' FOR REAL this week during a hardcore MMA training session in L.A. with Jay Glazer.

The "NFL on Fox" star hit the mats with Rourke at his "Unbreakable Performance" MMA gym -- the place he co-owns with retired NFL star Brian Urlacher.

Glazer says Rourke's been "training his ass off" ... though it's unclear if he's doing it for fun -- or if he plans to actually compete ... which is unlikely since he's 62-years-old.

FYI -- Rourke is no stranger to combat sports ... he famously boxed back in the '90s after he had already established himself as a Hollywood star.

Marlon Wayans finally weighed in on the Snoop Dogg-Iggy Azalea battle -- which he got dragged into -- and his take is HYSTERICAL!

If you missed it, before yesterday's truce ... Snoop posted a side-by-side of Iggy and Marlon's "White Chicks" character.

But last night outside Cecconi's in WeHo ... Marlon called out Snoop, saying ... "I don't think it's a fair comparison. She's way more f**kable than I am." Trust us ... you MUST see his delivery, plus he breaks down the shape of Iggy's ass. It's like a geometry class, if geometry were hilarious.

Marlon also explains why Iggy's Lakers BF Nick Young should be pissed about the "White Chicks" comparison. Man's got a point.

Don't judge Drew Brees by his Fantasy numbers -- he's still "ONE OF THE GREATEST QUARTERBACKS IN THE WORLD" ... so says Brad Pitt.

The Sexiest Man Alive (1995, 2000) was leaving an event in Washington D.C. last night when we asked if he had any advice for the New Orleans Saints QB -- who hasn't exactly been posting those legendary Fantasy stats we're used to.

That's when Pitt -- a HUUUGE Saints fan -- set our TMZ Sports photog straight with a strong defense of the former Super Bowl champ.

Pitt and Brees happen to be friends -- earlier this year, they were spotted throwing a football around with Matthew McConaughey from the balconies of their expensive Bourbon Street pads.

But the bottom line, if you're even THINKING about benching Brees on your Fantasy team this weekend -- as one ESPN article suggests -- you might wanna consider Brad's advice first.

Elizabeth Pena -- who starred in a number of TV shows and films including "La Bamba" and "Rush Hour" ... has died. She was 55.

Pena died Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Pena -- whose Hollywood career spanned almost 40 years -- most recently had a recurring role on "Modern Family" as the mother to Sofia Vergara's character ... and recently completed work on the TV series "Matador."

She also starred in her own short-lived sitcom "I Married Dora" in 1987-88 ... and provided voice-overs for cartoons including "American Dad!" and "The Incredibles."

Well, this is awkward ... Matt Barnes cracking a marriage joke directed at his wife just weeks before they split up -- but it was all scripted for a movie scene they were doing together ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.

Just a few months ago, Matt and Gloria Govan got together to film a cameo in the upcoming movie "Chocolate City" ... all about the life of a black male exotic dancer.

During the scene, Matt plays a guy who's at a female strip club with his buddies ... and Gloria plays their sassy hot waitress.

The two sides exchange quips -- and Matt eventually fires off a barb at Gloria ... saying, "With that attitude you ain't never getting married."

Yeesh.

As we previously reported, Matt and Gloria separated a short time later ... and now it seems their headed for divorce.

"Jurassic World" is about to do battle with "Iron Man" ... and the victor gets a 13-year-old kid.

Ty Simkins is a hot pint-sized commodity in Hollywood. He starred alongside Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 3" ... and he's also set to star in the upcoming dino flick, "Jurassic World."

Ty's "Jurassic" paycheck would dino-soar him to new heights ... $200K base -- according to his contract which was filed with the court. He'll make another $125K if the flick kills. And the sequels would score him $400K minimum for #2 and double that for #3.

Here's the problem .... Marvel -- which produces "Iron Man" -- has locked the kid up for a long time. It has first dibs on 3 sequels ... which could put Ty way past Bar Mitzvah age before he could do "Jurassic."

Nobody's pulling for Denzel Washington's new action flick more than his young co-star Chloë Grace Moretz -- because she's on the verge of a six-figure haul that will make her one of the highest paid teens in Hollywood.

17-year-old Chloë -- who also starred in the "Kick-Ass" movies -- already took home a $400,000 payday for "The Equalizer" ... but according to the her contract she stands to make a ton more if the movie achieves a couple of magic box office numbers.

Since Chloë is a minor her deal has to be filed with the courts -- and TMZ obtained a copy ... which shows she'll get another $150,000 if the movie earns $100 million in the U.S. and Canada. Girl's got a shot -- after 2 weeks it's at $64 million domestically.

Jennifer Lopez is all about her ex-boyfriends this week ... first she hung out with Diddy at a nightclub -- then she checked out her ex-fiance Ben Affleck's hit movie, and offered some strange proof.

Lopez went to see "Gone Girl" Saturday night ... which we know because she posted a pic of her feet up in the theater with the caption, "#GONEGIRL." Weird, but maybe her booty isn't the only thing fans dig.

Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow reunited with a bunch of their "Pitch Perfect" costars Friday in New Orleans ... all for a pretty awesome "Moulin Rouge" themed wedding party.

Anna and Brittany hung out at Lucky Pierre's for their friend Courtney Barnes' pre-wedding bash with Kelley Jakle and CJ Perry -- more famously known as WWE Diva Lana -- as well as a few Trebles.

We're told the group rented out the Bourbon Street joint for $7K and dined on gumbo.

Unclear if they did any mermaid dancing.

"August: Osage County" actress Misty Upham has been reported missing in Washington ... and her family fears she may be suicidal.

The actress was last seen walking by herself from an apartment Sunday near Auburn ... and her dad says Misty told them she was going to visit friends.

Her dad told the Hollywood Reporter Misty had been dealing with erratic behavior and recently changed her meds. He says when they last spoke Upham told her parents they didn't need to worry about her anymore.

That's when he got nervous and contacted police ... he was worried she might kill herself.

It's like a modern day Ethel Merman and Ray Middleton ... 'cause anything Shaq can do, Grant Hill thinks he can do better -- including movies!

The former NBA star -- who now appears in an AT&T commercial -- was out at Mr. Chow Wednesday night when we asked if he would ever consider taking his talents from TV to the big screen.

"If Shaq can do it, I can do it," Hill told us.

Of course, Grant's gonna need to move quick if he wants to catch up with The Big Fella ... 'cause Shaq's appeared in 16 flicks in his movie career!!!

Keenan Wayans and his little bro Shawn Wayans owe a bundle of cash to an L.A. law firm -- according to a new lawsuit -- but relax ... they shouldn't have to make a "White Chicks" sequel to pay it off.

According to court docs -- obtained by TMZ -- the Wayans brothers stiffed the firm for more than $63K in legal services they received back in 2008-09.

The firm -- S & E Azriliant -- claims Keenan owes $21,825 ... and Shawn owes $22K. Additionally, they owe another $20,200 together. Grand total -- $63,485, PLUS interest.

The really sad part -- around the time Keenan and Shawn ran up the legal bill, they made the movie "Dance Flick." Classic lose-lose.
