"12 Years a Slave" may have shamelessly ripped off "Desperate Housewives" ... if you believe a new lawsuit.

Famed composer Hans Zimmer is the culprit ... so claims the guy who composed the song for that Housewives show.

Richard Friedman claims in 2004 he composed "To Our Fallen," which appeared on the ABC show. He says in his lawsuit his song was enhanced in Zimmer's studio. Friedman claims it's no coincidence that in 2013 Zimmer's signature song in "12 Years" was eerily similar to his tune.

The allegation is simple ... Zimmer and company had access to his song and ripped him off.

Friedman is suing Zimmer, Fox, Sony and Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment ... and he wants a piece of the pie.

We reached out to Zimmer's people ... so far no comment.

Blake Shelton I Don't Have to See 'American Sniper' To Blast Celebs Attacking It

Published | Updated

Blake Shelton has no problem defending "American Sniper" and ripping celebs who trash it, even though he hasn't even seen the movie!

Shelton was leaving 30 Rock (probably after his "Saturday Night Live" rehearsal) when he told us ... he was defending the military, not the movie itself, when he tweeted, "Sickens me to see celebrities or anybody slam the very people who protect their right to talk sh*t.. #truecowards"

Shelton admitted this week he might have been drunk tweeting ... but tells us he does plan to see the movie soon.

Kid Rock also went on the attack against Seth Rogen and Michael Moore, for their 'Sniper' criticisms -- writing on his website, "F*** you Michael Moore, you’re a piece of s*** and your uncle would be ashamed of you. Seth Rogen, your uncle probably molested you. I hope both of you catch a fist to the face soon."

Unclear if Kid was drinking, but chances are ...

George Lucas Don't Blame Me If the New 'Star Wars' Sucks ... It Wasn't My Idea!

Published | Updated

Disney thinks the Force is no longer strong with George Lucas ... because the legendary filmmaker says all his ideas for the new "Star Wars" film were tossed out the nearest airlock.

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Lucas was asked if he had come up with any ideas for "Episode VII" before he sold LucasFilm to Disney back in 2012. He told the interviewer, "The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn't really want to do those. So they made up their own. So it's not the ones that I originally wrote."

Now while Lucas' writing credits are spectacular -- the first three "Star Wars" movies and the first three "Indiana Jones" movies, to name a few -- the last three "Star Wars" films and the final "Indiana Jones" movie were all ... well, you know.

They sucked.

Perhaps this is for the best, George.
