The brutal moment happened during his Esquire sit-down with 'Malcolm in the Middle' costar Frankie Muniz ... when Muniz got candid about a major career fork in the road. He revealed he was locked in to star in “Holes” before “Agent Cody Banks” got the green light -- forcing him to choose.

“I immediately picked Agent Cody Banks,” Muniz said … admitting people around him were pushing him toward “Holes” because it was “a little more dramatic.”

Lactose lines and zero regrets -- that’s how Lena Dunham is spilling the tea on one of the most chaotic "Girls" scenes.

Dunham shared the behind-the-scenes chaos this week on the "Las Culturistas" podcast with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang -- revealing the show’s infamous Season 2 “cocaine” scene with Andrew Rannells was actually powered by lactose powder … not drugs.

Watch the clip ... Dunham says the duo snorted lactose powder take after take while filming the bathroom bender ... and yeah, it was as gross as it sounds.

From TV screens to Capitol Hill ... "Summer House" alum Luke Gulbranson has announced his campaign for Congress in Minnesota’s 8th District.

The former reality star announced his candidacy Wednesday morning, and will run his campaign on focused on lowering costs, protecting essential programs, and expanding access to affordable healthcare.

Luke says he relates to the everyday Minnesotan, growing up in a working-class family that sometimes experienced financial hardship -- including reliance on food assistance and Medicaid.

He explains ... "I know what it’s like to worry about putting food on the table or paying the electric bill. I’ve lived the challenges so many families in this district are facing right now. I’m running for Congress to make sure no one is forgotten and to fight for an economy and healthcare system that actually works for us."

It's been a month since news broke that the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot was canned over at Disney ... and fans are still making it clear they're pissed.

Here's the deal ... Disney pulled the plug on the Sarah Michelle Gellar project, which was slated to debut on Hulu as a soft reboot of the popular '90s sci-fi/horror series. We hear SMG was blindsided by the rug pull ... and fans were livid.

And it seems fans are still pretty heated ... because a group of about 20 people protested at Hulu's Santa Monica office on Tuesday -- a month to the day of the reboot's cancellation -- to demand their vampire series return from the dead. It also happens to be SMG's birthday, which fans adopted as International Buffy Day.

The "Tomb Raider" series has been shut down for a couple of weeks after star Sophie Turner suffered an injury ... but TMZ has learned Lara Croft is back!

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... production on the highly anticipated Amazon series has resumed after a pause due to the actress getting injured. We hear the pause will not impact the production schedule.

As we previously reported ... Sophie suffered an undisclosed injury -- and she was sidelined for a couple of weeks. We hear that although ST is doing several of her own stunts for the series, she was not hurt while on the clock.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the decision ultimately comes down to strategy -- we're told Netflix wants to focus on just one real estate franchise, and that crown belongs to "Selling Sunset."

The New York-based series -- which premiered in January 2025 as part of the growing "Selling Sunset" universe -- followed a group of elite agents navigating the ultra-competitive luxury market while working under the Douglas Elliman banner.
