Rob Gronkowski is apparently a wrestler now during the off-season ... he just kicked some ass in the ring at WrestleMania 33.

The Pats star was in the crowd Sunday watching his pal Mojo Rawley get pummeled by Jinder Mahal during the 4th annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal ... and then decided to step in when Jinder got in his own face.

What happens next is nothing short of epic, and is sure to go down in WWE (and probably NFL) history.

WWE star Baron Corbin would send Conor McGregor's ass to the hospital if the beefing stars actually fought ... according to WWE legend Taz.

WWE superstar Baron Corbin hasn't forgotten all of the trash Conor McGregor talked about wrestlers ... and says he wants a shot at the UFC star in the hopes of teaching him a very violent lesson.

Corbin -- who's wrestling for the WWE intercontinental belt at WrestleMania 33 this weekend -- appeared on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas when he was asked about Conor vs. Floyd.

After siding with Mayweather, Corbin brought up the comments McGregor made back in August ... when he said most WWE guys are "messed up p**sies" who couldn't hold their own in a real fight.

Corbin -- a former boxer and NFL lineman  --- clearly took the comments personally, saying, "I would like to slam him on his head a few times."

A fan died in the stands of a live WWE event Saturday night.

It happened at a house show in Portland, Maine where an elderly man reportedly collapsed out of his seat in the corner stands as the 2nd match of the event began.

EMTs moved the man to the nearest flat area and proceeded to conduct CPR for about 20 minutes -- before taking him out on a stretcher to a local hospital. During that time, EMT's performed CPR and 2 matches went down.

The Undertaker sure as hell ain't too old for WrestleMania ... so says his opponent, Roman Reigns, who tells TMZ Sports "The Deadman" could go til he's 80!!

The two are set to get it on at WrestleMania 33 in April -- but some people are saying Father Time is catching up with the 52-year-old icon.

But not Reigns ... in fact, Roman says he's training his ass off for the match -- since he considers Undertaker the "greatest WrestleMania performer of all time."

There's more ... Roman also reveals how much weight he's pushing on the bench press these days.

Miesha Tate would absolutely KICK ASS in the WWE, that's according to wresting legend Diamond Dallas Page, who says Tate has everything it takes to be a star in the squared circle.

Tate recently told Fox Sports she'd "love" to make an appearance in the WWE, and when we got DDP out at LAX and asked him about the idea, the guy seriously couldn't stop gushing.

How much does a co-sign from DDP mean? The guy is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame later this year, having been one of the single greatest wrestlers of his generation.

So yeah, start working on your finishing move Miesha.

There could be a Big Red Mayor in Tennessee next year ... 'cause WWE legend Kane is running for office!!

The 7-foot, 323-pound superstar is prepping to chokeslam the political game in his local Knox County, according to WCYB in Tennessee.

Kane -- AKA Glenn Jacobs -- is a Republican and filed paperwork earlier this month, kick-starting the campaign process. The election won't take place until May 2018.

As a member of The Authority, Kane was voted Most Hated Wrestler of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2013.

WWE legend Jim Ross' wife, Jan Ross, has died at 55 years old ... days after sustaining a catastrophic brain injury in an accident.

Ross -- who married Jim in 1993 -- was riding her Vespa home from the gym Monday night in Oklahoma when she was struck from behind by a vehicle. She was not wearing a helmet. Ross sustained a serious brain injury and multiple skull fractures.

Jim announced his wife's death on Twitter Wednesday night, saying ... "A priest gave my wife Jan her last rites tonight. My little angel is gone."

Gronk took it upon himself to get Mojo rising for "WrestleMania 33" next Sunday ... screaming in his face and delivering some chest slaps.

Gronk wrote ... "He's going to win that Battle Royal for sure!! I've never seen a crazier dude in my life! The man doesn't sleep! He stays hyped!!"

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross says his wife is "being kept alive via life support equipment" after a bad car accident earlier this week ... and is now describing her brain injury as "catastrophic."

As we previously reported, Jan Ross was riding her Vespa home from the gym Monday night when she was struck from behind by another car. She was not wearing a helmet and suffered multiple skull fractures.

Jim says Jan is still hospitalized in Oklahoma and her life is in serious danger.

"We hope that the swelling of Jan's brain will subside soon as it must for her to survive," Jim explained in a blog post ... "It's that simple."

"Nonetheless my little, Italian angel who loves her Steelers and all things Pittsburgh is fighting for all's she worth to save her life."

Jim added, "I will fully admit that there has been no experience in my life that could have prepared me for this life changing week. To see one's life partner and love of one's life being kept alive via life support equipment is tragically heartbreaking."

WWE's Big Show says the whole organization is praying for Jim Ross and his family following the tragic Vespa accident that left his wife with a fractured skull.

As we reported earlier ... Ross' wife, Jan Ross, was involved in a serious auto accident while riding her Vespa ... and is now fighting for her life, hospitalized in critical condition.

We broke the news to Big Show when we got him out at LAX, and he told our guy the Ross family not only has his full support, but the support of the entire WWE.

Vince McMahon's having a rough Tuesday ... he was in a car accident less than a mile from WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT that left his Bentley banged up.

Multiple law enforcement sources confirm McMahon was driving his black Bentley when something went wrong. Another car was involved in the crash though it's unclear exactly what happened.

Vince was seen walking around after the incident. Our sources say the whole thing was a "minor accident and everyone is okay."

As for the Bentley ... Vince can afford the repairs.

8:55 AM PT -- The Norman Police Dept. tells TMZ Sports Ross was driving at 9:33 PM when she was struck from behind by a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Ross was thrown from her Vespa. Both the car and the scooter caught fire.

The driver of the Mercury was a 17-year-old male. He was not injured in the crash.

Officials say the crash is under investigation.

We spoke with Jim who tells us he's absolutely devastated. He says Jan was riding her Vespa to the gym near their home in Oklahoma when she was struck by another vehicle.

Jim says Jan was not wearing her helmet and struck her head, causing multiple skull fractures. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition where she underwent surgery.

Jim says the situation is "touch and go" at the moment. Jim says he's "hanging in there. It could be a tough day."

Ross tweeted about the situation, "My wife Jan, my little angel, was hit while riding her Vespa & has multiple skull fractures. She's in surgery now. We need a miracle."

Diamond Dallas Page is PISSED at whoever violated WWE superstar Paige by releasing private videos ... and vows to BITCH SLAP whoever's responsible.

Paige was one of the victims in another apparent mass celebrity hacking incident involving several high-profile female stars.

Paige tweeted about the horrific privacy breach last week saying, "Personal and private photos of mine were stolen and unfortunately they were shared publicly without my consent."

DDP tells TMZ Sports he's got her back 100% -- saying she's an absolute sweetheart and doesn't deserve any of this.

Lindsay Kay Hayward had one specific person in mind during her ambulance ride to the hospital after a health scare ... fellow giant Shaquille O'Neal!

We got the "My Giant Life" star and 6'9" pro wrestler Friday in Vegas after she was hospitalized last week -- for what she thought was a blood clot in her lung -- and she's got a funny way of remembering her time on the stretcher.

Good to see Shaq helped Lindsay stay positive in what could have been a serious problem. Big folks gotta stick together ... in sickness and in health.
