The Mountain Of Bev Hills $400 Million Offer Rejected By Owners That's Chump Change, Bro

1/17/2019 12:30 AM PST

There's a real estate battle brewing for the most expensive property in the history of Los Angeles, fittingly dubbed "The Mountain," because we've learned the owners of the incredible mountaintop property just laughed off a developer's $400 MILLION offer!!!

Sources familiar with the negotiations tell TMZ ... builder Scott Gillen recently submitted a $400 mil bid, but the estate's ownership group scoffed and came back with a $600 million counter!

It's interesting ... "The Mountain" is listed for $1 BILLION, but the counteroffer from ownership group Secure Capital Partners is $400 mil below the 10-figure asking price. Overvalued much?

Gillen tells us, "I saw an opportunity to expand my brand in the city, something I've wanted to do for some time. If they're smart, they'll take the offer."

We're told Gillen has grand plans to build 6 homes on the sprawling 157-acre plot of land in Bev Hills, which sits atop a mountain overlooking all of L.A. ... while the owners envision a single home being built on the 1.5 million square foot property. Regardless, the impasse is all about money.

Scott's no stranger to massive land purchases. Last year, he set a Malibu real estate record when he plunked down $50 mil on a 24-acre plot. Still, we're told "The Mountain" deal is likely going nowhere because Gillen doesn't want to budge.

We reached out to the listing agent, Aaron Kirman, who had no comment.

The good news ... if you're part of the 3 comma club, "The Mountain" could still be yours!

Breaking News

The F in NFL now stands for FASHION ... 'cause Wednesday morning, pro and college football team helmets were the hot accessories in Virgil Abloh's big runway show!

Abloh is one of the HOTTEST names in the industry -- and his Fall/Winter 2019 show at Paris Fashion Week was one of the most anticipated events!

Of course, people are talking about the unique clothing -- but the headwear is also getting some serious buzz.

From the Kansas City Chiefs to the L.A. Chargers to the University of Texas Longhorns ... model after model hit the runway looking ready for a full-speed collision!!! Some even wore dark visors!

Clemson got some love ... so did Iowa. The Colts. Even the Bengals were represented for some reason.

So ... does this mean people will start walkin' down the street lookin' like Andrew Luck? Probably not.

But hey, if fanny packs are back in style .... anything's possible.

Will Smith & Martin Lawrence The 'Bad Boys' are Back in Action ... Still Bad in Their 50s!!!

1/15/2019 9:14 AM PST

Forget the #10YearChallenge -- 'Bad Boys' Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are showing off more than 2 decades later ... in these shots from the third installment of the film franchise.

Will and Martin -- aka Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett -- got the action going Monday in Atlanta, reprising their roles as the cool, wise-cracking Miami cops for the latest sequel, "Bad Boys for Life."

As you know ... the first movie was released in 1995, "Bad Boys II" followed in 2003, and now -- 25 years later -- 'BB4L' is set to hit theaters in January 2020.

Both stars are now in their 50s, but judging by these pics -- including Lawrence with a bloody bandage on his head -- they're still fully capable of cranking it up and getting bad when the director yells action.

This probably goes without saying but, just in case ...

Breaking News

Some of biggest stars in the world -- from Adam Sandler to Jamie Foxx to Baker Mayfield -- came out to Malibu to play in a celeb softball game Sunday to raise a ton of money for a great cause.

It was all for the California Strong charity ... created by MLB stars Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun, Mike Moustakas and NFL star Jared Goff to help out people affected by the CA wildfires and the shooting at the Borderline Bar.

They called every star they knew ... and the stars came out in force to Pepperdine University to help.

Rainn Wilson, Mira Sorvino, Dennis Rodman, Brad Paisley, Charlie Sheen, Robin Thicke, Rob Riggle, Matt Leinart, Reggie Miller, Justin Turner and more turned up and balled out.

We're told the event raised a TON of money -- and helped the California Strong organization (in association with the Southeast Ventura County YMCA) cross a lifetime total of $1 MILLION in fundraising.

During the game, several checks were handed out to families affected by the fires -- and also to the Borderline Bar to help rebuild.

The crowd gave a huge ovation to the first responders.

Props to everyone involved!
