Shemar Moore may play a cop on TV ... but he needed the police in real life when a random woman showed up at his house ready to move in.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... cops were called to the house Friday around 3:30 p.m. after a woman arrived at his Los Angeles-area home with luggage in tow.

Our sources say the woman knocked on the door ... but instead of Shemar, we're told his significant other, Jesiree Dizon, opened the door and told the woman to leave.

Courtney Clenney has reached a plea deal with prosecutors in the stabbing death of her boyfriend Christian Obumseli ... and his family seems relieved it's over.

The family's attorney, Larry Handfield, confirmed Clenney, prosecutors, and the Obumseli family came to a resolution that will help them avoid a trial. The details will be made public at a sentencing hearing on August 10.

He adds, "Pleading guilty and accepting full responsibility will begin the process of bringing closure to a very tragic life changing event for the Obumseli family."

Jakob Butturff, an 8-time professional bowling champion with the PBA, has died suddenly, the association announced.

PBA Commissioner Tom Clark revealed he died "unexpectedly" Friday and remembered him as "one of the most unique players in PBA history." A cause of death was not given.

Tom's statement went on, "Fans marveled at his delivery, as he rode a wave of strikes into becoming a top player in the sport, capable of winning at any time, in any event. Jakob was kind, he was respectful, and he was a champion. He will never be forgotten."

A 17-year-old assailant opened fire inside a Maryland mall, hitting a 13-year-old boy in the leg as frightened shoppers ran for cover -- and the wild incident was caught on video.

They ordered him to pay $12.9 million in damages.

Sid Wilson is officially out as Slipknot's DJ and keyboardist ... TMZ has learned.

A source close to the band and with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... Sid was notified late Friday afternoon that he's been permanently kicked out of the band.

It's currently unclear what led to him getting the boot.
