Kanye West wants to go head-to-head with his famous sister-in-law ... diving head first into the cosmetic biz dominated by Kylie Jenner.

Kanye's filed legal docs declaring his intention to produce DONDA brand makeup, perfumes, lotions and other cosmetics. Donda, of course, is Kanye's beloved mom who passed away in 2007.

He'll be up against some stiff family competition. Kylie's cosmetics sell out within minutes ... some resell on eBay for 10 times the retail value.

Kanye's application to snag the DONDA cosmetics line is currently being processed but our sources say at this time he's only filed the paperwork in case something develops.

He's made it clear ... Kanye wants to be the new Martha Stewart, creating a lifestyle brand that includes credit cards, cars, wallpaper screens, furnishings, video games, amusement parks, hotels, fitness centers and healthy fast food.

So which one's gonna give Kim lip?

Fabolous has put his money where his mouth is by dropping $40k to fix his teeth, and the before and after pics show it was worth every penny.

Loso has rapped about the chip in his front tooth on 2001's “Right Now & Later On," and hinted he'd get it fixed, and that's just part of his dental woes.

One of Kylie Jenner's eye kits has become a real pain for customers who've filed complaints about chemical-induced headaches.

At least 15 people filed complaints within the past 2 weeks with the Better Business Bureau, claiming they smelled "chemicals and glue" when opening Kylie's Royal Peach Eyeshadow Palette.

Customers described the odor as "spray paint" or "paint thinner," and one said it stunk so bad she put the whole package outside her house. There's also at least one complaint of the makeup causing "a horrible headache."

The BBB tells us Kylie Cosmetics launched an investigation immediately and found an adhesive in the packaging was causing the smell. Kylie's company insists it's safe to use ... according to the BBB.

Kendall Jenner gave the audience a surprise with a turn at a New York Fashion Week show.

Kendall was strutting the runway for La Perla along with Jourdan Dunn, Stella Maxwell and Naomi Campbell, and stole the show in her sheer gown ... with a little help from her ass.

She added, "No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you."

Kylie Jenner's using her considerable social media capital to settle a potential legal war with the makeup artist who claimed KJ stole her photos to promote her brand.

We broke the story ... Vlada Haggerty threatened to take action against Kylie for ripping off her work. Vlada's lawyer claimed Kylie Cosmetics had a "history of taking Haggerty's original dripping lip art and passing it off as Kylie's."

The threat was enough for Kylie's legal team to swoop in, resolve the matter and now Vlada's getting something way more valuable than cash. Kylie's started plugging Vlada's signature makeup looks on her Instagram page. 84 million pairs of eyes checking out her work!

Kylie's camp had no comment.

Kim Zolciak is coming to daughter Brielle Biermann's defense denying the 19-year-old has ever had butt implants, despite what the Internet thinks.

Brielle posted a racy pic of her rump on Snapchat and many jumped to the conclusion that it was fake since she has posted video of her lip injections in the past.

However, Kim tells TMZ the proof Brielle's got natural cakes is in the rest of her body ... there isn't an ounce of fat to use for butt implants. Kim says Brielle's big ass comes from the gym -- she works out a ton.

Michael Costello, fashion designer to the stars, is slimming down to comply with what he calls the industry standard -- "skinny bitch" -- and he's using lasers to do it.

Michael finished 4th on Season 8 of "Project Runway" and told us about the moment at a friend's wedding when he knew it was time to fight the fat. One button can change a lot.

He went to Dr. Rollins at Elite Body Sculpture in Bev Hills on Friday to get Airsculpt Laser Liposculpture on his stomach and waist. The procedure uses lasers to soften up your fat, then they vacuum it out. Michael says he dropped 2 sizes instantly.

In a lawsuit the women filed, they say the supposed exfoliating facial scrub feels like sandpaper to the skin, with similar results. To back up their claim, they say dermatology research warns walnut shells to the face can cause inflammation leading to breakouts, and accelerated aging.

Their main beef is the St. Ives product says it's "dermatologist tested" -- which is misleading, they say, because it is tested ... but NOT recommended.

They've filed a class action suit against parent company, Unilever, for more than $5 million.

It's Mariah Carey's world these days -- and MAC is just living in it.

Our cosmetics sources say Mariah's new makeup line is all her doing ... right down to the product names and how they're marketed at MAC stores.

We're told she came up with what each shade of lipstick or mascara would be called, and settled with names like Dahhlinggg, MCizzle and So Dramatique.

She even created an instruction manual of sorts for everyone peddling her products at MAC stores.

For the record, we're told MAC was happy to oblige on every front ... because, well, Mariah gets what Mariah wants.

The lawyers representing women who claim a L'Oréal hair relaxer burned their head aren't just suing -- now they're demanding an urgent recall of the product.

TMZ broke the story ... L'Oréal was sued for selling a celebrity-backed product called SoftSheen-Carson Optimum Amla Legend No-Mix, No-Lye Relaxer -- which the plaintiffs say singed their scalp and made them go bald.

L'Oréal fired back in docs, saying its packaging warns this very danger, and clearly instructs consumers on how to use it safely.

Ben Meiselas and Mark Geragos, who rep the alleged victims, say that's a load of BS ... and add L'Oréal is admitting the product has dangerous chemicals, despite advertising it "protects the scalp and skin."

Geragos' firm says it's downright absurd to blame the women harmed by the product, and they won't relax until the relaxer is completely pulled from the shelves.

Britney Spears celebrated her 35th birthday with roughly 20 thousand people Friday night, and revamped an old 'do for the occasion.

Kylie Jenner specializes in makeup, so she may want to seriously make up with one woman who's threatening to drop the legal hammer on her for ripping off her photos to promote Kylie's cosmetics line.

A woman named Vlada Haggerty says her Instagram is littered with photos of women striking various poses which accentuate their lips. The pics are striking ... pale women with dark lips and stuff like that.

Vlada and her professional photog claim Kylie has jacked the style of the photos to hawk her wares, and they're threatening a lawsuit. They say the pics are dead ringers for theirs.

Here's the problemo ... there's a whole legal thing that ideas are not legally protected -- just the images -- and Kylie did her own version that may be similar, but as Freud said, "close, but no cigar."

We reached out to Kylie's camp for comment ... so far, no word back.
