The 23-year-old U.S. airman 1st class is reportedly in stable condition.

NFL's Aldon Smith Pleads Not Guilty In DUI Hit & Run

Published | Updated

Oakland Raiders superstar Aldon Smith is fighting the charges in his DUI case -- pleading not guilty to allegations he smashed his SUV door into another car and then drunkenly drove from the scene.

Aldon was arrested on August 6th -- after cops say he tried to get out of his car in a lot about a mile from Levi's Stadium when he swung the door open into the car next to him, causing roughly $500 in damage.

Cops say Smith got back in his car and left ... only to return to the scene on foot, where cops were waiting. Aldon then bombed a sobriety test and was arrested for DUI, hit and run and vandalism.

If convicted, Smith -- who has been arrested for DUI twice -- faces up to 2-and-a-half years behind bars.

He's due back in court in November.

UCLA's Myles Jack Drops Out of UCLA ... Declares for NFL Draft

School's out for UCLA superstar linebacker Myles Jack -- because the college football star just announced he's dropping out of college and will enter the NFL draft.

It's interesting timing for Jack -- who just suffered a season-ending knee injury last month -- since college football season is still underway.

20-year-old Jack -- a junior who was one of the most highly touted players in the country before the season began -- suffered a torn meniscus during practice on September 23.

Jack doesn't seem to be getting support from his head coach Jim Mora ... who told the media, "I think it's very risky to do this. There's a lot of speculation to ... where he fits."

Mora -- a former NFL head coach -- added, "I've been in 25 Draft rooms. I've never seen a guy taken off [two games of junior tape]."

Rihanna I Thought I Could Change Chris Brown After the Beating

Published | Updated

Rihanna now says she gave Chris Brown a second chance after he beat her up because she felt she was just one of those people "built to handle s*** like this."

Rihanna spoke to Vanity Fair about her reasoning for taking Chris Brown back and making the decision to lift the restraining order after the brutal beating. You may recall, she went vacationing with Chris 3 weeks after the attack.

Rihanna's logic for going back ... "Maybe I'm the person who's almost the guardian angel to this person, to be there when they're not strong enough, when they're not understanding the world, when they just need someone to encourage them in a positive way and say the right thing."

She went on, saying she thought she could change Brown, "A hundred percent. I was very protective of him. I felt that people didn't understand him."

And she had an interesting take on how she actually became Brown's "enemy," saying, "You want the best for them, but if you remind them of their failures, or if you remind them of bad moments in their life, or even if you say I'm willing to put up with something, they think less of you."

Tupac Shakur 'Thug Life Is Dead' Jailhouse Letter Up for Sale for $225k

Published | Updated

Tupac Shakur's declared "Thug Life" was dead to him in an emotional letter that included a road map for his "homiez" to make it out of the hood -- and that letter is now up for sale.

Tupac's 5 page correspondence to a Death Row employee was written in 1995 while he was in jail for rape. The letter includes some deep thoughts about being ready to let someone else rep the thug life -- which he famously tatted on his torso.

He wrote, "U must play the game, not let the game play u. A regular Playa plays women, a Boss Playa plays life. A Boss Playa is a thinker, a leader, a builder, a moneymaker, a souljah, a teacher and most of all, a Man! "

Tupac also said, "I want all my homiez to know there is another level."

The letter is being sold by a memorabilia site called Moments in Time, and we're told the $225,000 price is fixed. First come, first serve!
