Turns out Chris Brown's legal team was wrong -- he never got airborne in Manila -- he was turned around literally as his plane was on the runway, because he allegedly tried skipping out on a concert. Think of "Argo," except the plane doesn't make it out.

The dispute has been brewing for months. Chris was supposed to perform in Manila for New Year's Eve but was a no show. The promoter says Chris got his million dollar payment and he's been demanding a refund ever since.

Well, Chris went back to Manila for another concert this week, but when he tried to leave the government blocked the flight after the promoter convinced officials what Chris did amounted to theft.

So he's now stuck in Manila, sitting in a hotel room and Instagramming for help from Obama.

Don't hold your breath, Chris.

10:40 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Ruby was not the one who called police and it didn't happen at her home. We're told a man was trying to break into her neighbor's house and was arrested.

Ruby Rose got a terrifying taste of L.A. -- she spotted an armed man in her backyard as police swarmed her house ... searching for the man.

Ruby shot video of the panic -- cop cars on the street and helicopters above her house. She narrated the clip, saying ... "Policemen ... looking for a f**king gunman."

She also live tweeted the incident throughout the search ... "This is petrifying. Helicopters, police, dogs ... and a crazy person"

Ruby says the gunman was eventually arrested ... and she deleted all her tweets about the incident.

It's unclear if the suspect was trying to get into her house ... or just running through the neighborhood. Either way ... scary night for the "Orange is the New Black" star.

Dallas Mavericks point guard Raymond Felton knocked off 500 hours of community service to put an end to his odd gun case that seemed to start with a bitter divorce.

Felton pled guilty last year to a felony gun charge after his estranged wife turned in his gun to NYPD. The semi-automatic weapon had an illegal 20-round extended magazine, so ... he was screwed.

Felton's lawyer went into a Manhattan court Wednesday morning to show proof the ex-Knick completed his community service hours, and also paid a $5,000 fine.

Chris Brown is off the hook with a Philippines concert promoter, but now his fans in Hong Kong may end up having to pay the price.

Brown's legal team tells TMZ ... he sorted out the issues in the Philippines that got him held up at the airport. We're told the problem was really between 2 separate promoters, and Chris was caught in the middle. Bottom line ... he's free to leave the country.

But in true Chris fashion, he's got another problem now -- getting to his next show. His Hong Kong gig is supposed to be going off NOW, but we're told Chris is still in the air.

He's still got a shot at making it, if the fans stick around. Stay tuned ...

8:50 AM PT -- Chad's on it. He says he's dispatched his lawyer to pay the $2k bond, so he doesn't get locked up.

Chad Johnson pissed off a judge in South Florida, and now there's a warrant out for his arrest ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The warrant was issued about a month ago ... when Chad skipped his arraignment in Pembroke Pines, FL for driving on a suspended license. The suspended Montreal Alouettes receiver was cited back in May for the offense.

It sounds bad, but truth is ... Chad can clear up the warrant by getting his ass to court STAT, and paying a $2,000 bond. He'll still have to deal with the suspended license though.

Sitcom legend Jimmie "JJ" Walker is shocked by the outrage over Bill Cosby ... because he thought it was common knowledge Cos was nailing women on the side.

The ex "Good Times" star was out in L.A. when a photog asked about the Cosby scandal. Walker admits he was surprised to hear Cosby used Quaaludes and other drugs on women, but claims he witnessed Cosby hooking up all the time.

Walker, who's worked with Cosby on a movie and on the comedy circuit ... said, "I actually thought everybody KNEW about all these women."

As for Cosby bouncing back from the controversy -- Walker's got an opinion, and it ain't "Dyn-o-mite!"

Justin Bieber can travel to Argentina without getting hooked up by cops, because we've learned he's off Interpol's official bad guy list.

An Argentinian court has notified Interpol Argentina to withdraw an outstanding arrest warrant against Bieber and erase it from the system.

As TMZ previously reported, a photog claimed Bieber ordered his bodyguards to attack him back in 2013. Bieber was ordered to appear for questioning but was a no show and that's when the warrant was issued.

Bieber had been effectively blocked from Argentina, for fear he'd get arrested.

50 Cent ... is all boned up on debt -- he just completed a court-ordered class, and got a sweet deal on it too.

As part of his bankruptcy case, 50 was required to take a Debtor Education course ... which we're told he took online. Understandably, they don't charge students a helluva lot -- Fiddy laid out $15 for it.

50 completed the educational portion of the case. Next up for him ... the actual debt repayment plan. That one's not so cheap.

Tennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter fights like a bitch ... sucker punching a man outside a Virginia bar in a ferocious attack ... this according to prosecutors.

Hunter just appeared in court in Virginia Beach ... where his mother was inside the courtroom crying ... as Justin faced charges he assaulted a man at Sandbar Raw Bar on July 3rd.

Prosecutors say Hunter and his friends approached another group of guys they didn't know and began arguing ... and at some point during the argument, Hunter began throwing punches.

The victim, prosecutors say, fell to the ground ... and Hunter and his pals continued to beat and kick the man.

Officials say the man eventually got up and left the bar -- and was outside spitting up blood -- when Hunter got out of a Range Rover and sucker punched him while he was hunched over.

The victim claims he was hospitalized for 2 days -- with a broken jaw, cracked tooth ... and also had a tooth knocked out.

50 Cent just took a shot at Forbes -- the mag says he's worth $155 million, but Fiddy says it's really just a measly $4.375 million.

50 was in court Tuesday to give testimony about his finances during a hearing to determine how much he'll have to pay in punitive damages to Rick Ross' baby mama. So, It clearly suits him to downplay his riches, and 50 claimed to be clueless about some of his fortune.

The rap mogul says he made about $100k for his recent appearance in "Southpaw," but didn't know much about his deals with Disney and Reebok -- and even admitted he's never actually been inside a Reebok store.

Iggy Azalea got busted for banging an unsafe left turn in Bev Hills, yet managed to wiggle her way out of the ticket ... and didn't even have to play the "don't you know who I am" card.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Iggy got pulled over Monday afternoon for unsafe driving -- but guess it was her lucky day.

We're told the officer let her off with a warning ... mostly because she was cool and understood she'd screwed up. Best of all, he never knew she was a famous pop rapper.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter was arrested in Virginia today ... after allegedly beating up someone in a crazy bar fight earlier this month.

Cops say Hunter was involved in a brawl at the Sandbar Raw Bar in Virginia Beach on July 3rd -- where a victim was transported to a hospital to treat the injuries.

Hunter surrendered to authorities on Monday and was charged with felonious assault. He's being held at Virginia Beach City Jail.

The 24-year-old is set to be arraigned tomorrow.

"Gypsy Sisters" star Mellie Stanley got into an argument with her husband that got so out of control ... he allegedly killed her dog.

Cops went to their home to check out reports of a fight on July 10 between Stanley and Randall Scott Vuncannon -- and according to docs, they found her "beat up in the street." She told officers they'd been arguing over the rent when he "went crazy, picked up the dog and slung her across the kitchen as hard as he could."

They went inside and found the small white dog dead in the living room. Vuncannon was arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty.

Sources close to production tell TMZ the show was not shooting when this went down. We're told Vuncannon is not under contract with TLC ... but there are no plans to feature him in the future.

Going to battle over Caitlyn Jenner could get transgender reporter Zoey Tur arrested -- a guest on Dr. Drew's show has filed a police report against Tur for getting handsy during a debate.

The heated convo went down Thursday on “Dr. Drew” ... Ben Shapiro is accusing Tur of threatening him on the show.

If you missed it ... Tur said if Shaprio didn't get his pronouns in order he'd be taken home in an ambulance, while putting her hand around the back of Shapiro's neck.

Shapiro went to LAPD on Sunday to file a criminal complaint.

Several of Chris Brown's close friends were in on the home invasion robbery ... at least that's what Chris believes and we've learned cops have the same view.

Law enforcement sources as well as sources connected with Chris tell us, they believe the 4 guys who broke into his home Wednesday morning were not just casual friends ... they were tight with him.

As we reported, cops believe a club promoter was also involved ... someone who knew Chris just got $50k in cash for an appearance and that the money was in his home safe.

And there's more. We've learned cops believe the Bloods may be involved as well. In fact, we're told a member of LAPD's Gang Unit was assigned the case.

Paz De La Huerta claims an unscrupulous movie director and an ambulance chaser ruined her career ... a career she claims is worth $55 million, which is what she's gunning for in a new lawsuit.

It's a pretty amazing story. Paz starred in what many consider the worst movie of all time -- "Nurse 3D." She played a nurse hell-bent on murdering cheating, scummy men.

Now here's the problem that triggered the lawsuit. Paz claims she was shooting a scene where an ambulance was supposed to speed by, but it ended up clipping her. Paz says she suffered a spinal fracture and told movie execs she was going to file a worker's comp claim.

That's all the director needed to hear. According to Paz, he decided she was a pain in the ass so he had a lousy actress dub her voice in the ambulance scene and other scenes as well.

The movie tanked, bringing in a grand total of $5k opening weekend. Critics panned the flick, pointing to Paz's monotone performance.

So she says her career is cooked, and since she was making around $2 million a year, she believes that would total $55 million, plus punitive damages.

And that's not all. She wants the judge to order the director to re-dub the voice in the movie with hers. Bad idea ... it could become another "Avatar" and she could lose out on that $55 mil.
