Nick Young definitely has a type ... hot musicians ... 'cause his new blonde date is an R&B singer who's done tracks with Meek Mill and Snoop.

Her name is Paloma Ford -- and she can sing. She also looks damn good in a bikini.

Paloma and Nick hit up Mastro's in Bev Hills together on Thursday night -- but sources tell us it was just a date ... they're not exclusive or anything like that.

Good news ... we're told the date went well.

Now that the fat lady has sung, people who were around Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are talking about their relationship or lack thereof, and a lot comes down to timing.

You'll recall Taylor and Tom were first seen together at the Met Gala in early May, right before she broke up with Calvin Harris. There was hardly a breath between her breakup with Calvin and a major public display of affection between Taylor and Tom.

It may not be coincidence that Taylor and Tom were public about their relationship as Calvin's camp was spinning stories that she cheated on him. Some people familiar with the situation say Taylor's brand is so strong and clear ... it's better to make it appear her new relationship was serious rather than just a fling.

Something happened in June that was very un-Taylor-like. A photo agency got a pic that sure looked staged ... a pic on her Rhode Island estate showing Taylor and Tom kissing.

Taylor and Tom haven't been seen together since July 27. There was a lot of talk they had broken up but no one from Taylor or Tom's camp was talking for more than a month. Finally, Tuesday, the day after Labor Day and what people call the official end of summer, Taylor's camp leaked the breakup.

So the question ... how much of this was real, and how much was just image?

Drake's dad doesn't think anything's changed between his son and Rihanna ... and tells us everyone should slow down on any marriage talk.

We got Dennis Graham at Bootsy Bellows on the Sunset Strip -- surrounded by a flock of chicks, naturally -- and he shot down the prevailing thought that Drizzy's "settling down" with RiRi.

Sources say the shark tat symbolizes Drake and RiRi's aquarium date earlier this month, where Aubrey took his new girl to see some fishies in Toronto. He bought her a stuffed shark doll that night, and now she's paying him back by showing some permanent love.

We're told the tat was done by celeb tattoo artist Keith "Bang Bang" McCurdy and our source says Drake got some ink as well.

We hear Drake is super down with her shark tat ... obviously.

Secret's out ... Demi Lovato is dating UFC superstar Luke Rockhold -- and TMZ Sports has learned it's a romance that's been blooming for a couple months.

Our sources tell us ... the 24-year-old singer hit it off with the 31-year-old former UFC middleweight champ earlier this year while training at Unbreakable gym in Los Angeles.

Tinder's idea of letting users "Super Like" each other beyond a basic right swipe is genius -- but it's also not theirs ... so claims a guy who's now suing the company.

John Mellesmoen claims in a new lawsuit he pitched the idea of the "Super Like" to Tinder's CEO, Sean Rad, back in 2014, and says Rad loved it ... promising to compensate him if the company ever used it. John says he hasn't seen a dime.

Mellesmoen claims he laid out the entire concept of the "Super Like" feature, which essentially allows users to buy someone a virtual drink instead of the just giving a "glance across the room" with a regular right swipe.
