Nick Reiner Weight Gain Set Him on Murderous Path

Nick Reiner's unravelling that resulted in the murders of his parents, Rob and Michelle Reiner, is directly connected to his weight gain ... sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ.
Our latest TMZ documentary, "The Reiner Murders: What Really Happened," follows Nick's dark history of drug abuse and mental illness. Our sources say around 2020, Nick was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, a mental illness with symptoms that include delusions, hallucinations, mania, and severe depression.
Nick was placed on meds that stabilized his condition, until a month before the murders. We're told he had complained to his doctors about his weight gain -- a common side effect from the meds -- and doctors accommodated him by changing the meds that had been keeping him stable.
We're told the new meds sent Nick into an erratic, dangerous state ... that escalated as the days went on. We're told Rob and Michele were well aware of the alarming changes in their son, but didn't know what to do. We're also told doctors did not attempt to place Nick on a temporary psych hold -- one that could have lasted 14 days -- to stabilize him.
Our sources say at the time of the murders, Nick had a complete break from reality. As we reported, the plan was to plead him not guilty by reason of insanity, which his now former lawyer, Alan Jackson, as much as said after Wednesday's hearing.
The reality is ... multiple sources tell TMZ Nick is not competent to stand trial. He's still reeling behind bars, well-aware he killed his parents but believing he is in jail because of a conspiracy against him.
"TMZ Investigates The Reiner Murders: What Really Happened" ... is now streaming on Hulu.

Devin Haney's Ex I Want To Post Our Kid On Social Media Files To Change Custody Order

Devin Haney's ex-fiancée, Leena Sayed, is seeking to modify the couple's custody order on their one-year-old child ... as she's hoping to post their child on social media without needing his approval -- TMZ Sports has learned.
According to court docs we obtained, Sayed wants to change an agreement the two parties made in connection with the custody order filed in October 2025. In it, they signed off on not posting their kid on the internet unless both sides submitted a written consensus on it.
In the latest filing, she claims Haney is exercising that term "in an unduly burdensome way" to the point where Leena is unable to post Khrome at all ... or only if the shots are taken with "some proximity to his presence."
She shared three exhibits in the papers. In one of the examples ... she asked Devin if she could post a photo of herself and the child in matching pajamas -- in which Haney responded with "nothing with the baby."
She was, however, allowed to post an image of their child watching him fight in Saudi Arabia in October 2025, which he even reshared to his story.
In a declaration she provided, Sayed said she is requesting the order because "social media is an important part of how I share my life with friends, family, and with my social media followers."
"Khrome, and her representation on my social media account, is important to me, and I want the right to be able to post her without the requirement of Devin's approval, which I believe to be unduly withheld without judicial intervention."
A hearing is scheduled on the matter later this month.
We reached out to Leena's attorney for comment ... but so far no word back.

UPDATE
1/11/25 -- 2:21 PM PT -- Taja Abitbol tells TMZ ... Gale arrived "in an agitated and disruptive state" and quickly became aggressive, directing verbal threats at Abitbol and Netflix, including references to potential legal action. Multiple witnesses saw her drinking from other guests' champagne glasses and acting erratically at what Abitbol described as a private, high-security event.
According to Abitbol, security independently evaluated the situation and concluded the Gale's behavior was disruptive to both guests and staff. She says the decision to remove her followed standard protocol and emphasized that "at no point was there any 'manhandling' or abuse of any kind," adding the removal was "justified, measured, and witnessed by numerous attendees."
Abitbol also notes security personnel are prepared to provide formal statements and maintains the woman was removed solely because of her own conduct, calling any claim to the contrary "a misrepresentation of events."
Tension sure seemed to flare up at one of "Members Only: Palm Beach" star Taja Abitbol’s parties, with Gale Brophy telling TMZ she was asked to leave under heated circumstances.
Gale hopped on TMZ's "Previously On..." podcast to share her side of the story and stop what she called rumors ... denying any chance of her being drunk and claiming she was bullied while being “manhandled” out of the event.
In video TMZ obtained from Taja's party back in December ... Gale appears to be walking out of Taja's event, escorted by a group of security guards -- pausing to address the camera and asking the guards to keep their hands off of her.
