Mystery Man in 'Idol' Ad -- Kristofferson's Spawn
One of the fake wannabes posing in this "They All Start Somewhere" ad for "American Idol" actually started off somewhere pretty significant ... the loins of legendary musician Kris Kristofferson.
TMZ has learned 26-year-old Jesse Kristofferson posed for the advertisement last year -- and according to Jesse's rep, Jeff Ballard, the people at "Idol" have no idea the ad features the son of a famous singer/songwriter.
Well now they know ... and knowing is half the battle.

Paula Abdul -- 'Dancing' Is Lucrative
Paula Abdul has a million reasons to appear on "Dancing with the Stars."
ABC has offered Abdul a $1,000,000 development deal, with one catch -- she has to appear on "DWTS," sources tell TMZ.
ABC has been going after Paula for a few years now, trying to get her on "DWTS."
According to the proposed deal, ABC would allow Paula to do "The X Factor" with Simon Cowell. We're told Simon and Paula met a week ago to discuss the show, and it looks like it will happen.
Paula has to make a quick decision -- we're told the ABC offer is contingent on Paula doing "DWTS" this season, which starts in March.
A rep for ABC says they don't comment on prospective cast members.

Scott Brown's Daughter -- Nude Not For Me
Massachusetts Senator-elect Scott Brown's daughter Ayla says she may follow in her dad's footsteps -- modeling ... but Ayla is drawing the line that her father crossed.

Her reply: "I can't guarantee I'll be doing that kind of modeling."
Kindergarten Cop Watches Over Tiger Woods' Kid
While her daddy is off in hiding somewhere, Tiger Woods' daughter has someone new watching over her ... an off-duty police officer.
A source inside the Florida preschool/kindergarten where Tiger's daughter Sam attends tells TMZ they decided to hire an Orange County sheriff's officer after a number of "traffic incidents" occurred at the school following the news of Tiger's cheating scandal.
We're told the off-duty cop -- who costs $35 an hour -- was brought on by school officials to not only watch out for Sam ... but to also keep the school's children and families safe from the media circus surrounding Tiger's life.
So far, no Tiger Woods look-alikes have been spotted wandering around school property.

Gardener to Jackson: I Did Bring You Flowers
Michael Jackson's landscaper has a tulip or two to pick with the estate -- to the tune of $4,722.01.
Jose T. Mareque has filed a creditor's claim against Michael Jackson's estate, claiming he filled Michael's home with trees, orchids, roses, poinsettias, tulips and other plants -- only to be stiffed. It's the same home where Michael died.
According to the invoices, Mareque did the work in December, 2008. He says the bill came to $14,722.01, and Michael's people sent a check for $10,000 and that's it.
Slight problem -- the final invoice notes that the services were performed in December, 2009 -- Michael had been dead for 6 months.
We called Mareque who said he didn't know he had put the wrong year. But as we know, ignorance of the lawn is no excuse.
Mareque says he'll file an amended creditor's claim to correct the problem.
Jessica Simpson's Dad Has Plumbing Issues
Jessica Simpson's father is accused of being half a cheapskate by a California production company ... over a music video he was having made for an artist on his label.
Frank the Plumber, LLC filed a lawsuit against Papa Joe Records on Friday, claiming Joe hired the company last year to produce a music video for an artist named An-Ya.
In the lawsuit, Plumber claims Joe forked over an initial $75,000 for the video ... but refused to pay the remaining $70,060 balance.
Plumber is keeping the video under lock and key until Joe pays the 70k plus interest and attorneys' fees.
No comment from Joe's camp.

'Jersey Shore' -- MTV Tries to Divide and Conquer
The stars of "Jersey Shore" have been negotiating with MTV like "Friends"... but the network could be turning them into enemies with some serious brinkmanship.
Sources tell TMZ the network has told the cast if they don't accept MTV's deal by the end of business Monday, they will be replaced. And, MTV has told them it does not have to be a package deal -- the cast members who accept the offer will stay ... those who do not can have a nice life.
As we first reported, MTV offered each cast member a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 per episode. We're told the cast rejected the offer and made it clear they would all stand together and hold out for their price, though they didn't say what it was.
MTV made a new offer of $10,000 an episode -- there are 12 episodes in the new season -- but so far the cast hasn't responded.
We're told MTV already has replacements if Snooki, Pauly D, The Situation and the others don't accept the offer on Monday. But, we're told, MTV is happy to mix and match if some of the cast accepts the offer and others don't.
As for who's being the most hard-headed in the negotiations -- The Situation and Pauly D.

Law enforcement in Santaquin, UT says they were called to Coleman's house for a domestic disturbance. They found no crime was committed, but he was was picked up because of a warrant stemming from a prior incident.
The jailer told TMZ the warrant for which Coleman was arrested was for domestic violence incident in 2009. Coleman was cited, but never showed up for court, thus the warrant.
He is currently being held on $1,725 bail.
