The guy who hit Brody Jenner with a beer bottle Sunday morning was talking a LOT of trash before things got violent ... even calling BJ a "douche" ... this according to a witness.

A person who watched the fight go down at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood early Sunday morning tells us Brody's attacker appeared drunk before the ruckus -- and was running his mouth "for no reason."

Brody DID jaw back at the drunk guy ... but we're told BJ did NOT strike first.

Sources say ... when the guy hit Brody with the bottle, his friends rushed in and attacked both BJ and Avril, who happened to be standing next Brody at the time.

We're told Brody needed a couple of stitches to close the gash from the bottle attack and Avril has been "laying low and icing her wounds" -- which consist of a black eye, bloody nose and all sorts of other stuff.

Avril Lavigne says she's a bloody mess after being jumped by 5 people last night -- explaining, "My face is f**ked."

TMZ broke the story ... Avril was involved in a fight outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel around 1:00 AM Sunday morning ... and her BF Brody Jenner was smashed in the head with a bottle (see the bloody aftermath below) while trying to break it up.

Now, Avril is speaking out about the incident -- saying, "I don't fight. I don't believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f**ked."

She added, "As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer."

By the time cops got to the scene -- the alleged combatants had all left the scene (including Avril) -- though Brody stuck around and talked with police.

Gary Dourdan was arrested Sunday night for allegedly breaking his former girlfriend's nose ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told a former girlfriend went to Dourdan's home in Venice, CA Sunday night. Cops received a disturbance call at around 9 PM, arrived at the house but the woman had already left. While the cops were there, someone called LAPD and said an injured woman was in a nearby alley -- it was Dourdan's ex. Cops looked her over and it appeared she had a broken nose and she said Dourdan was the culprit.

Brody Jenner was bleeding from the forehead last night as he made a phone call following a fight inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Usher was bull-rushed in the middle of a crowded parking lot in ATL last weekend -- by an angry woman looking to fight the singer for parking in a handicap spot ... and TMZ has the footage.

Eyewitnesses tell us ... Usher had just arrived to a shopping center near the Little 5 Points Halloween Parade (hence the guy in the Elvis costume) when the woman saw U's SUV parked in a handicap spot.

We're told the woman demanded the singer move his car -- but Usher refused and she went ballistic ... screaming, flailing her arms, and grabbing Usher's hoodie.

At one point, she screams, "You don't belong here!"

Sources say the woman's husband eventually dragged her away from the scene -- and Usher drove away not long after.

Attempts to reach Usher's people were not successful.

7:38 AM: A witness who was at the scene tells us ... when the woman first approached Usher's car, the singer was still in the driver's seat with his window down ... so she shook up a beer and sprayed it at him.

There was a big confrontation at Nicki Minaj's house in Hollywood moments ago ... and it got so bad the cops came ... TMZ has learned.

Here's the backstory. Law enforcement tells us, a couple of weeks ago, Nicki's maid took a photo of the singer out of the trash and then asked Nicki to sign it. Nicki got pissed and fired her.

Cops tell us, the maid did come back today, and Nicki became enraged and ordered her to leave. A source privy to the fight tells TMZ, the maid stood her ground, demanding not to be "treated like an animal" -- at which point, Nicki allegedly said, "I'll show you how to treat someone like an animal ... get the f**k out of my house!"

Now here's where the stories are a bit conflicting. One source says -- contrary to what the cops say -- Nicki actually made a mistake, saw another maid and assumed she was the one Nicki had fired.

We have had multiple people involved in the incident tell us ... the maid Nicki confronted was NOT the same maid she fired a few weeks ago. It was a case of mistaken identity.

Either way, Nicki's boyfriend got in the act and began pushing the maid with his body. The maid's boss called the cops and filed a battery report.

Hollywood legend Omar Sharif lost his cool at a film festival in Qatar this morning ... and angrily slapped a woman right on the red carpet.

Sharif was at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival for a screening of one of his movies ... when a woman approached him on the red carpet ... and tried to take a picture with the 79-year-old actor.

Sharif -- who was nominated for an Oscar in 1962 for his role in "Lawrence of Arabia" -- lashed out in Arabic ... telling the woman to wait her turn ... and then slapping her.

Moments later, the woman smiled and posed for a photo with Sharif like nothing ever happened.

Watching from the video, it's unclear if Sharif made contact with the woman's face -- but one reporter who was at the scene tweeted, "Omar Sharif just hit a woman. Very stupidly, in front of a camera."

Sharif has a long history of getting physical with people -- back in 2003, he attacked a cop in a Paris casino and in 2007, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery for beating up a Beverly Hills parking attendant.

Hard to believe a guy from Rage Against the Machine can play the role of peacemaker -- but that's exactly what happened last night when guitarist Tom Morello stepped in between two angry dudes ... and it was all caught on tape.

It all went down outside the Troubadour in West Hollywood -- where legendary acts like Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Elton John and Richard Pryor played back in the day.

Morello was chillin' outside after his show ... when the two guys began screaming at each other .... but somehow, Tom managed to get each side to apologize.

TMZ has obtained photos ... showing the damage Michael Lohan allegedly caused to his ex-girlfriend's body during a domestic violence incident early Tuesday morning.

The pictures show bruising on Kate Major's upper right arm ... where she claims Lohan violently grabbed her during an argument in her Tampa apartment.

Major also has black and blue marks on her leg, which she claims she suffered when Lohan was shoving her around.

As we previously reported, Major told Tampa police ... Michael got violent and threatened to kill her after she refused to perform oral sex on him in her apartment.

Lohan was arrested and charged with domestic violence ... though he told police he never laid a hand on Major and "would never hurt her."

The man who tried to calm down Shia LaBeouf moments after the beatdown in Vancouver last week tells TMZ ... the actor threatened to pull a knife on him in the wake of the fight ... but he never actually flashed a blade.

TMZ spoke with Shea Carter ... the man who restrained Shia after the fight ... who tells us he noticed the actor inside the Cinema Public House bar BEFORE the melee. Carter says LaBeouf had been drunkenly swaying into several patrons ... including one man who calmly warned Shia, "Hey man, watch out."

Carter says Shia replied, "Oh yea? Or what? What are you going to do about it?" That's when the two decided to take things outside ... and the guy beat Shia down to the ground.

Shia LaBeouf was repeatedly PUNCHED IN THE HEAD by a shirtless, hairy-bellied man on a Vancouver sidewalk last week -- and TMZ has obtained footage of the brutal ass whooping.

It's unclear exactly what provoked the attack -- but we're told Shia originally got into it with the man inside a bar called Cinema Public House ... and after security kicked them both out, the man tore off his shirt and unleashed the fury all over Shia's face.

Moments after the attack, Shia tries to chase after the guy -- but someone who appears to be his friend holds him back, telling him, "You gotta lay low right now!"

TMZ has now obtained video of the actual bar fight in Chicago Friday night -- after which Channing Tatum was ushered away by security.

As we reported, there's a conflict over whether Channing threw a punch in the melee -- or if he was even involved in the fight. Tatum's people insist he was not a participant, but several tweets from alleged patrons suggest otherwise.

The video shows Channing was clearly there -- but the question ... did the actor play a role in the free-for-all?

Channing Tatum had to be ushered away by security after a huge fight broke out at a Chicago bar early this morning.

There was a flurry of tweets today claiming Channing was involved in the fight and punched a patron. However, a source connected with Channing says multiple witnesses definitively say ... Channing never threw a punch and was not involved in the brawl.

We're told law enforcement was called to the scene at 1:10 AM for what was described as a "big fight" -- but no arrests were made.

In the video, Channing can be seen being escorted away by security after the altercation went down.

Channing was seen earlier in the evening, posing for a pic along with a fan with his wife, Jenna Dewan.

Yes, she's still alive -- and to prove it, disgraced "Jersey Shore" star Angelina Pivarnick is suing the girl who allegedly attacked her at some mall in Staten Island last year.

Angelina's lawyer Stephanie Ovadia filed the lawsuit last week in New York -- claiming some 20-year-old girl named Kelsey Balzafiore beat the crap out of Angie at the Hot Topic inside the shopping center.

TMZ broke the story ... Kelsey was arrested for misdemeanor battery after the incident -- for allegedly punching Angelina's friend -- but now, Angelina says she was also the victim of Kelsey's fists of fury.

According to the suit, Kelsey "assaulted, battered and harassed" Angelina -- and as a result, the former "Jersey" girl "was wounded, bruised, and injured and sustained severe shock to her nervous system."

Angelina is also suing Hot Topic for having crappy security. She wants unspecified damages.

Calls to Hot Topic were not returned.

"Swamp People" troublemaker Nicholas Payne allegedly battered a FEMALE cop on the night he was arrested ... and then tried to escape into the woods ... this according to Louisiana police.

TMZ has learned ... the 26-year old gator huntin' apprentice was arrested last month for allegedly striking a female police officer in the chest ... while she was trying to write him a citation for disturbing the peace at a private home.

Law enforcement officials tell us Payne tried to run off into the woods after the attack ... so a K-9 unit was dispatched to find him.

We're told one of the dogs located Payne ... and bit the guy so hard, the reality star had to be taken to a nearby hospital so doctors could treat the wound.

Cops say Payne's injury has since healed up.

Diddy claims he "backslid and regressed" when he shouted racial and homophobic slurs at a clubgoer in Atlanta this weekend ... and now the rap mogul is begging for forgiveness.

Diddy went to his Twitter page a few hours ago ... and issued an apology to his fans for the way he acted inside Compound nightclub Saturday night ... when he threw ice at a clubgoer, threatened to fight the guy ... and then called him a "n**ga" and a "f**got."

Diddy explained, "I'm sorry for the ignorant way I repesented [SIC] myself ... I have backslid and regressed. Forgive me for my ignorance. Pray for me pls. I know better and I am better."

He added, "I have a responibility [SIC] that I promise I will live up to. And I'm more dissapointed [SIC] in myself than you know. I will humble myself and learn."

TMZ spoke to the man on the receiving end of the slurs, Ricky Parker, who tells us he felt "humiliated and disrespected" by Diddy ... and claims he will no longer support the hip hop icon.

Parker tells us he couldn't believe that Diddy would attack him so ferociously, simply because he was drinking Grey Goose vodka that night and NOT Ciroc vodka, which Diddy serves as a spokesperson for.

Parker tells us, "You won't ever hear me support him from this moment forward."
