Don't stick a fork in Tim Tebow ... 'cause he ain't done in the NFL just yet ... at least according to NY Giants quarterback David Carr.

Carr -- the #1 overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft -- was at LAX last night when we asked him if Tebow's release from the Jets signaled the end for the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Despite the media funeral for Tim's career, Carr still thinks there's hope.

L.A. Lakers star Steve Nash thinks he has a good reason NOT to pay child support -- if he does, he thinks his ex-wife will spoil the kids with limos and other luxuries.

Nash is locked in a legal war with Alejandra Nash over their 3 kids. She currently lives in Arizona, where a judge handled their divorce and ruled she was not entitled to child support. She's appealing the ruling and we now know what they're arguing over.

Steve convinced the divorce judge -- Alejandra doesn't need child support because he made her a millionaire 5 times over in the divorce settlement. On top of that, she pulls in more than $30k a month.

For her part, Alejandra says Steve makes a million bucks more than her every month, and it's unfair he's not forced to use some of it for the benefit of their kids.

Steve is saying he's paying plenty -- 90% of medical, school and extracurricular activities, and 82% of the nanny's $2k a month salary. He says he's worried if he pays more, she's an excessive spender who will spoil and damage the kids with crazy luxuries.

But there's more going on here. As we previously reported ... Alejandra wants to move to L.A. but Steve is objecting. It's really weird, because the b-baller has said he chose to go to the Lakers rather than the Knicks so he could be closer to his kids.

5:40 PM PT -- Michael Weinsten, an attorney for Selena, tells TMZ the lawsuit is without merit, adding, "Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous, manufactured after Adrenalina was terminated. Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit, and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages.”

Selena Gomez may smell good to Justin Bieber, but she's downright foul when it comes to honoring her business obligations ... this according to a new lawsuit.

Adrenalina Inc. claims it made a deal with Selena in which the company would develop fragrance products using her name. The company says it did tons of R & D, spending more than $2 million in marketing alone.

The company claims Selena and her agent concocted B.S. reasons to end the relationship, leaving Adrenalina without a spokesperson. Selena allegedly refused to show up for promotions and it screwed with the company.

While tanning her ridiculous badonkadonk, bootyful model Vida Guerra nearly devoured her entire thong bikini bottom in Miami on Wednesday.

Jennifer Lopez has been approached by Fox execs to return to "American Idol" for the balance of the season ... to replace Mariah Carey ... sources connected with the network confirm to TMZ.

We've learned Lopez will appear on the now ratings-challenged show on May 16 to debut her new single, but Fox has bigger ideas -- they want to stop the hemorrhaging quickly and bring the former judge back on the show. The Hollywood Reporter first posted the story that JLo could be returning.

And the show is in trouble. Last week's ratings were the worst since the show debuted in 2002.

Sources tell us Fox is scrambling to find a solution, and ironically they think Lopez could be the answer. We say ironically because network execs would not ante up the cash JLo wanted to stay on the show this season.

We're told as of now ... no deal has been made.

11:30 AM PT -- Sources connected with Eva tell us, it's no big deal ... several cast members of her TV show have been crashing at her house because they don't have somewhere to stay in L.A..

Eva Longoria insists she's not dating "Ready for Love" bachelor Ernesto Arguello -- but the two are definitely LIVING TOGETHER ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell us ... Ernesto -- a 33-year-old successful civil and architectural engineer -- has been crashing at Eva's L.A. pad recently.

We also know ... Eva and Ernesto have been hitting the town together too -- hitting up Chateau Marmont on the Sunset Strip on Sunday night ... and the exclusive Soho House on Monday.

Fox released a statement moments ago, claiming Khloe will NOT be returning as a host for Season 3 ... but Mario Lopez will.
