What do you get for a Christmas gift when your boss is the highest paid athlete in the world?

That's what we asked Floyd Mayweather's bodyguard Big Church at LAX Tuesday ... and his answer didn't disappoint.

Big Church -- part of the "The Great Wall" security squad that protects Floyd -- says every day is like Xmas with Floyd (since they travel all over the world together) ... but there's one gift that stands out.

... and all while traveling in private jets.

It sucks for kids when your mom is in jail -- but Dodgers star Justin Turner did a really cool thing this weekend ... helping the children of inmates celebrate the holidays ... and even handing out gifts.

Turner went to the L.A. County Jail in Lynwood, CA as part of a program that rewards female inmates who enroll into educational programs while doing their time.

But this time the reward was for the kids -- because the children of all women who enrolled got a brand new bicycle for the holidays ... and Turner was there to help give them out!

"This is what it’s all about," Turner said ... "seeing a smile on a child’s face is the best feeling."

Sergeant Peter Gomez -- who helped coordinate the event -- added, "We know that the holiday season can be an emotional time. It's hard on the mothers who are in jail and it is especially hard on their children who come visit them. So we did what we could to shed a little joy during Christmas time."

Pretty cool stuff.

Safyre Terry's Christmas card collection just got the Presidential seal of approval ... she just got a card from President Obama and the First Lady!!!

The envelope arrived Tuesday -- just in time for Christmas -- with a signed photo of the First Family and their dogs, Bo and Sunny.

FLOTUS also wrote a personal message for Safyre, who lost her family and was badly burned in a 2013 fire. "With your kind heart and courageous spirit, we know there is no limit to what you can achieve in your life," wrote Michelle. "So always dream big dreams, and remember that we believe in you."

Safyre's still holding out for her dream card from Katy Perry, but the White House ... pretty awesome.

Even Christmas carolers can't get Richard Simmons to come out of hiding.

It's like a page was ripped out of a Charles Dickens novel ... carolers serenaded Simmons at his Hollywood Hills home ... to no avail.

Simmons hasn't been seen in almost 2 years, even cutting ties with some of his closest friends. His rep told us he's just enjoying life out of the public eye.
