Stevie Wonder My Dead Attorney Screwed Me ... Because I'm Blind

Published | Updated

Stevie Wonder's dead attorney and right-hand man for decades duped him into signing a contract he never saw ... a contract that makes the singer pay the lawyer's family indefinitely and forever ... so claims Stevie.

Stevie just filed legal docs, obtained by TMZ, in which he says his longtime lawyer, Johanan Vigoda, put a contract in front of Stevie's face when he was 21 years old. The deal was, Stevie would pay Johanan 6% of all music royalties. But there's a clause that says payments to the lawyer's family go on "forever."

Johanan died in 2011, but Stevie's record company continued to pay Johanan's widow. Stevie says he didn't realize payments were being made for nearly 2 years, and when he caught wind, he ordered payments to be stopped. He claims he trusted Johanan and the lawyer never said the 6% would survive his death.

Stevie says in his docs he was betrayed by a man he trusted and wants a judge to declare he no longer has a duty to pay royalties, because the attorney took advantage of a blind man.

Johanan's widow has filed her own lawsuit, demanding Stevie pay from the time he stopped and forever in the future. She wants $7 mil minimum.

I GET WHAT I WANT

Donald Trump says he could have bought Jeb Bush if he wanted.

Trump woke up a pretty sleepy round 2 after Bush claimed Donald offered him money in return for supporting gambling in Florida.

Trump fired back Bush was lying, and if he wanted to buy Bush's vote he could have done it in a heartbeat.

And then Trump shot a zinger at Bush. In case you hadn't heard, Trump previously accused Jeb of a cardinal sin in Presidential politics ... being boring.

The duo was on "The Breakfast Club" plugging their new group dumblonde ... when the conversation turned to their old days in DK, and why they're recording independently instead of on a major label.

Shannon's simple explanation for why they didn't get rich of 2 platinum albums -- "We were signed to Diddy." It gets worse from there ... check it out.

We reached to Diddy for a response, but nothing back yet.

Lil Wayne Crash & Burn in Private Jet Case ... Has to Cough Up Millions

Published | Updated

Lil Wayne failed to pay one of his utility bills -- problem is, that utility is a PRIVATE JET -- and now he has to fork over $2 million!

Wayne lost a lawsuit from Signature Group, a company that leases private jets to the rich and famous. We broke the story ... Signature went after Weezy for missing payments during the first 2 years of a 3 year deal with the company.

According to the suit, Wayne had more than $1 million on his tab as of July 2014. For his part, Wayne claimed he never signed a contract with Signature.

The court disagreed, and ruled in favor of Signature. Since it's been a year since the suit was filed, the $1 million ballooned to $1.8 mil ... late fees are a bitch. Wayne also has to pay $200,000 in attorney's fees.

He is now free to move about the cabin.

Chris Brown Scores Win Over Baby Mama

Published | Updated

Chris Brown scored an early victory in his custody war with Nia Guzman that could end up saving him hundreds of thousands of dollars.

There was no sign of Chris during the first part of the hearing in a Houston courtroom ... where the judge shot down Guzman's motion to move the case to California. Although Guzman now lives in Cali ... the judge pointed out she was living in the Houston area when the case was filed.

Brown's attorney opposed the motion to move -- most likely because California courts tend to award more money in child support cases than Texas. Remember, Chris is currently paying Nia $2,500 per month, but she wants to bump that to $15k.

The hearing's still going on -- the judge still has to hash out a custody arrangement, and rule on the gag order Chris wants ... to stop Nia from bad mouthing him.

Even though Chris was NOT initially in the courtroom ... he posted a pic saying he's been in the building all along. We're told he and his attorney Mark Geragos were in a private area.

Chris Brown Do Me a Solid, Judge ... Make My Baby Mama Shut Up!

Published | Updated

Chris Brown wants the courts to do his dirty work -- as in, force baby mama Nia Guzman to quit bad mouthing him and talking about his fathering skills, or lack thereof, in public.

Chris and Nia are heading into court Friday morning to start hammering out a formal custody agreement for Royalty, but sources connected to the case tell us job 1 will be a gag order. Brown filed docs for an injunction blocking Guzman from bashing him to news media AND on social media.

Royalty's mom and dad have had very public beefs -- most recently when each accused the other of putting Royalty in dangerous situations. Sources close to Guzman say she thinks the gag order is a joke, since she only blasts Chris when he starts with her.

Also on the table today -- custody time (he wants 50/50), and monthly child support (she wants $15k/month instead of $2,500/month). This case won't be quick and easy. As one source put it, "It's gonna get nasty."

We'll be at court when the fireworks begin. Stay tuned ...

6:45 AM PT -- Nia just showed up at the courthouse in Houston. No sign of Chris yet.

Hayden Panettiere Shelling Out Loot for Both Parents During Divorce War

Published | Updated

Hayden Panettiere is a dream daughter, helping both her mom and dad who are locked in a bitter divorce fight ... seemingly without taking sides.

Hayden's mom says she's virtually destitute with no place to live in L.A., and were it not for the generosity of her daughter she could be homeless. Lesley Panettiere claims in legal docs her estranged husband Alan has paid her only 4 months worth of spousal support since 2012.

Lesley says Hayden is letting her stay in the actress' West Hollywood condo for free, until she can get back on her feet.

But Hayden's generosity doesn't stop there. According to the docs, Hayden gave Alan a $100,000 gift just this year.

Lesley was making money by managing Hayden when she was a minor, but when she turned 18 she got a professional agency. That left Lesley without work, though she's trying to become a producer.

Lesley and Alan have a difficult past. In 2008 Alan was criminally charged with misdemeanor battery for striking Lesley in the face. He pled no contest.

Donald Trump I'm Making You RICH, CNN ... Donate Your Profits

Published | Updated

Donald Trump just fired off a letter -- loaded with humility (not really) and humor -- trying to shame CNN Prez Jeff Zucker into giving up the cash his network will make off the next Republican debate.

Trump starts by pointing out CNN's ad rates have reportedly skyrocketed 4,000% -- from $5,000 to $200,000 per 30 seconds -- for next week's debate. He suggests that since he's self funding his campaign, the network should also do something good ... and donate its "massive profits" to veterans groups.

Best part of the letter ... Trump's efforts to NOT boast about himself. He writes, "While I refuse to brag, and as you know very well, this tremendous increase in viewer interest and advertising is due 100% to 'Donald J. Trump.'"

Still not bragging, he mentions the enormous ad rates NBC got for 'The Apprentice.'

Ok, the letter lacks humility -- but veterans groups do need support.

DMX The Flesh of My Flesh Betrayed Me

Published | Updated

DMX is indignant and hurt over what he considers supreme betrayal by his own son, who is selling the rapper's platinum records while he sits in jail.

X's son Xavier wants to jump-start his own music career with cash, and the cash cow was laying right in his closet. DMX lived with Xavier and his mom until 2007, when the woman threw X out. He left lots of stuff behind, including the platinum records.

Xavier put precious platinums for the albums "And Then There Was X" and "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood" on eBay for a total of $3,000.

X is livid, telling us it's his stuff and not Xavier's. What's more, DMX says it shows supreme ingratitude ... he says he took his baby mama out of the projects and got her a house next to Martha Stewart's.

Blood of My Blood just got real.

50 Cent Sued I'll Show You Who Has the Power

Published | Updated

11:00 AM PST: New York Times best selling author Nikki Turner tells TMZ ... "I would like to set the record straight that the news that's circulating in regard to "Power," 50 Cent and myself is completely false.

"I never showed 50 Cent any manuscripts but my own which is "Death Before Dishonor" and in no way related to 50 Cent's television series, "Power." Please don't believe the lie that's being told, as it's completely false."

50 Cent has another creditor -- aka "Plaintiff" who is suing the rapper for brashly stealing his show idea.

Larry Johnson claims he wrote a manuscript, "Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid," and in 2005, sent it to Nikki Turner, who works for 50 at G-Unit Books. He says the book was eventually published elsewhere, but believes Nikki showed the manuscript to 50.

Johnson claims much to his horror, in 2014 Starz debuted "Power," Fiddy's show about a drug dealer who's trying to go legit.

Johnson says it's a carbon copy of his manuscript. In his book, the primary character has a goatee ... ditto "Ghost" in "Power." In fact, Johnson says he even uses the nickname "Ghost" as his pen name.

And Johnson says in his manuscript the main character's best friend has a short fuse, just like Tommy in "Power."

In Johnson's manuscript the main character owns the hottest nightclub in Atlanta. In "Power," Ghost has the hottest club in NYC.

Johnson is looking for $200 million to make things right.
