By the Power of Greyskull!

Published | Updated

Dusting off yet another pop culture relic, Warner Bros. announced today that they are going to make a new live-action movie version of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe." I have the power!

While casting is still a ways off, perhaps the producers wouldn't mind a few suggestions:

-- Matthew McConaughey never wears a shirt and he's buff as all hell. Don't think He-Man plays the bongos, though.

-- Andy Roddick has the guns for the part. Can they Photoshop a whole movie?

-- Dolph Lundgren starred as He-Man in 1987's "Masters of the Universe." His schedule is probably wiiiiiiiiiiide open.

Howard K. Stern Is the Devlin!

Published | Updated

TMZ has obtained a publicity shot of the actor playing Howard K. Stern in the "Anna Nicole" movie starring Willa Ford. He may not be David Schwimmer, but he's still hotter than the real thang!

Actor Chris Devlin plays Anna's partner and Dannielynn's faux father in the independent feature. Although Devlin never got to meet Stern, he told TMZ he imagines Howard's time with Anna was like "being in a hot tub full of whip cream -- on the Titianic." Iceberg!

As TMZ mentioned before, the film also stars lip-glossed glamatron Bobby Trendy as himself ... which means the movie should be awfully hysterical!

Anna Nicole Movie Wraps -- Willa's a No-Show

Published | Updated

It's official! The Anna Nicole movie has wrapped, and now the world awaits the arrival of this sure-to-be heartwrenching masterpiece ... everyone but Willa!

The cast and crew had their wrap party on Sunday in Los Angeles. All were present except for the movie's star, Willa Ford. We contacted Ford's reps to find out what kept the busty blonde from attending, but her peeps were not available for comment by deadline.

TMZ has been informed that the movie's other star (in his own mind), the fabulosity that is Miss Bobby Trendy, has been asked to help represent the film at the Cannes Film Festival. Will Willa miss that party as well?

Is There Something about Cameron?

Published | Updated

Cameron Diaz has landed at #19 on Maxim's Hot 100 List, but a debate has raged in the TMZ newsroom as to whether the blonde blue-eyed "Angel" would look better sporting a "Mask!"

TMZ staffers who saw Cameron at this weekend's VH1 Rock Honors in Vegas are in agreement; in person she is "gor-GEOUS" -- while others think the ruddy-skinned star has more in common with "Shrek."

TMZ wants to know what you think. Is Cameron Diaz hot or not?!

Smoking Is Hazardous to Your Rating

Published | Updated

The MPAA, which dishes out the ratings for movies, said that they've had enough of smoking, which now joins sex and violence as a celluloid ratings bumper.

Dan Glickman, Chief Finger Wagger for the ratings board told the NY Post, "Now, all smoking will be a consideration in the ratings process," and that "pervasive" or "glamorize" smoking might snag an R-rating for flicks. Put that out!

Anti-smoking activists have long sought an automatic R for pix that feature puffing, but regulators stopped short of the instant R, and will consider films individually, as they always do.

Bruce Willis Punks "Die Hard" Dweeb

Published | Updated

Bruce Willis gave nerdy film fanboys the shock of their lives when he joined an Internet chat about his upcoming movie "Die Hard 4." Yippie Kai-Yay geeks!

Film fans on Ain't It Cool News were chatting about the new film's lame PG-13 rating when a member by the name of "Walter B" logged on, claiming to be Bruce Willis. Most fans were skeptical - especially one by the name of Moriarity, with whom Willis verbally sparred, telling him to "hit me with your best test." OK, what's Demi like in bed? When that failed to work, Willis took the technology route, hooking himself up to a web-camera to prove who he was in the flesh. Somebody's been watching "Punk'd."

Among the topics Willis covered with fans: working on the film "Armegeddon" ("A screaming director on set does not make for a pleasant experience"); his new hip-hip documentary, "The Hip Hop Project"; and his all-time favorite films ("Resevoir Dogs," "Bullit," and "Spartacus," among others.) Hey, what about "Hudson Hawk?"

Tobey Maguire had 148 million things to be happy about this weekend, but none could compare to spending time with his #1 fan -- adorable daughter Ruby Sweetheart.

With Venom, Sandman and the New Goblin nowhere in sight, a villain-free day was had by all.

Tracy Morgan: Stop Talkin' S**t About Me!

Published | Updated

"30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan is a little miffed about TMZ's coverage of his recent DUI and subsequent probation violation -- telling one of our photogs yesterday in New York to "Stop writing bad things about me, man!"

Tracy will be in court later this month to be fitted for a SCRAM ankle bracelet, which monitors the wearer's booze intake.

While avoiding cocktails with ice, Morgan will be working with Ice Cube in the crime comedy caper, "First Sunday."

Bobby and Anna -- Together Again!

Published | Updated

It was deja vu all over again for fluffy Bobby Trendy, as he relived his wacky Anna Nicole days on the set of the Anna biopic starring Willa Ford as the late medicated Playmate. Although Ford does bear a striking resemblance to the 2002 Anna at the height of "The Anna Nicole Show," Bobby now looks more like, well, the supah-glam version of Bobby.

In this side by side, Trendy is seen as he was five years ago, with the extent of his flamboyance going no further than blonde highlights and serious lip gloss. In the biopic, Miss Trendy will be seeing wearing one of her now signature outfits, not unlike those glittery pantsuits worn by Liza Minnelli -- or Liberace at the height of his Vegas phase. Sparkle, hon!

Who's more convincing -- Willa as Anna, or Bobby as Bobby? Vote!

Holy S**t! Fire on the "Batman" Set

Published | Updated

A fire broke out on the roof of a vacant former post office building in Chicago on Tuesday, where a movie crew had been filming scenes for the upcoming Batman sequel "The Dark Knight," starring Christian Bale. At least a dozen ambulances and fire trucks were on the scene (where's a superhero when you need one?!) just south of Chicago's downtown business loop.

The crews had been filming there all week and letters affixed to the side of the old post office read: "Gotham National Bank."

When the fire first broke out, a witness said "We assumed it was part of the movie." Some special efx!

UPDATE: A producer for the film tells TMZ that no actors were in the area at the time. He says that the fire started in an airway duct that is used for a railway underneath the building, the sprinkler system was activated, and the building was evacuated.

Worker on Val Kilmer Film Apologizes for Talkin' Sh*t

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned Kelli Lassen, the enraged production peon who angrily told the wife of a TMZ staffer living on the block where a Val Kilmer film was shooting, "You need to move your f**king car because we need to park the toilets for the Val Kilmer movie!" -- has written an apology for her crappy attitude and potty mouth.

In a handwritten mea culpa left on the TMZ staffer's door, Lassen called the incident a "misunderstanding," and labels her profanity-laced tirade a "courtesy warning." Where'd she go to school? The Alec Baldwin Etiquette Academy?!

Ironically, it wasn't even our staffer's wife's car, but Lassen apologized for possibly waking up the resident and for being abrupt. She claims she was "merely trying to eliminate towing," adding, "I sincerely care about the local Echo Park residents." Um, define "care!"

Strangely enough, according to her MySpace profile, Lassen is a Buddhist, interested in "positivity," and believes the popular self-help book/DVD "The Secret" is working for her. TMZ is happy to have delivered a little instant karma.

Val Can't Take Dump So Residents Must Pay

Published | Updated

It's rough living around a location shoot for a Val Kilmer movie!

At 8:30 this morning, a movie starring Kilmer, "Columbus Day," was about to film in Echo Park near downtown L.A.

The residents were supposed to move their cars off the street. The wife of a TMZ staffer was at home, taking care of her one-year-old child when she heard banging at the front door. A woman named Kelli Lassen told the staffer's wife, "You need to move your f**king car because we need to park the toilets for the Val Kilmer movie." Nice.

We contacted Lassen, who at first denied saying it, then said she was reacting to a man in a nearby apartment who wouldn't move his car. She said she called that man a "f**king asshole" and then acknowledged she got hot with the staffer's wife.

Lassen apologized for her outburst, but added, "Val Kilmer can't even use the bathroom."
