Shocker ... ex-Bulls star Dennis Rodman is pulling for the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series.

And with his ex-teammate, Scottie Pippen, going through a pretty nasty divorce, we asked if he had any advice for his fellow NBA legend.

Boston Celtics player Gerald Green was so stoked about kicking off the NBA season Wednesday night -- he braided a CLOVER into his hair ... and it was awesome.

By the way, it worked -- the Celtics beat the Nets and Green dropped 9 points!

Marcus and Markieff Morris have been sued by a man who claims the NBA star twin brothers beat him to a bloody pulp during a 2015 incident ... and now he's messed up physically and emotionally.

The man behind the lawsuit is Erik Hood -- who says he went to a youth basketball game in Phoenix in January 2015 because he's friends with one of the coaches ... only to be attacked by the Morris brothers after the game.

In the suit, filed by David Gammill of Geragos & Geragos, Hood says the Morris bros -- along with 3 other men -- had "formulated a joint plan to attack" ... and then executed it after the game.

Hood says one of the men said to him, "(expletive), you know what time it is" -- and then he got jumped.

Hood says he was hospitalized with bad injuries including a broken nose, broken ribs, head contusion, fractured vertebrae, cuts on his body and injuries to his eyes.

Now, Hood claims he suffers from PTSD thanks to the beatdown.

FYI, the Morris brothers were charged with felony aggravated assault -- but have pled not guilty to the charges.

Kobe Bryant has done it ... Caron Butler has done it ... and now the originator of the NBA's "Big Balls" dance thinks it's high time the league let guys do it in peace ... without the huge fine.

We got Sam Cassell out at Mastro's and asked him about the move he made famous ... the imaginary cuffing of huge huevos whenever you hit a big shot.

Sam's been busting the move since back in his Minnesota Timberwolves days ... but now the league has labeled it a no-no ... issuing huge fines to offending players.

Chris was out at Mastro's in Beverly Hills when we noticed his opulent turtleneck sweater ... a sweater that he'd for some reason taken off upon his exit from the establishment.

Since Chris clearly knows ... we had to ask him what's the rule for rocking the turtleneck ... especially for some of our more robust brothers.

Gilbert Arenas says he's NOT REALLY struggling financially -- despite what he said in court docs -- claiming he's still extremely loaded and hiding his fortune from his baby mama.

We broke the story ... Gilbert filed court docs in his family law case saying his $111 million NBA contract pays out on Oct. 31st -- and once that day comes, he won't be able to afford to pay for his kids' expensive private school.

In the docs, Gilbert makes it very clear he'll be living on interest from previous investments -- and not rollin' like a $160 MILLION baller.

But after TMZ Sports posted the story ... Gilbert posted a video of his own -- showing off his kids messing around with thousands of dollars in cash and bragging that he's "hiding" it from his baby mama, Laura Govan.

Gilbert also shows off his kids' safety deposit boxes and says they're "gold digger proof."

He also says if Laura is insistent on sending the kids to school she better start "selling that p**sy."

Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. is calling a foul on Major League Baseball ... saying they cheated the fans by not letting Charlie Sheen throw out the first pitch of the World Series.

We got Nance -- an Akron native -- out in L.A. at the Dew NBA 3X and asked what he thought about the MLB striking out efforts to get Sheen to throw out the first pitch in Cleveland ... as Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn.

Check out the clip -- Nance thinks it was a huge mistake ... saying the fans want it, the city wants it ... even going so far as saying IT'S MEANT TO BE!!!

Scottie Pippen's marriage did not end well -- cops were called to the NBA star's home TWICE in the past 3 weeks for domestic disturbances ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've confirmed ... the Ft. Lauderdale PD first responded to Pippen's home on October 2nd and found Larsa waiting in her car in front of the home.

Larsa told cops she was involved in a "heated verbal argument" with Scottie but insisted it NEVER GOT PHYSICAL.

Scottie told police she could come back inside and there would be no issues and even offered to leave if it made Larsa feel more comfortable. Larsa decided to leave and stay somewhere else that night. No arrests were made.

The next incident took place on October 4th. Cops were once again called to the home for a domestic disturbance. The details are unclear at this point -- but it appears no one was arrested.

Scottie ultimately filed for divorce on October 18th. Larsa has said she's hopeful the two will be able to maintain a good relationship for the sake of their 4 kids.

11:52 AM PT -- TMZ Sports has obtained the divorce docs in which Scottie says the couple has a prenup in place.

Pippen also wants Larsa to receive child support for their 4 kids -- though the amount is yet to be determined.

11:32 AM PT -- Larsa Pippen has issued a statement through her rep saying:

"After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage."

"Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their 4 beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect."

"She would like to thank everyone for their understanding and kindly ask for privacy from the media during this difficult time of transition for her family."

It's over for Scottie and Larsa Pippen -- the NBA Hall of Famer has filed for divorce from the 'Real Housewives of Miami' star ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Scottie filed divorce docs in Florida earlier this week seeking to end the marriage, this according to court documents. The two have been married since 1997 and have 4 kids together.

Unclear what happened ... they were just seen together at NY Fashion Week in September where their 7-year-old daughter, Sophia, was modeling in a fashion show. At the time, both Scottie and Larsa were wearing their wedding rings.

Larsa is best friends with Kim Kardashian's family and is often featured on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

TMZ Sports has obtained the 911 call made after Paul Millsap's Rolls-Royce collided with a motorcycle this week -- with the witness describing a fiery scene as people tried to help the injured biker.

We broke the story ... the Atlanta Hawks superstar was driving his Rolls on Monday around 6:30 PM when a biker slammed into the front of the vehicle.

A woman called 911 and told the operator, "Oh my gosh, there's fire. It just happened. There's somebody lying on the ground."

"I heard a crash ... and I saw something fly out. I thought it was a piece of a vehicle. It was a person. And the person landed on the sidewalk."

The biker was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Millsap was not injured.

Cops reportedly blamed the biker for the collision and cited him for failure to maintain his lane.

Derrick Rose's lawyer says the media had a racist agenda against 3 black defendants in the civil rape case -- but says the mostly white jury was able to see the truth.

The NBA star was all smiles on his way out of court -- and while he barely talked, his attorney, Mark Baute, played the role of mouthpiece and unloaded on reporters.

"The media reporting was biased against the black men," Haute said ... "blatantly obvious."

"We're just very relieved that the system worked. We had a jury of 7 white people and 1 hispanic who exonerated 3 black men. It was fantastic."

But get this ... before they left the courthouse, Rose and his team posed for pictures WITH JURORS!!!

In fact, the two male jurors in the photo (taken by Deadspin's Diana Moskovitz) told the media they were not Rose fans before the trial ... but judging by the pic, they are now.

2:15 PM PT -- Cops determined Millsap was NOT at fault ... according to a police report obtained by Chris Vivlamore of AJC.com.

Vivlamore says cops cited the biker for failure to maintain his lane.

12:20 PM PT -- Good news ... the Hawks tell TMZ Sports that Millsap was not injured and he even worked out with the team Tuesday.

Atlanta Hawks superstar Paul Millsap was involved in a serious accident involving a motorcycle -- which left his Rolls-Royce smashed up and the bike wedged into the front end ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Here's what we know ... it all went down around 6:30 PM on Monday in Atlanta. We've spoken with several people connected to the incident but don't know exactly who crashed into whom.

We're told the biker was injured in the wreck and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

Officials at the scene say the motorcycle was on fire and the ATL Fire Dept. responded to put out the flames.

As for Paul, all we know is he was in the Rolls-Royce at the time of the crash -- unclear if he was the driver or a passenger.

We've reached out to the Hawks -- a rep told us they were aware of the accident. We also reached out to Paul's rep, so far no word back.

Bad news for DeAndre Jordan ... looks like his boss ain't too keen on his plan to sign Chris Bosh to the Clippers.

DJ had told us last week that he would sacrifice playing time to get the 11-time All-Star on the Clip squad -- so, when we saw Doc Rivers out this weekend we had to ask about it.

FYI, the execs at the Miami Heat have said they're cutting ties with Bosh over his blood clot condition -- though Bosh says he's determined to continue his NBA career with another team.

Unfortunately, Doc made it pretty clear Bosh ain't gonna land with the Clippers.

BONUS -- Doc was having dinner with Larry David ... prettay, prettay, prettay cool.

HOFer Dennis Rodman is one of the greatest rebounders ever ... but he's not even the best hooper in his family ... 'cause Dennis says his son's a "way better" player than him.

TMZ Sports saw Rodman -- a 5x NBA champ -- in L.A. earlier this week ... and asked the "Worm" about his teen son, D.J. Rodman ... who's a beast on the court.

D.J. -- who plays at Corona del Mar H.S. in California -- is only a sophomore. Still, the way Rodman describes his son, the kid's gonna be rockin' an NBA uni one day soon.

Derrick Rose's friend took the stand and recounted details from the night of the alleged rape, and explained why Rose's memory of the incident wasn't as clear as his.

Ryan Allen -- who's also a defendant in the case -- told the court graphic details about the night ... including the lighting in the bedroom, kissing the accuser, using lube and a condom and the accuser's pink vibrator. Allen testified the sex was consensual and that the accuser was completely sober.

Rose and Allen have been pals since childhood. The accuser claims they and Randall Hampton broke into her home and gang raped her.

Allen testified he flushed his condom after the sex ... unlike Rose who said he took his with him when they left the apartment. The accuser's attorney asked Allen why he didn't do the same, and he said, "Derrick's condom is a little more desired than my condom."

Translation: Derrick's semen is way more desirable than Allen's. Only one is an NBA superstar.

When the accuser's attorney asked why Allen remembers the night more clearly than Rose ... he said, "People don't know how hard it is to be an NBA player. Derrick had a lot going on with family and basketball." He then bro'd out with Allen, saying ..."I appreciate you pooh."
