Ex-Disney star Jake T. Austin WAS the driver of the car that crashed into 3 other vehicles early Tuesday morning -- but because of some swift and clever legal gymnastics by his lawyer, Jake may actually avoid prosecution ... TMZ has learned.

Here's the way it went down -- sources intimately familiar with the situation tell TMZ, 18-year-old Jake and a friend were driving in Studio City around 3AM when he crashed into the 3 cars.

Witnesses say Jake tossed a Ciroc vodka bottle out of the car, but before cops arrived at the scene, we're told Jake ordered an Uber (Town Car service) ... and he and his friend high-tailed it out.

Cops suspect drinking was involved, but there's no way Jake could be prosecuted for drunk driving because police never located him. And, we're told, Jake denies he had been drinking.

But drinking aside, Austin is still in trouble for leaving the scene of an accident without providing identifying information ... which constitutes a hit-and-run. But Jake's lawyer pulled off some legal acrobatics that could get Jake off the hook.

We're told the lawyer called cops at 4am and told them Jake was the owner of the car. Cleverly, the lawyer did NOT disclose the fact that Jake was the driver ... so as not to violate the attorney-client privilege, especially important because leaving the scene is a crime.

And here's where it gets really good -- we're told Jake has an iron-clad excuse for leaving the scene: he and his passenger were injured and needed immediate medical attention. In other words, they didn't have time to leave a note.

We're told Jake had an injury to his mouth, and went directly to the ER and received stitches.

And the coup de grace, we're told Jake's lawyer has made it clear ... the victims will be fully compensated ... so there's really no need to prosecute.

The legal maneuvering might have saved the lawyer a huge headache on multiple fronts -- he's also repping Jake after the kid's DUI arrest last month.

Chief Keef -- prodigy rapper, horrible parent -- finally paid off some of the $20,900 he owes in child support ... ponying up JUST enough cash to keep his ass from getting arrested ... again.

TMZ has obtained court docs which show on October 21st, the judge in Cook County, IL made Keef an offer he couldn't refuse -- cut a check for $11k to your baby mama and you won't go to jail.

Keef (smartly) forked over the dough ... which means cops won't be ordered to arrest him on sight.

But Keef ain't exactly out of the woods yet -- the rapper is due back in court on December 10 to face the music for blowing off mandatory child support hearings earlier this year.

If the judge finds Keef to be in contempt, he could be sent back to the slammer ... where he's already been this year (twice!) for drug-related offenses.

How's this for irony ... George Zimmerman belongs in prison ... this, coming from one of the jurors in the Trayvon Martin case who kept him OUT of prison.

Juror B29 -- who identifies herself as Maddy -- tells TMZ, she always had a bad feeling about Zimmerman, despite finding him not guilty of murdering Trayvon ... a verdict she begrudgingly reached through a strict interpretation of the law.

Now, she says Zimmerman's domestic violence arrest is proof he's not freedom-worthy ... "God is showing George's true side ... [George] is continuing to dig himself a bigger grave."

The juror believes Zimmerman will continue to commit violent acts until someone lays down the law ... telling us, "He NEEDS to do some type of time ... He thinks he is invincible."

George Zimmerman's estranged wife has her hubby just where she wants him -- in a 5 x 7 cell so she can FINALLY serve him with divorce docs ... and we're told that's exactly what happened.

Shellie Zimmerman's lawyer, Kelly B. Sims tells us ... with the help of the jailers, they were able to serve George in a solitary cell last night at the Seminole County Jail.

TMZ broke the story ... George has been dodging Shellie for months in her quest to serve him with papers to end their marriage, but he blew his cover yesterday ... after being arrested for allegedly threatening his current girlfriend with a shotgun.

Where there's smoke ... TMZ has learned, Ex-Disney star Jake T. Austin was busted for DUI just last month in the SAME CAR that was involved in the 4-car hit-and-run crash this morning.

Law enforcement sources tell us, Austin was arrested October 8th by the CHP after being pulled over for driving at night without headlights. We're told police officers smelled booze as they approached his vehicle, administered a field sobriety test and Austin did poorly.

According to sources, 18-year-old Austin blew a .08 and was arrested. He has since been charged with DUI and has a court date scheduled for TOMORROW.
At the time he was busted, Austin was driving the 2010 Audi with New York plates -- the same car that slammed into multiple cars early this morning.

1:30 PM PT -- Zimmerman has just been released from jail after bonding out for $9,000.

George Zimmerman has just been ordered to stay the hell away from his GF after their domestic violence dispute yesterday -- during which he allegedly pointed a shotgun at her face -- and he's also required to give up his firearms ... shotgun included.

Zimmerman just faced a judge in Florida for the first time since his arrest. During the hearing, the judge granted him $9,000 bond ... but on a few conditions.

1) Zimmerman must stay 1,500 feet away from his GF at all times, and have ZERO contact with her.
2) He must relinquish possession of his firearms (including the shotgun he allegedly pointed at her)
3) He can't leave the State of Florida
4) He must wear a monitoring device to track his location

Normally, a defendant is required to purchase his own monitoring device -- which can be pretty expensive -- but Zimmerman's lawyer said he's too poor ... so the judge waived the cost.

George Zimmerman's girlfriend went NUCLEAR after he allegedly pointed his shotgun at her face and broke a bunch of her stuff ... and we got her dramatic 911 call -- but the craziest part ... Zimmerman says she's pregnant.

As we reported, Zimmerman was arrested in Orlando, FL earlier today after allegedly pointing his DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN at his girlfriend ... and shoving her out of the house, this according to the Seminole County Sheriff.

The GF called 911 in the middle of their argument -- shouting at dispatch while yelling at Zimmerman. Once police arrived, Zimmerman placed his own call to 911.

During his call, Zimmerman says the girlfriend is "going crazy" and is PREGNANT WITH HIS CHILD. He says he called 911 so everyone would know the truth about what happened.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, the GF told police she and Zimmerman had become involved in a verbal dispute ... and when she asked him to leave, he began to break things in the house.

She told cops Zimmerman also began packing up his things -- which included a shotgun and an assault rifle -- but as the argument escalated, Zimmerman grew more upset ... and took the shotgun out of its case.

The GF announced she was going to call the police ... and according to the report, that's when Zimmerman leveled his shotgun at her and asked if she really wanted to do that. He then allegedly smashed a glass coffee table with the butt of the gun.

The GF told police Zimmerman shoved her outside and barricaded the front door behind her.

Zimmerman's pickup truck was parked in the driveway of their home (below) ... when police responded to the 911 call. Police claim they eventually forced their way into the house and placed Zimmerman under arrest.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Zimmerman is currently being held in a single cell for his own protection.

Zimmerman has had multiple run-ins with cops ever since he was acquitted back in July of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... a man showed up to Colin's home Saturday afternoon hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor ... but things got weird when he walked right up to the front door.

We're told Colin was home at the time and got freaked out ... so he called his assistant who called cops.

The fan was quickly taken into custody and after cops spoke with him -- they decided to put the suspect on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

Stop us if this one sounds familiar -- one of the people from the ex-MTV show "Buckwild" was arrested this morning in West Virginia ... this time for a DUI.

Anna Davis -- who the show described as a "true wild child" -- was busted early Saturday morning for aggravated DUI.

It's unclear at this point why the DUI charges were elevated since a whole slew of things could have caused it ... but the same thing happened to her co-star Bluefoot earlier this year when he had a BAC higher than .15.

Anna was released hours later on a $1k pr bond -- meaning she didn't have to pay ... just promise to show up in court.

The woman accused of stalking Alec Baldwin found out where the actor lived and took her obsession for him directly to his home ... according to surveillance video presented as evidence in her trial.

The D.A. in NYC just released the video ... showing Genevieve Sabourin walking around inside the lobby of Baldwin's Manhattan apartment building in April 2012. She was arrested outside the building shortly after this video was recorded. Sabourin is also accused of showing up at Baldwin's home in the Hamptons a few days earlier.

Baldwin claims Sabourin was an acquaintance who became obsessed with him ... inundating him for years with phone calls, text messages and emails and professing her undying love for him.

"Amish Mafia" star Esther Schmucker has come out of hiding -- revealing her bruised and battered face in public for the first time since her boyfriend allegedly used it as a punching bag.

Schmucker was sporting a seriously black eye as she went out on a shopping run ... but she didn't have much to say, telling a photographer, "I don't feel like talking to anybody."

As we reported ... the beatdown left Schmucker with a broken nose and cheekbone ... and several broken teeth. She hasn't been seen in public since her boyfriend -- Imir R. Williams -- was arrested for the Oct. 31 attack on her face.

Anthony Mackie -- who has appeared in numerous big movies including "8 Mile," "Hurt Locker" and "Gangster Squad," was arrested Saturday morning for drunk driving ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Mackie was driving in NYC at around 1:30 when cops pulled him over for tinted windows. We're told when they approached the driver's side they noticed Mackie had bloodshot, watery eyes and they smelled booze.

Mackie flunked several field sobriety tests and was then cuffed and taken to a nearby police station where he was booked.

Chief Keef’s a free man again ... sorta ... TMZ has learned he's been released from jail in Chicago and is supposed to check into rehab in California for his weed problems.

As TMZ reported … the 18-year-old rapper had been on probation for speeding ... but landed back in court this week after testing positive for marijuana on three random drug tests.

A Chicago judge ordered Keef to rehab ... 'cause he clearly can't stop smoking bud. But ... there's still the matter of his community service ... which he'll begin serving in Chicago after he finishes his stint at the California facility.

Amber Portwood may be hanging out at a Panera Bread with her ex ... but that doesn't mean they're bangin' again ... this according to Amber and her baby daddy.

Amber and Gary Shirley made it clear outside the tasty food chain in Indiana today ... telling a photog they have no plans to get back together following her exit from prison this week.

As you may recall -- Gary and Amber had an extremely volatile relationship ... Back in '10 Amber was arrested for attacking Gary while MTV cameras were filming for "Teen Mom."

It was a whole thing.

For now, it seems the two are simply trying to get along for the sake of their kid ... but in case that doesn't work out -- hopefully Gary's learned to duck.

The boyfriend of "Amish Mafia" star Esther Schmucker is locked up in a Pennsylvania prison for allegedly using the reality star's face as a punching bag ... and then trying to shut her up.

Imir R. Williams was captured by a police task force in Lancaster, PA this morning ... he'd been hiding out since Sunday when cops named him the suspect in Esther's beating -- which left her with a broken nose and cheekbone.

Schmucker reportedly went to a hospital for treatment after last Thursday's attack -- accompanied by Williams. Her roommate told police Williams was "guarding her" to make sure she didn't rat him out.

But cops say Schmucker did eventually come forward 3 days later to tell them about the alleged attack.

Ex "Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood is savoring every moment after 17 months behind bars -- reuniting with her 4-year-old daughter on Monday -- and TMZ has the photos.

As we reported, Amber was originally sentenced to 5 years in an Indiana prison for violating probation in her drug possession case, but she was released early for good behavior and time served.

Sources tell TMZ, as soon as Amber got out she made a detour to a burger joint called Frisch's Big Boy -- and then beelined to see Leah ... who's been living with her dad while Amber was locked up.

Amber's baby daddy, Gary Shirley, currently has full custody ... but we're told she's planning to seek shared custody ASAP.
