George Clooney Bails Out for Cheap

George Clooney just bailed out of jail after being arrested for crossing a police line this morning in Washington D.C.

His bond -- about as cheap as it gets -- $100.

Clooney and others were protesting in front of the Sudanese Embassy, voicing dismay over the killing of innocent men, women, and children. Clooney was arrested by U.S. Secret Service after he refused to move away from the protected area around the Embassy.

In all ... 15 men were arrested, including George's dad Nick as well as a congressman, and 2 women.

Moments after he was released, George was asked about his ultra-short stint behind bars -- and he joked, "Really rough you can imagine ... Have you ever been in a cell with these guys?"

'Terminator 3' Star Charged with Cabbie Stiffing

"Terminator 3" star Nick Stahl has been charged with the most heinous crime in the universe -- not paying a taxi driver -- after allegedly failing to come up with enough cash to cover an $84 fare.

TMZ broke the story ... Nick was arrested back in January when he took a long cab ride to Hollywood -- and found himself a little short on cash when it came time to pay the tab. Nick fessed up to the driver, who then flagged down a cop.

According to law enforcement sources, Nick was charged with "defrauding a taxi operator" -- and has since pled "no contest." As a result, Nick was ordered to pay a $50 fine.

But since Nick spent nearly an entire day in jail following his arrest, the judge suspended the fine. It's unclear if the cab driver ever got his money.

'16 and Pregnant' Star I'm NOT Pregnant ... Period

"16 and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis tells TMZ ... she DID swipe a pregnancy test off the shelf at a Walmart this week ... but says she's glad to report she's NOT with child.

TMZ broke the story ... the 20-year-old reality star was arrested in Georgia on Thursday when store security caught her smuggling a First Response preggo test into the women's restroom.

Purvis admits ... she did INTEND to use the test in the restroom ... but chickened out at the last minute and threw it away before she could pee on the stick.

Purvis explains, "My boyfriend was with me and he had money – but I didn’t want to freak him out. I was just being stupid with my decisions. I wish I would have handled the situation better."

The former MTV star was hauled to a nearby jail ... and released a short time later.

But before Purvis could go back to the store to legally purchase another test ... Mother Nature answered her question with a surprise visit from Aunt Flo.

Whitney's reaction -- "I was excited because I didn’t want another kid – I already have one.”

Purvis says she's learned her lesson -- noting, "I never will go back to jail or steal again in my life."

'16 and Pregnant' Star Arrested for Stealing Pregnancy Test

"16 and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis was arrested in Georgia yesterday ... after cops say she shoplifted a pregnancy test from a local Walmart ... and used it in the store.

According to the police report, the 20-year-old MTV star stashed a First Response pregnancy test in a hooded jacket ... and then "took it to the restroom with her and used one."

Purvis allegedly tried to sneak out of the store through a side door ... but she was busted by store security ... who put her under citizens arrest and called local police.

According to the report, the pregnancy test was valued at $15.98.

Purvis was hauled to a nearby police station where she was booked for misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.

Purvis was featured on the MTV show in 2009. Her mother was busted for meth in Georgia last year.

'Home Improvement' Kid Charged with DUI and Hash Possession

Former "Home Improvement" star Taran Noah Smith has been charged with driving under the influence and possession of hash stemming from an arrest earlier this month ... TMZ has learned.

We broke the story ... the 27-year-old was popped in L.A. County on Feb 1 when cops saw him behind the wheel of a Honda Accord that was parked in front of a fire hydrant. Once they investigated the situation, we're told Smith had a "strong odor" of cannabis.

If convicted on both misdemeanor counts, Smith faces up to a year and a half in jail and $1,500 in fines.

He's due back in court in March.

"Home Improvement" Kid Taran Noah Smith Busted for Drug Possession

Taran Noah Smith, the youngest kid from "Home Improvement," was arrested early this morning for alleged DUI and possession of drugs -- hash, to be specific.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... 27-year-old Smith was arrested in LA County around 1:00AM. Cops believe he was under the influence of marijuana at the time of his arrest -- and we're told they also found a stash of hash ... a type of marijuana.

Smith, best known for his role as little Mark Taylor, is still in custody ... currently being booked for the DUI and the drug possession, which is a felony.

Sources tell us ... Smith was behind the wheel of his 1998 silver Honda Accord, which was parked at an angle in front of a fire hydrant when an officer decided to investigate the situation.

We're told the officer smelled a "strong odor" of weed and believed Smith was under the influence.

Bruno Mars FREE AT LAST!!!

Bruno Mars is clean as a whistle ... his cocaine possession charge has just been dismissed.

TMZ first reported ... Bruno completed 230 hours of community service after pleading guilty to the charge -- he exceeded the 200 hours required by the judge. Bruno also finished his drug ed classes per the judge's order.

As a result, his lawyer, Blair Berk, appeared in a Las Vegas court a few minutes ago and the matter is officially erased from Bruno's record.

Berk told TMZ, "Bruno earned the dismissal of his charge. He exceeded the expectations of the court in both his service to the community and his counseling."

Bruno was arrested in 2010 after a bathroom attendant at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino told hotel security someone was doing coke in a stall.

FYI -- the Las Vegas Deputy District Attorney who first prosecuted Bruno was not in court today -- he was FIRED last year after officials learned the guy had a serious cocaine problem of his own.

Bruno Mars will have a spotless criminal record tomorrow ... because sources tell us the judge in his cocaine possession case will officially dismiss the charge.

You'll recall Mars was arrested in Las Vegas in September, 2010 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino after a bathroom attendant told security a man was doing coke in one of the stalls.

Mars pled guilty, but he was not convicted. The judge deferred the matter and gave Bruno a year to complete 200 hours of community service and attend drug education classes.

We've learned Mars has exceeded the number of required community service hours -- he's logged more than 230 hours, working for children's charities as well as some health-related charities. And he has completed his classes.

So tomorrow ... the judge will officially dismiss the cocaine charge. Bruno's lawyer, Blair Berk, will appear on his behalf, and just like magic the charge will go away.

Kate Major INSANE Police Report -- Calls Cop a 'Fat F**k'

Kate Major is a racist, boob-punching, foul-mouthed, cop-assaulting criminal ... if you believe the police report filed after her arrest in Boca Raton this weekend.

It's insane -- according to the report, obtained by TMZ, cops were called to an apartment parking lot around 9:45 PM on Saturday night ... after Michael Lohan's ex-GF was observed beating the crap out of a man and his wife.

Cops say ... when they arrived to the scene, Major was being restrained on the ground by several people who saw her attack Rosario Tapia and Juan Jimenez.

The officer who wrote the police report explained, 'I attempted to speak with Major, who was screaming and yelling obscenities at Tapia, calling her a 'fat f**k' and a 'b*tch'."

Jimenez told police ... he has NO IDEA why he and his wife were attacked ... but explained he and Tapia pulled into the parking lot and noticed someone had parked in their assigned space. So they were waiting for another spot to open ... when Major came bolting towards the car out of nowhere.

Jimenez claims Major opened the door and went crazy -- calling him and his wife "several racial names" before Major attacked his wife in the hands, breast and face.

When cops tried to arrest Major, police say she resisted arrest and tried to kick the officers.

Major was eventually arrested for battery and transported to a nearby jail -- where she was an EVEN BIGGER pain in the ass, according to the report.

Cops say she yelled at police -- and tried to make a break for it. At one point, cops say, she slapped the arresting officer and called him a "fat f**k."

She was later charged with resisting arrest with violence and battery on a police officer.

Major has since been released from custody ... but it sounds like this situation is far from over.

Flo Rida No Jail in Bugatti DUI Case

Flo Rida just scored big in his DUI case -- TMZ has learned, the rapper struck a sweet deal with prosecutors that will land him in a classroom ... rather than a jail cell.

As TMZ first reported ... Flo -- real name Tramar Dillard -- was busted in Miami Beach back in June on suspicion of DUI inside his million-dollar Bugatti. At the time, cops said Flo's blood alcohol level was .185 ... more than twice the legal limit.

But an attorney for Mr. Rida was in court today -- and got the judge to send Flo to a first-time offenders program instead of the slammer ... a thing called "Back on Track," which entails a bunch of stuff like substance abuse classes, counseling, community service, and drug testing.

Under the deal ... if Flo completes all the program requirements, prosecutors will knock the DUI charge down to a lesser charge -- reckless driving. Not bad.

Charlie & Brooke's Kids Daddy to the Rescue

Charlie Sheen has returned from Colombia -- and TMZ has learned, he's now on a mission to save his kids ... after mommy Brooke Mueller was arrested for cocaine possession last week.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ, Brooke had custody of the 2-year-old twins the night of her arrest -- leaving them in the care of a nanny while she went out clubbing.

Brooke and the kids are currently on their way back from Aspen now -- but we're told, Charlie plans to take care of them as soon as they're home ... and Brooke's parents will help.

According to sources, Brooke's going to take some time for herself while she tries to "get better."

Brooke has struggled with substance abuse issues for years -- and most recently sought addiction help at an alternative treatment facility in Mexico.

Cornel West Arrested in NYC Disorderly Conduct

Famed political activist Cornel West -- a frequent guest on "Real Time with Bill Maher" -- was arrested in NYC this morning for disorderly conduct ... TMZ has learned.

Cops tell TMZ ... West and approximately 30 others were arrested for blocking the entrance to a police station in Harlem during a protest.

According to RT.com, West and company were demonstrating against the New York Police Department’s continuing "Stop and Frisk" policy, claiming NYPD officers should NOT be able to search protesters without due cause.

"Operation Hackerazzi" FBI Makes Arrest in Celeb Phone-Hacking Case

The FBI has arrested one person suspected of hacking into the phones of Hollywood stars like Scarlett Johansson and Vanessa Hudgens ... and leaking private photos. And, we've learned, the FBI is convinced the guy is a lone wolf, who never got a cent for the pictures he stole ... he just did it for the thrill.

Law enforcement sources tell us the man is from Florida, and the FBI has known about him for several months, but the U.S. Attorney didn't take action until now.

Our sources say the man hacked into numerous celebrity phones and then distributed the ill-gotten photos to third parties, never asking for any money. He did it because he got a charge out of it.

The FBI says the investigation was dubbed, "Operation Hackerazzi."

So far, the identity of the suspect has not been released.

Among the stars who claim they were victimized by the hacker -- Ali Larter, Jessica Alba and Emma Caulfield.

'Swamp People' Star When a Man Hits a Woman ... Allegedly

"Swamp People" troublemaker Nicholas Payne allegedly battered a FEMALE cop on the night he was arrested ... and then tried to escape into the woods ... this according to Louisiana police.

TMZ has learned ... the 26-year old gator huntin' apprentice was arrested last month for allegedly striking a female police officer in the chest ... while she was trying to write him a citation for disturbing the peace at a private home.

Law enforcement officials tell us Payne tried to run off into the woods after the attack ... so a K-9 unit was dispatched to find him.

We're told one of the dogs located Payne ... and bit the guy so hard, the reality star had to be taken to a nearby hospital so doctors could treat the wound.

Cops say Payne's injury has since healed up.

Payne is still behind bars -- because he has not paid his $10,000 bail.

Wrestler Matt Hardy Another DUI Arrest 'He Almost Hit Two Drivers'

More trouble for ex-WWE champ Matt Hardy -- the 36-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence in North Carolina this week ... the second time in the last couple of weeks.

According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ ... cops received a complaint of a "possible drunk driver" late Monday afternoon ... who almost "hit two drivers three separate times."

When the cop spotted Hardy, the wrestler's car, "swerved into the curb and then back onto the road."

Once Hardy was pulled over, the officer claims Hardy "had slow and slurred speech, sleepy eyes and a very lackadaisical demeanor."

According to the report, Hardy took the walk-the-line test -- but "after taking two steps, Mr. Hardy lost his balance and failed to stay on the line."

Hardy took a breathalyzer -- but when the results showed he wasn't drunk ... cops called in a "Drug Recognition Officer" to perform even more tests.

Eventually, cops believed Hardy was under the influence of something ... and arrested him on the spot.

Hardy is scheduled to appear in court on November 30.

Daryl Hannah ARRESTED at White House

Daryl Hannah donned a familiar accessory outside the White House today -- HANDCUFFS -- after she was arrested during an oil pipeline protest.

The actress-turned-activist was busted with several other protesters -- when they sat on the sidewalk in front of the White House and ignored three requests by police to move.

Daryl's an old pro when it comes to getting arrested -- saying, " Sometimes it's necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom. And we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future."

Hannah was famously arrested after she stopped traffic in West Virginia in 2009 -- blocking a busy street during a protest over mining practices.
