Selena Gomez trató de hablar sobre Israel/Palestina, pero terminó diciendo un montón de ideas difusas, ahora, su compañía parece estar aclarando cuál es su posición.

La compañía de la cantante y actriz, Rare Beauty, de la que es fundadora y presidenta, acaba de publicar un extenso comunicado sobre la guerra en Oriente Medio y al parecer, se inclinan más a favor de Palestina.

La cuenta de Instagram de Rare Beauty publicó una foto con las palabras "Crisis humanitaria en Gaza" superpuestas debajo. Así que sí, solo eso ya te dice cómo ven las cosas.

La empresa deja claro que no aprueba ni apoya lo que está pasando en el lado palestino de esta situación y saben que Israel se mueve en la zona tratando de acabar con Hamás.

Por supuesto, ha habido un montón de víctimas en el camino, y ahí es donde Rare Beauty traza la línea, diciendo: "Miles de civiles palestinos inocentes han muerto en ataques aéreos israelíes y millones de civiles han sido desplazados y sin acceso a alimentos, agua, medicamentos o necesidades básicas para la supervivencia. Un gran número de estas víctimas son niños. Hay que proteger a los civiles palestinos y punto".

La empresa continúa: "Seguimos con el corazón roto por el horrible ataque terrorista contra civiles inocentes en Israel el siete de octubre, muchos de ellos también niños. No hay ninguna situación en la que los ataques contra civiles sean aceptables. Denunciamos enérgicamente todas y cada una de las formas de antisemitismo e islamofobia".

Aquí, están reconociendo la matanza de 1.400 israelíes y diciendo que los ataques contra civiles están mal. Sin embargo, parece que se están centrando en Palestina en ese sentido.

Selena Gomez tried speaking on Israel-Palestine -- but ended up saying a whole lot of nothing/getting dragged ... but now, her company seems to be clarifying where she stands.

The singer-actress's very own Rare Beauty -- of which she is the founder and chairwoman -- just posted a lengthy statement on the war in the Middle East ... and right off the bat, it seems like they're leaning way more pro-Palestine here.

Rare Beauty's IG account threw up a photo of a maroon square with the words "Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza" superimposed below. So, yes -- that alone tells you how they view things.

Their caption is a mouthful, and they certainly try to walk the line ... but even there, RB makes clear that they do not condone or support what's going on on the Palestinian side of this situation -- namely, Israel moving in to the area and trying to snuff out Hamas.

Of course ... there've been a lot of casualties along the way, and that's where Rare Beauty draws the line -- saying, "Thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes & millions of civilians have been displaced & left without access to food, water, medicine, or basic necessities for survival. A large number of these victims are children. Palestinian civilians must be protected, period."

The company continues ... "We remain heartbroken by the horrible terror attack against innocent civilians in Israel on October 7th, many of them also children. There is no situation where attacks on civilians are acceptable. We strongly denounce any & all forms of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia."

Here, they're acknowledging the slaughter of 1,400 Israelis ... and saying that attacks on civilians are wrong. However, at this point, it seems they're focusing on Palestine in that regard.

What's interesting about Rare Beauty's stance here is that it seems to be a much more clear message than what Selena initially posted last week ... when she attempted to wade into the controversy, but caught a lot of flak by seemingly putting the focus on herself.

She did say that she doesn't stand for any act of hate -- but it was a little vague on which side of the aisle she was saying that for. Now, Rare Beauty is clarifying ... it's both sides.

But, what can't be denied is that they feel like Israel's response is overboard at this point -- evidenced by what they characterize as a crisis in Gaza. That echoes the mass demonstrations taking place all over the country right now ... most of which are pro-Palestine.

While Selena might've had a hard time communicating her feelings, her LLC stepped in and appears to have spoken on her behalf. You know they wouldn't post this without her sign-off.

Doc Antle is facing potential prison time -- 'cause the guy cut a deal with the feds in his criminal case ... pleading guilty to charges of sneaking around animals and conspiring to launder money.

The 'Tiger King' star pled guilty Monday to one count of a wildlife trafficking charge and another count of a conspiracy to launder money ... both of which carry a max penalty of 5 years behind bars, a fine up to $250k and 3 years of supervised release.

It remains to be seen what the judge will ultimately sentence him to ... hizzoner is gonna review a report from the U.S. Probation Office in making that determination.

As we reported ... this whole thing stems from a bust last summer, when FBI agents hauled Antle into custody after he'd been indicted. The indictment alleged Doc engaged in an elaborate scheme to traffic wildlife dating back many years.

Long story short ... prosecutors said Doc concealed financial transactions related to animal trafficking and profited from it over the years.

Among the allegations, prosecutors claimed Doc had directed the sale of some cheetah cubs, lion cubs, tigers and a chimp ... allegedly using bulk payments to hide the transactions and falsifying paperwork. The feds also claimed he tried using his nonprofit in these sales as a way to make them look like donations.

Por cierto, el cuadro ya tenía antecedentes de vandalismo. Ya en 1914, la sufragista Mary Richardson rajó la obra de arte de la "mujer más bella del mundo" por a) la desnudez representada por la mirada masculina y b) para hacer una declaración política tras la detención de su compatriota, Emmeline Pankhurst que presionó para que las mujeres obtuvieran el voto.

Recuerde, este mismo grupo se ha labrado una reputación como destructores de arte. Han ido por ahí salpicando pintura y sopa en otras pinturas famosas en Europa y siempre usan las mismas camisetas fácilmente reconocibles.

Anti-oil protestors hit the gas on their latest display of environmental activism ... breaking through a glass ceiling of sorts ... or a pricey glass-covered painting, is more like it.

This wild display of a demonstration went down Monday at London's National Gallery -- which was housing the Diego Velázquez painting you see here ... getting absolutely crushed by a couple of Just Stop Oil advocates, who have a history of destroying art to make their point.

In this case, they were caught red-handed yet again ... only this time, instead of making a mess by splashing some crap on a painting -- they decided to just hammer away.

Watch ... this guy and gal -- who are proudly rocking their JSO shirts -- go to town on the glass cover of this Velázquez artwork, which is known as the Rokeby Venus. It doesn't look like they were able to get to the actual painting underneath, but they crushed the exterior.

London's Metro Police confirm the two activists were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage ... but there's more than just suspicion here, the evidence is clear and damning.

BTW, the painting already had some history of being vandalized. Back in 1914, suffragette Mary Richardson slashed the artwork of the "most beautiful woman in the world" for a) the nudity depicted by the male gaze and b) to make a political statement following the arrest of her compatriot, Emmeline Pankhurst .. who pushed for women to get the vote.

Remember, this same group has carved a rep for itself as art destroyers. They've gone around splashing paint and soup at other famous paintings there in Europe ... and each time, they're always wearing these same easily recognizable tees.

You'd think these museum security guards would wise up and stop letting them in.

Dee-1 and Rick Ross have been engaged in a war of words on IG for days ... all stemming from Dee's open disapproval of Rozay's new "Shaq & Kobe" collab with Meek Mill.

The "Uno" rapper recently appeared on Sway's Universe ... where Dee called out Ross, Meek and Jim Jones for still glorifying killing people in their music after so many hip hop artists have been slain.

Dee lumped Meek, Jim and Rozay into a category he calls "DGs" -- aka disappointing grown-ups, and told a story of how he once spearheaded a shoe giveaway in his New Orleans hometown for Meek's Reform Alliance ... speaking to the movement's strength.

Meek claimed 1st Amendment for his part but Ross didn't take too kindly and dissed Dee for questioning his place in the community, citing his Thanksgiving turkey drives and other contributions for 20 straight years across Miami-Dade!!!

Dee took Ross' "baskethead" snipes in stride but explained to the MMG rapper he was actually criticizing his status as a Hip Hop OG who's still detailing graphic murders like he did on the "Shaq & Kobe" track.

Dee also explained to Rozay that he wasn't clout-chasing ... he's collaborated with several of Rozay's peers and has a long track record of giving back himself, although that wasn't the point of the debate.

Homer Simpson is done strangling his son, Bart, and it all has to do with modern sentiments, it seems -- a decision by showrunners that's strongly dividing fans.

The pivot away from child abuse (albeit, in animated form) is just now making the rounds -- coming to in the 3rd episode of Season 35, titled 'McMansion & Wife,' in which HS meets his new neighbor ... and declares that he won't be choking his cartoon son anymore.

The way this becomes revealed is through a handshake, which the neighbor points out as firm -- and then Homer responds ... "See, Marge, strangling the boy paid off." He then follows up and says ... "Just kidding, I don’t do that anymore. Times have changed."

Fans took this to be a not-so-subtle hint from Disney -- which owns the 'Simpsons' IP now -- that they were retiring the long-running gag ... which has been a staple joke for years.

Before this episode ... the new masters of 'The Simpsons' had actually already toyed with the idea of Homer evolving and refraining from strangling Bart ... with Season 22 featuring Homer going to therapy and learning the harm he was causing by attacking his son.

However, in the seasons since ... HS has choked Bart on and off, and the last time he did it in the show was back in 2019/2020. Now, however, it seems like the creators are acknowledging ... it's over for good.

The actor posted a lengthy video on Instagram, in which he torches his own flesh and blood for her mostly pro-Palestine stance ... where she called for a ceasefire, and condemned Israel's bombing campaign in Gaza.

JV says Israel is in the midst of war, and that their retaliation, by nature, will be ugly ... which he believes is justified due to the Oct. 7 terrorist attack carried out by Hamas.

As Jon puts it ... he says he's disappointed with Angie for "having no understanding of God's honor, God's truths" -- going on to call Israel's response in Gaza "justice for God's children in the Holy land. He also says this conflict can't be civil now ... it's gone too far for that.

Jon also points out a tactic that many military strategists say Hamas uses in burrowing itself among innocent Palestinians -- namely, using human shields to defend themselves.

Bottom line ... Jon is very much pro-Israel, and is nowhere near calling for peace like AJ. FWIW, JV's words here are probably falling on deaf ears ... he's estranged from his kid.

As far as his point, though ... the bodies are piling up in Gaza -- well over 9,000 now by many estimations -- and Israel is facing increased scrutiny for their cause. More and more U.S. politicians are calling for a "pause" ... including President Joe Biden and his staff.

Thousands upon thousands descended onto our nation's capital this weekend to decry the Israel-Palestine war ... eventually hitting the White House to make their voices heard.

A massive protest formed in Washington D.C. Saturday, with upwards of a hundred thousand (if not more) pro-Palestine demonstrators marching through the streets of the city and calling for an immediate ceasefire -- while also consistently yelling "Free Palestine!"

It's one of the largest such gatherings that has taken place since the conflict kicked off last month -- and it's quite clear they don't think our government is on the right side of history here, including President Joe Biden ... whose name was front and center the whole time.

That became abundantly clear when a huge group of protesters eventually landed at the White House -- or at the front gate rather ... which keeps onlookers quite a ways away.

Still, they certainly made their presence known ... so much so, that it attracted the attention of Secret Service agents -- who came out onto the lawn and made sure nobody breached the gate and made their way onto the grounds, and by the looks of it ... no one did.

Nonetheless ... the protest at the White House got a little scary, especially when a handful of people actually scaled the gate and waved Palestinian flags ... without ever going over. There were also chants of "F*** Joe Biden" that could be heard, as well as "Allahu Akbar" ... an Arabic phrase that is the cornerstone of the Islam faith, meaning "God is most great."

The reactions to the protest are divided, and really come down to how folks feel about the Middle East conflict right now -- those who are pro-Palestine saw it as righteous and needed ... whereas others viewed it as a startling move that potentially portends worse to come.

Either way ... these people were out there making their voices heard -- and while there are reports of a smattering of arrests here and there, it looks to have remained mostly peaceful.

Part of the reason the pro-Palestine protest might've made its way to D.C. is because of how the U.S. is responding to the ongoing ground operation being conducted by Israel ... which continues to move its way through Gaza in search of the Hamas terrorists and hostages.

Of course, it goes without saying ... as they've attempted to root out Hamas, there have been many civilian casualties along the way -- with Palestinian officials saying the body count on their end is nearing the 5-digit mark ... something that has drawn concern from some of Israel's allies, including the U.S.

Reports say American officials, including Sec. of State Anthony Blinken, are quietly asking Israel to hit pause -- but it doesn't sound like Benjamin Netanyahu is heeding his request.

This sentiment against Israel is growing and becoming more popular with celebs as well -- more and more high-profile people are demanding Israel stop their campaign ... insisting their response is disproportionate now, and is claiming too many innocents in the process.

Macklemore is among those stars who's been speaking out -- in fact, he was there in D.C. Saturday and spoke to a group of demonstrators in an impassioned speech ... in which he called what Israel is doing in Gaza "genocide," and that got a big cheer from the crowd.

The issue has become incredibly divisive in the States ... but as the weeks drag on, we're seeing more and more people hitting the streets -- and they're often pro-Palestine.

Like we said ... Israel, thus far, is sticking to its guns on their mission. They feel they have every right to move in and exact justice over the 1,400 innocent Israelis who were butchered.

Barack Obama spoke out about the conflict between Israel and Palestine -- and he says two things must be acknowledged as true ... on both sides of this thorny issue.

The former President was recently speaking at an event, and his remarks were captured by Pod Save America -- which says his full interview is coming out Tuesday. But from the snippet they released, BO says quite a bit ... and fully admits, this is complicated.

Take a look for yourself to see what exactly he says ... essentially, he condemns Hamas and the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel -- but in the same breath, condemns Israel's response.

He says there are innocent people in Gaza who've been wrapped up in this that have nothing to do with Hamas ... and yet, also notes the history of Jews being segregated/persecuted over their identity as a people. In other words, there's validity in each POV here.

In terms of folks debating this problem, Obama says it can't be hashed out on social media -- and it can't be solved unless everybody tells the "whole truth" about a complex topic.

He also says people have to learn to speak to others on the opposite end and be able to do so civilly ... and encourages everyone to see that there's complicity on all fronts of this. It's a word salad, but if you're wondering what he's actually arguing for now ... you're outta luck.

Barack doesn't really say what he thinks should happen going forward, nor does he specify what exactly he's calling for at this point ... at least not in what's uploaded at the moment. Perhaps we'll hear more from him in the coming days.

Jacob Elordi's turn as Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola's new movie is getting a lot of head-turns -- and that's probably 'cause he method-acted his way into the role ... with pig skin.

The Aussie actor recently revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he immersed himself into the character in a very unique way ... namely, by stuffing his face with bacon -- and a helluva lot of it, too.

During the roundtable, Coppola noted that Elordi ate a lot of pork strips on set -- which JE confirmed ... pointing out he would apparently down about a pound a day while working.

Seems this technique stemmed from something Priscilla Presley herself told them about her late ex-hubby and his grub of choice. Now, as for how all this bacon gorging affected Jake ... he says he got quite heavy, although he's fortunate enough that it never really showed.

It's interesting ... Elordi's approach to method acting (basically, clogging his arteries just like Elvis, it seems) significantly differs from Austin Butler's -- who continued using his Elvis voice well after cameras had stopped rolling.

AB's commitment to the schtick was praised by some ... and ridiculed by others.

Funny enough ... it sounds like Elordi's take might actually be more accurate to EP himself -- at least according to Coppola, who (in this same EW sit-down) says Priscilla told her after one of the screenings that JE's voice sounded just like Elvis did once upon a time.

The flick, 'Priscilla,' is getting rave reviews on all fronts ... but it's not without its controversy. Whereas the Butler film was a glossy Wikipedia slide through the King's life -- this project focuses more on Elvis and Priscilla's relationship ... and how they came together.

It's a little messy -- Elvis courted Priscilla while she was a teen, and there's been a lot of side-eye in 2023 over it -- something the late Lisa Marie Presley protested before she died.

In any case, the film is out in theaters now ... and there's been a lot of commentary.

Elvis' estate doesn't like Coppola's characterization of the icon either, FWIW -- but Priscilla herself has been on board from day one. This whole thing is literally based on her memoir.

Durante la mesa redonda, Coppola señaló que Elordi comía un montón de tiras de carne de cerdo en el set, lo que el actor confirmó señalando que al parecer bajaba alrededor de una libra al día mientras trabajaba.

Parece que esta técnica surgió de algo que la propia Priscilla Presley les contó sobre su difunto exmarido y su comida preferida. Ahora, en cuanto a cómo todo este tocino atiborrándose afectó a Jake, dice que se puso bastante pesado, aunque tiene la suerte de que nunca se notó realmente.

Es interesante, pues el enfoque de Elordi para interpretar al cantante (básicamente, la obstrucción de sus arterias, al igual que como lo hizo Elvis, al parecer) difiere significativamente de la estrategia de Austin Butler, que continuó utilizando su voz de Elvis mucho después de que las cámaras dejaran de rodar.

El compromiso de Austin Butler con su actuación fue elogiado por algunos y ridiculizado por otros.

Curiosamente, parece que la interpretación de Elordi podría ser más precisa que la del propio Elvis Presley, al menos según Coppola, quien (en esta misma entrevista con EW) dice que Priscilla le dijo después de una de las proyecciones que la voz de Jacob sonaba igual a la de Elvis.

Priscilla está recibiendo críticas muy favorables, pero no está exenta de polémica. Mientras que la película de Butler era una brillante diapositiva de Wikipedia sobre la vida del Rey, este proyecto se centra más en la relación de Elvis y Priscilla y cómo llegaron a estar juntos.

Es un poco complicado. Elvis cortejó a Priscilla cuando ella era una adolescente y ha habido un montón de ojos sobre ello en el último tiempo, algo que la difunta Lisa Marie Presley protestó antes de morir.

En cualquier caso, la película está en los cines ahora y está recibiendo un montón de comentarios.

A los herederos de Elvis tampoco les gusta la caracterización que Coppola hace del icono, pero la propia Priscilla ha estado de acuerdo desde el primer día. Todo el filme se basa literalmente en sus memorias.

The "Real Time" host basically thinks the growing movement in America justifying what Hamas did to Israel is absurd. If they support Hamas, BM posits, then they're okay with domestic violence, homophobia, child marriage and on and on, because that's that's the Hamas playbook.

Bill's not railing on Palestinians ... there's plenty of evidence the majority do NOT support Hamas, he's comparing the terrorism at the core of Hamas to the guardrails and freedoms that have been the core of Western civilization for centuries -- freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to a fair trial, women's rights, and on and on. Oh, and in Western civilization, there IS such a thing as a war crime.

Maher sees it this way ... "Western civ" for progressives and academics is shorthand for "white people ruin everything."
