INSIDE AMY SCHUMER'S PROTEST

Animal rights protesters blasted Amy Schumer at her NYC book signing for her decision to sport fur -- but Amy says they've got the wrong idea about her wardrobe.

This pissed off group busted into the Barnes & Noble where Amy was holding court ... toting signs and shouting at her for wearing a coat this past winter made by Canada Goose -- a company the protesters claim engages in animal cruelty.

Check out the video we got -- Amy tries to calm them down by being playful, but they didn't back down. Security eventually tossed 'em.

A rep for Amy tells TMZ the whole thing was unfortunate ... especially since the protesters didn't hear her out. The rep says Amy got the jacket as a gift, and once she learned about allegations Canada Goose harms animals ... she hasn't worn it since.

Rapper Burberry Perry Judge Buries Name ... For Now

Rapper Burberry Perry might need a new stage name after losing BIG in court -- a judge is ordering him to drop the famous handle ... for the time being.

TMZ broke the story ... Burberry -- the famous luxury apparel line -- sued Perry for jacking the name and using the company's plaid pattern and equestrian knight logo on his album cover.

Perry hasn't lost the case yet -- it's ongoing, but Burberry claimed their brand was being damaged right now, and the judge granted its request for a preliminary injunction. This means Perry has to scrub Burberry from all his social media and remove all references to "Burberry Perry" from his songs.

Perry's taken at least one step -- right after we broke the story, he announced on Twitter he'll be known as The Good Perry.

Tenn. Titans Linebacker Tribute to 9/11 Victims With Patriotic Cleats

Published | Updated

When Tennessee Titans linebacker Avery Williamson takes the field on Sept. 11th ... he'll be playing with a special set of cleats created to honor those who passed on 9/11.

The NFL regular season happens to begin on the 15 year anniversary of the terror attacks -- and many of the players are planning to pay tribute to the victims, first responders and other people affected by the tragedy.

One of those players is Williamson -- who approached cleat customizer Billy Hobbs at True Blue Customs and asked for a special design ... and Hobbs came through strong.

Hobbs airbrushed a pair of Nike Vapors to resemble the American flag, and added the words "Never Forget" and "9/11" to the back of each cleat.

Several NFL players have talked about playing on 9/11 -- including NY Jets center Nick Mangold -- who previously said, "It is truly an honor to open the season at home, at MetLife Stadium, on the 15th anniversary of 9/11."

"I know that will be an emotional time for everyone, as it was (on the 10th anniversary) in 2011."

Trump Tower Climber Tom Cruise and I Have the Same Sole

Published | Updated

The Trump Tower climber and Tom Cruise have one thing in common -- the same taste in shoes.

Five Ten tells TMZ its climbing shoe -- the Rogue VCS 5.10 worn by the man who scaled 21 floors Wednesday -- has seen greater heights with a bigger star and a law-abiding citizen ... Tom Cruise.

The company says it designed the shoes Tom wore in "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" specifically for the scene where his character climbs the Burj Khalifa in the United Arab Emirates -- the tallest structure in the world.

The Trump climber bought 'em in blue, and viewers took notice -- cause Five Ten tells us its online sales have spiked since the wannabe Spider-Man went all daredevil in Manhattan.

But the shoe company's crystal clear -- climbing Trump's or anyone else's building is not the way to meet him ... or, frankly, anyone.

Dallas Police Org. To NFL Upset Over Rejected Decals 'It Hurts You Don't Support Us'

Published | Updated

A Dallas police organization says the NFL should reconsider rejecting the Cowboys' request to honor fallen cops with a helmet decal this season ... telling TMZ Sports "We are extremely upset by their decision."

We spoke to Sergeant Demetrick Pennie, president of the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation, who tells us the league should use its platform to support their cause.

"The NFL had an opportunity to be leaders and advocates for change in law enforcement," Pennie says.

"These teams and players have a spotlight on them and could have helped bring awareness. If a uniform policy is keeping them from this, then why don’t they have every team wear the decals?"

Pennie says he appreciates the Cowboys' attempt, saying "they understand the sacrifices these officers made and we're happy they wanted to honor these heroes.”

"These are our friends and our loved ones ... it hurts to not have the NFL fully support us."

Kesha is about to be reunited with her precious tiger jacket after it was stolen out of her dressing room this weekend ... and the culprit has a very fishy explanation.

The singer went to social media Monday night and begged her fans to help find the jacket -- and said it's so important to her, she'll kiss whoever finds it "on the f***ing mouth."

Well, the social media APB worked -- because sources close to Kesha tell us she was contacted by a person who said they have the jacket and wanted to return it.

So, how'd they get it?

The person insists they "accidentally" took it from the dressing room ... and didn't mean any harm.

Yeah right.

Bottom line -- we're told Kesha is pumped to get it back and isn't planning on going to the cops.

No word if she still plans on delivering that mouth kiss.

Mensa and crew were pulled over Thursday by BHPD as the rapper ended a shopping spree. He says he dropped $4k at Barneys. You can see in the video Vic shot ... he's dumbfounded by the whole thing and thinks it's straight up racism.

BHPD says that's not the case ... a spokesman tells TMZ they got a call from a store owner who accused Vic and his crew of jacking some merch.

Cops initiated the traffic stop, spoke with Vic, searched his vehicle and determined nothing had been stolen. The whole thing took about half an hour.

As pissed as Vic was, he's moving on ... no talk of a lawsuit, and cops insist they did exactly what they're supposed to do.
