Coroner Back At Arnie Klein's Office
An official from the L.A. County Coroner's office has just returned to Dr. Arnold Klein's office in Beverly Hills to retrieve more files in the Michael Jackson case.
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter just told our photog he was there for more MJ medical files.
UPDATE: Winter has left, but wouldn't comment on whether or not anything was taken from Klein's office.
Dr. Klein's lawyer briefly addressed the press after Winter left, saying a subpoena was served but Winter wasn't looking for documents -- instead he wanted more information about docs the coroner's office had already seized. Dr. Klein's lawyer said they cooperated fully with Winter's requests.

MJ Burial Could Cost Jacksons a Pretty Penny
Throwing a memorial service for Michael Jackson is a lot cheaper when you trade the Staples Center for the more traditional places to honor the dead.
Law enforcement sources tell us the cost of providing police and other city services for the private memorial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale could top $50,000. That's like a Costco version of a memorial, compared to the estimated $1.4 million to stage the event at the Staples Center in L.A.
A Glendale PD source tells us the Jackson family will foot the bill for police and other services associated with the service, which will be held on August 29.

Dr. Conrad Murray Speaks
Dr. Conrad Murray put himself on video, thanking people for their support. We're assuming that does not include Michael Jackson's family, who believes Dr. Murray is responsible for the singer's death -- a feeling apparently shared by authorities.
The video was shot last Wednesday in Houston and arranged by the publicist for Dr. Murray's lawyer. Yes, the publicist for Dr. Murray's lawyer. Welcome to Houston.

MJ's Final Resting Place -- No Visitors, Please
If you're planning on going to Michael Jackson's burial site at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and dropping off some flowers, think again -- the mausoleum where he's being buried on August 29 isn't open to the public.
The Great Mausoleum -- where stars like Clark Gable and Jean Harlow were laid to rest -- is considered a private area, where only property owners and family members are allowed to go. It's monitored by security cameras to catch any trespassers who snoop around.
Graceland, it is not.

Jackson Bros Carry Casket One More Time
Randy Jackson just confirmed to TMZ that he and his brothers will serve as pallbearers at Michael Jackson's burial service.
Here's the message we just received straight from Randy -- " I will be there ... and yes the brothers will carry him from the hearse to the front of the mausoleum."
Randy, his brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon were the pallbearers at the Staples Center Memorial last month.
Now, the family is preparing for the private burial which is set to take place August 29 at Glendale Forest Lawn -- on what would have been Michael's 51st birthday.

Michael Jackson Merchandise Hearing
The lawyer for Michael Jackson's kids is set to appear in court for the first time today, as lawyers for the estate and Katherine Jackson's lawyers try to reach an agreement on merchandising all things Michael.
UPDATE 7:10 PM -- And we're done for the day. Biggest headline -- the judge has approved a major Jackson merchandising deal, but there is still one more deal (with AEG for a Jackson memorabilia tour) to be decided upon.
UPDATE 7:03 PM -- The judge has set an evidentiary hearing for Friday -- so the AEG deal won't be approved (or denied) until then.
UPDATE 6:45 PM -- An attorney for AEG says the company wants the deal taken care of this week.
UPDATE 6:41 PM -- And we're back on the record.
UPDATE 6:34 PM -- The judge has ordered a short recess in the hopes all sides can reach an agreement on the AEG deal today.
Michael Jackson's Doc Sued for Eviction
Dr. Arnold Klein -- Michael Jackson's doctor for decades -- has been sued for eviction from his Beverly Hills medical offices.
According to the documents, filed August 6 in L.A. County Superior Court, Dr. Klein failed to pay July rent, totaling $28,515.69. The lawsuit alleges the owners of the building gave Klein the first 5 days of August to make good on his rent, but the doc didn't, so the landlord sued for eviction.
But Dr. Klein redeemed himself. The landlord's lawyer told us Dr. Klein paid the back rent on August 10 and the landlord's lawyer will dismiss the case this week.
The L.A. County Coroner has requested files from Dr. Klein on Michael Jackson's treatments at his office.
No word on why the landlord was all business with a long-term client and moved so quickly to file legal papers.
As for Dr. Klein, we left word with his lawyer but so far no comment.

Michael Jackson's Deep Freeze
Michael Jackson has not been buried, multiple family sources tell us. We're told he's above ground at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills and is being kept in a freezer.
We're told Katherine has frequently visited the temporary resting place.
As for where the body is eventually going ... no decision yet. We're told Jermaine is the lone family member who wants Neverland as Michael's final resting place. The rest of the family is appalled by Jermaine's wish, because M.J. hated Neverland after the molestation trial and wanted nothing to do with it.
Increasingly, Jermaine is becoming estranged from the rest of the Jackson brood.

Jackson Doctor Didn't Live at Michael's Place
Sources tell TMZ Dr. Conrad Murray was not living at Michael Jackson's home when the singer died.
As we first reported, paramedics found Jackson in Dr. Murray's room. The doctor had administered Propofol to Jackson while Michael was laid out on the bed.
When EMT workers arrived -- and subsequently when police came on scene -- there was no evidence that the doctor had been staying in the room. There was no luggage, no clothes of Dr. Murray's ... no signs he had been staying there.
Authorities believe Dr. Murray generally showed up in the evenings to administer drugs and left during the day. We're told the doctor had administered Propofol to Jackson in the room numerous times. Essentially the bedroom became a home clinic for Jackson, with drugs -- including Propofol -- hidden in the closet area.
As for where Dr. Murray was staying, law enforcement sources say they have evidence he was living in Santa Monica -- approximately eight miles from Jackson's Holmby Hills home. Interestingly, Nicole Alvarez -- the woman who bore Dr. Murray's 7th child -- lives in a Santa Monica apartment.

Jackson Family Shut Out of Jermaine's Plans
Jermaine Jackson is learning a hard lesson -- the Jackson family doesn't take kindly to kinfolk who make promises on their behalf without even bothering to tell them.
You know the big flap over the Vienna Tribute concert -- where Jermaine was spearheading a special show and touting that members of Michael Jackson's family were behind it? Well family sources tell us the family is ticked that Jermaine used them to sell tickets. The family, we're told, never agreed to participate. In fact, Tito told us he was never even invited.
The family isn't happy with J.J. because the concert may now be in jeopardy and stories are being written that the brood caused the concert to crumble.
Bottom line -- Jermaine was out on his own (again) pitching his stuff and the family was out of the loop.

Search in Jackson Case -- Smoking Gun?
We've obtained the search warrant used to raid the Las Vegas pharmacy that Dr. Conrad Murray has used in the past, and there appears to be a direct link between the doctor and Propofol ... and there may be a link to Michael Jackson as well.
The documents show authorities were looking for credit card receipts and other docs related to drugs purchased by Dr. Murray on May 12, 2009. The warrant then mentions specific vials of Propofol manufactured by Teva and Hospira, Inc.
We've already reported the LAPD found Propofol manufactured by Teva at Jackson's house.
And authorities were looking for FedEx records relating to "the purchase, transfer, receiving, ordering, delivery and storage of Propofol to Dr. Conrad Murray."
Short story ... it looks like authorities believe they know where and when the Propofol that killed Jackson was purchased.
It is unclear whether authorities got the smoking gun they were looking for. The only thing revealed in the documents is that authorities took "copies of misc. paperwork."

Jackson Memorabilia Missing
Some of Michael Jackson's memorabilia is missing and the cops are on the case.
Jackson was in a prolonged legal dispute with a guy named Henry Vaccaro, who got a judgment against the singer in the 90s that Jackson never paid. Vaccaro ended up with a treasure trove of memorabilia, including 60 unreleased master tapes -- which contained 26 of Jackson's songs which have never been heard by the public.
We've been told the dispute between Jackson and Vaccaro lingered and recently Vaccaro agreed to give Jackson 8 items that Michael wanted. We do not know which specific items Jackson flagged.
We're told on July 19, two of Jackson's lawyers went with Vaccaro to the storage locker in Las Vegas where the memorabilia was being stored. According to Vaccaro, 114 items were missing, including the 8 items Jackson's lawyers were there to retrieve.
The items ended up being sold a week later by Clark County Public Auction owner Mario Trabado -- who says he acquired the items legally from a private seller.
Jackson's lawyers were suspicious and believe Vaccaro took the items out of the storage unit. Vaccaro says he removed nothing, and filed a report with the North Las Vegas Police Department.
The PD tells us they're investigating the case.
UPDATE: In a police report filed by Henry on July 31, he claimed over $1 million in losses from the missing items.

Jackson Autopsy Complete -- But Still Secret
The L.A. County Coroner's Office has completed the autopsy on Michael Jackson. The report, which includes cause of death, has been written -- but it is on an indefinite security hold at the request of the LAPD.
Our sources say the LAPD does not want the report released because it could make the investigation into Jackson's death more difficult. We believe the coroner's report will conclude Jackson died at the hands of another and that finding could scare witnesses the LAPD needs to interview.
UPDATE: The LAPD released a statement saying they asked the Coroner's Office to hold off on releasing the results. The LAPD says the "investigation being conducted by the LAPD has included dozens of individual interviews and the service of search warrants locally and out of-state."
