Hockey Star Arrested Over 20 Cent Fight

Published | Updated

Fighting over money is common -- but does $0.20 even count as money?

Two dimes (or four nickels) was allegedly the cause of a fight between NHL star Patrick Kane and a cab driver in Buffalo, NY. According to the Buffalo News, Kane (along with his cousin) were arrested after they allegedly roughed up a cab driver who couldn't give them the required change.

According to a police report obtained by the paper, the Kane boys paid $15 for a $13.80 cab ride -- but became incensed when the cabbie had the dollar bill, but not the coinage, to make change. The cab driver told police he was punched in the face and head, grabbed by the throat and had his glasses broken during the incident.

Both men were charged with second-degree robbery, a Class C felony, as well as fourth-degree criminal mischief and theft of services, both Class A misdemeanors. WIVB-TV says Kane has pled not guilty.

Kane plays for the Chicago Blackhawks but grew up in Buffalo and was in town to announce the funding of a local hockey rink.

'Sandlot' Kid Yeah Yeah, He Needs Money

It sure is expensive fighting charges you beat up your girlfriend -- that's why the guy who played Yeah-Yeah in "The Sandlot" has taken to asking for a little financial help from his friends ... on MySpace.

Marty York was arrested on Easter Sunday for allegedly beating up his girlfriend. He pled not guilty and even showed up to court with his girlfriend, who has forgiven him and stands by him 100%.

He wrote a bulletin on his MySpace that explained his situation, which said in part, "I'm asking anyone on here friends and fans that have supported me through the years or I have helped, to please make a donation, and I promise to anyone that helps I will provide you with a signed autograph and give you a shout on my page."

Sounds like a good deal.

The work included extensive work to the pool -- including the installation of a salt water chlorinator, a heater and lighting.

Both sides are due in court next month.

It's unclear why the lien, which was dug up by The Detroit News, was filed in New Jersey. Kilmer, who is originally from Los Angeles, has been living in New Mexico for the last 20 years.

Cuban No Longer a Marked Man

Published | Updated

Everything is back to normal for Mark Cuban -- his biggest problem is once again the floundering Dallas Mavericks bball organization.

A federal judge dismissed an insider trading lawsuit against Cuban this morning, after Cuban was accused of dumping 600,000 shares in an Internet company in 2004 after receiving a dirty tip. Had Cuban kept the shares, he would have lost $750,000.

Meanwhile, Cuban is still guilty of trading Devin Harris last year.

Abigail Breslin's Zombie Paycheck

Published | Updated

Abigail Breslin got top billing for "Zombieland" on the movie's IMDB page -- but that doesn't mean she's pulling in top dollar.

The 13-year-old's contract -- which is on file with the L.A. County Superior Court -- shows she was paid $100,000 for the flick ... not exactly Cameron Diaz money.

But don't cry for her too much ... Abigail will get bonuses starting at $50,000, depending on how much the movie pulls in.

Here's the deal -- even if the movie bombs, $100,000 is way more than you made at 13 ... and us too.

Lil Wayne Sued Over Sleepiness

Published | Updated

It certainly would have been cheaper to buy an alarm clock. Lil Wayne is being sued for nearly half-a-million bucks for sleeping when he should have been performing.

Red City Entertainment claims it fronted $432,000 for a Wayne concert appearance in the Bahamas. On September 27, 2008, there were plenty of lights and cameras... but no action, because Wayne was passed out in his hotel room. When he didn't show for the performance, cops went to his hotel and found him unconscious.

In the lawsuit filed today, Red City claims it gave Wayne a $210,000 advance. The balance is for his hotel expenses and various costs involved in throwing the failed concert.

Calls to Lil Wayne's rep were not returned.

'Reincarnated' Woman Sues Hefner for $3 Billion

This one is impossible to explain -- really, it is -- but we'll try.

A woman possessed by the "most beautifiliest angel lusefer" and claims to be the "reincarnation of Venus Aphrodite Demilo" has filed a $3 billion lawsuit against Hugh Hefner, suing him for ... well ... it's nearly impossible to tell.

Sheri Allred -- who also calls herself "the biggest hat in the world" -- claims Hefner is a member of a pedophile organization and once hid under her bed when she was five-years-old in order to do naughty things to her.

And that's just the beginning ... seriously, just read it for yourself.

Michael Madsen In Debt to the Rich & Famous

Published | Updated

Nothing ruins a good friendship like money -- so it's safe to say Pierce Brosnan and Quentin Tarantino won't be talking to Michael Madsen anytime soon.

Seems Madsen is in debt to both guys big time. According to bankruptcy documents Madsen filed earlier this month, he owes $25,000 to 007 -- but he's into QT for a cool $1 million!

Pierce and QT shouldn't hold their breath while they wait for the "personal loans" to get paid back -- Madsen is almost a total of $4 million in the hole, and the docs say his net monthly income is $-3,392.

Rita Wilson & Tom Hanks Let it Be

Published | Updated

Tom Hanks is now officially the proud owner of a $75,000 Beatles poster, because his wife has dropped her lawsuit claiming the art was bogus.

Rita Wilson sued Melissa Pearl, claiming the poster from 1962 -- which she bought for Hanks -- never came with the proper authentication.

But Pearl anted up a doc from Sotheby's and Rita now seems satisfied. So the case is history. Long live the Beatles.

A $75,000 poster??? That's Forrest Gump money.

Landlord: Vida Guerra Owes Us Some Booty

Published | Updated

The only people who hate to watch Vida Guerra go and hate to watch her leave are her old landlords -- cause they say she walked out on almost 30k worth of rent.

The lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, claims Vida signed a one year contract for an L.A. apartment back in November of 2008. Rent = $3,250 a month.

The property owner -- SBL, LLC -- not only claims Vida bailed after only three months, but also says she left "stains on the carpets and holes in the walls."

SBL wants a minimum of $35,550 -- no ifs, ands or butts about it.

Lenny Dykstra Explodes Over Rolls

Published | Updated

Baseball legend Lenny Dykstra fired off an angry email to a TMZ staffer -- calling her "a f***ing drama queen" -- all because we had the audacity to ask if his $400,000 car was repossessed.

So it all started Monday afternoon, when we got some pics of Lenny's Rolls-Royce Phantom getting towed from his work in Camarillo, California. Given the recent reports detailing Dykstra's financial woes, we considered the possibility that it was getting repossessed. So we reached out to Lenny to find out what was going on. His eloquent response:

Let you know what? I had the pick-up arranged with Rolls Royce - what do you think we are all doing there at the same time for?

Do you not have anything better to do - you f***ing drama queen! Get a life!

I worked out the pick-up with a VIP at Rolls Royce - I told them where I would be, the time I would be there ..... and now you want to know why? BECAUSE I WASN'T DRIVING TWO HOURS TO BEVERLY HILLS, PERIOD!

Do you not have anything better to do, how did you get the big assignment? You f***ing drama queen! Get a life!

Respectfully,

Lenny K. Dykstra
