The CEO sent a letter to Apple employees announcing his leave of absence. In the letter he says, "I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company."

The letter does not mention a specific medical condition -- but Jobs also took time off early in 2009 when he had liver transplant surgery.

The Prince explained he chose not to tell Zsa Zsa about the procedure because doctors warned him it could raise her blood pressure and make the operation very difficult.

It all happened in Downtown L.A. during a music video shoot with Snoop Dogg, DJ Skee, Ron Artest, and Matt Barnes -- Game was supposed to smash a guitar during the song, but we're told the rapper smashed it a little too hard ... because a jagged guitar piece sliced his finger open like a baked potato.

Game -- real name Jayceon Taylor -- booked it to the hospital as soon as he got the bleeding under control ... and his doctor must have had an awesome sense of humor ... because we're told he left the rapper in stitches.

According to one of Zsa Zsa's doctors, three quarters of her leg was removed during the surgery today -- starting from just above her knee.

We're told there were no unexpected difficulties and she's expected to heal just fine -- but docs are monitoring her closely because of her age.

As we previously reported Zsa Zsa's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, green-lit the procedure to remove a life-threatening infection.

No word yet on when she'll be released.

It happened last night at the West Hollywood apartment building of Lindsay Lohan's daddy.

Michael tells us he noticed the smoke in the early evening, walked outside and saw smoke. He then ran to the extinguisher case, broke through it, cutting his hand ... then ran to the neighbor's apartment to help douse the flames.

Just yesterday in Berlin, Usher ended a concert early ... after apologizing to fans about not being able to sing.

Now, his rep tells us, "After consultation with doctors, he has been advised to reschedule the upcoming dates in order to get the rest he needs to ensure a complete recovery."

It all went down at a movie theater in Jersey -- DiMarco tells TMZ, she was on her way to see "Black Swan" with a friend ... but on her way into the theater, a gust of wind blew open the metal entrance door and nailed her square in the coconut.

DiMarco tells us, the door not only cut open her eyebrow -- it also sliced two nerves in her face ... as well as some muscle tissue.

DiMarco was immediately rushed to the hospital -- where doctors sewed her back together with 20 stitches ... and put her on extra-strength Excedrin.

The 72-year-old singer's husband and son are at odds over who should be in charge of controlling the singer's fortune to pay her costly medical bills.

According to court documents, Etta's husband wants to move more than $1 million into a joint account so he can personally control the spending ... while Etta's son believes the money should be controlled by a third party to "avoid future and present family conflict."

In court documents, Etta's husband claims the main reason he wants control of the cash is to fulfill his wife's wish not to live her final days in a hospital.

Martha was getting ready to leave her NY home Tuesday when she leaned over to "whisper goodbye" to her dozing french bulldog, Francesca. But Martha says she must have "startled" the dog, because Franny shot upwards and hit Martha in the face ... busting her lip open.

Martha says she "felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from [her] split lip."

Unable to stop the bleeding herself, Martha first called police to ask for a ride ... before remembering that she had a driver on standby.

Martha eventually made it to the emergency room -- where she was promptly sewn back up.

Sources tell TMZ Fonda was driving on Sunset Blvd. in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles at around 2 PM PT, when he saw a car parked on the side of the road.

Fonda got out of his car to check out the situation, and found the body of a man slumped over in the front seat.

Fonda called 911 to report his find. Cops and the coroner are now on scene.

TMZ has learned Hinn – best known for his TV show “This is Your Day” – flew in from London yesterday and plans to go with Zsa Zsa's hubby Prince Frederic von Anhalt to UCLA Medical Center later today.

As we previously reported, Prince gave the ok for the operation ... despite doctors saying it is “very risky.”

In the call, her husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt can be heard describing the blood clot and saying, "The doctor says she has to be rushed to the hospital right away."

Prince says she is in "terrible pain" and says she "screams when I touch her leg."

Von Anhalt tells TMZ ... doctors will administer anesthesia to Zsa Zsa today ... something "very risky," according to her doctors, because of her age.

Once she's under, doctors will perform an MRI to figure out their plan of attack in removing a blood clot. If they determine it can't be removed, von Anhalt says doctors will then amputate half her leg.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt tells TMZ ... he has to decide whether to allow doctors to operate on his wife's leg -- which was badly infected because of a blood clot.

The docs have said putting the 93-year-old Zsa Zsa under anesthesia and operating is "very risky" ... the doctors say there's less than a 50% chance she'd survive the procedure.

The Prince says the other option is continuing the antibiotics for the next 3 months. The problem there -- the medication could destroy her kidneys.

Loc -- real name Anthony Terrell Smith -- was pulled over by LAPD officers around 3:00 AM on December 13 after they spotted him driving erratically.

We're told Tone-Loc was hauled in to a nearby station where he was booked for DUI and released 12 hours later on $5,000 bail.

But Tone's manager tells us the rapper does not drink at all -- and hasn't for many years. However, he does have a storied history with seizures.

The manager told us cops "realized" Tone's medical situation and that's why they released him. Tone checked himself into a hospital later that day and believes the seizure could have been caused by "bad food he had earlier that day."
