Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry had a hot night ... of conversation after the Golden Globes.

They seemed to be getting very cozy at the Weinstein Company and Netflix after-party.

But since Katy and her bf just did a duet of "Natural Woman" -- less than 2 weeks ago -- we're sure Orlando was just chatting about his fave John Mayer tunes ... and NOT her enormous boobs.

Cuba Gooding Jr. had a goood time after the Golden Globes -- partying, shadow boxing, razzing Uber drivers and cutting Sylvester Stallone a break for forgetting to thank black people.

We got Cuba leaving the post-Globes bash at the Sunset Marquis, and he was wound up and ready to go! You've gotta see this celebration ... we know he's playing O.J. Simpson in the upcoming 'American Crime Story' -- but looks like he wants to play Sugar Ray Leonard after that.

Cuba even offered an explanation for Sly forgetting to shout out Michael B. Jordan and "Creed" director Ryan Coogler during his Globes speech.

Ricky Gervais interrupted Mel Gibson during his Golden Globes presentation to ask a question that has bugged many for years ... what does "sugar tits" mean?

TMZ broke the story of Mel Gibson's DUI arrest back in 2006, and one of the things law enforcement told us at the time was that Mel referred to a female deputy as "sugar tits."

Ricky couldn't resist, but Mel fired back ... he never said it. Mel and his people are adamant ... he may have said the other stuff but he's clean on "sugar tits."

Soooo ... this happened -- apparently after the American Music Awards in Kylie Jenner and/or Gigi Hadid's hotel room.

Not that it matters. What's important is it DID happen, and there's video of it.

Producers for The American Music Awards had a last minute scramble Friday night after Tyga and Kylie called it quits.

A source close to Sunday night's show tells TMZ the two were originally supposed to be sitting together in the crowd. However -- to avoid any serious drama -- we've learned producers now have Tyga sitting a few rows back from Jenner.

Our source also says Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will be paired together and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will be front row ... but not beside each other.

Chris Rock lit up a beacon of hope for all who love the Academy Awards -- there's a fighting chance the show won't be TV's version of Ambien!

Hours after the Oscars announced Rock would host next year, we got him heading into dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. But check out the video ... the exciting part is WHO he hung out with at the restaurant: Rosario Dawson, Matt Stone and Rick Rubin.

You'd think having the name Andy Samberg has its perks -- after all, the 'SNL' vet just hosted the Emmys -- but it's turned a namesake into a target of hate.

Andy Sandberg, a Tony Award-winning producer, says his Twitter account has been flooded since Sunday night by haters who went on a mission to trash Samberg for his jokes about Donald Trump and Kim Davis.

Turns out Samberg the comedian doesn't tweet from his own Twitter account ... he uses The Lonely Island account. The real problem here ... people don't know how to spell Samberg's last name.

It's been going on for years ... Sandberg says he gets Samberg's fan mail and pleas to audition for "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." He's even gotten a residual check ... but he didn't open it.

Sandberg also says he barely watched the Emmys. Join the crowd.

Now we know why Dave Grohl was so pissed about the Foo Fighters getting yanked from the Emmy Awards stage -- and it's all about size. Yes, it matters ... especially at award shows.

A rep for Grohl tells TMZ ... the band was all set to perform, and would have been the first ever rock band to play the Emmys. But the rep says, "FOX then refused to allow the band to play a full song from the Emmy-winning Sonic Highways."

According to our sources, the network wanted the band to play half of their winning song and then play part of their hit song "Learn to Fly" ... but the band wasn't having it.

We're told the directive came straight from the network and not the television academy, who was on board with the band's plan to play what they wanted to.

FF won 2 Emmys for its HBO docuseries, but you can tell from his reaction last night ... Dave wanted to play, but obviously ... he wanted it his way.
