Mel B is a drug addict and alcoholic who has walked into doors and has been hospitalized for ODs, and she has covered up the bruises and other injuries from her addiction by claiming it was domestic violence ... so says her ex-husband, Stephen Belafonte.

Belafonte just filed legal docs in an effort to get visitation rights in connection with his stepdaughter, Angel, whose biological father is Eddie Murphy. Belafonte, who has been with Angel almost since her birth, claims Mel B is concocting lies about domestic violence to turn Angel against him.

He refers to a 2014 incident in London where Mel B claims he bashed her head into a door. Belafonte says, in fact, what happened was that Mel B ODd on drugs, was hospitalized and sustained bruises from the EKG machine and IV during her stay in the hospital, and falsely claimed it was the result of abuse.

He says she is so addicted to drugs and alcohol she walks into walls because she's drunk in the middle of the day. He says she is so wasted sometimes she will pull down her pants and try to urinate on the couch in front of the kids.

He also notes in his legal docs, obtained by TMZ, her claims that he forced her to have 3-ways is a lie. He says he has videos where Mel B initiates and records the trysts and looks into the camera and says, "That's hot!" and "I like it."

Mel claimed in docs Stephen showed the kids ISIS beheadings. He says this is a blatant lie and he hasn't even searched for such videos.

Usher and his wife were lovey-dovey just days ago and seemingly unbreakable ... which is why their split came as an utter shock to friends.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ ... Usher and Grace Miguel were in L.A. for a night at the movies just last week watching "Black Panther." We're told Usher brought his kids ... looking every bit like a close-knit family.

As we reported ... they were still together as of December and had been keeping a low profile ... with Usher's lawsuits and all. But, sources tell us Usher and Grace had been on the regular at restaurants and stayed at the same house together ... showing zero signs a split was looming.

Another sign Usher and Grace didn't appear to be having marital problems -- just a few weeks ago, friends say they had been planning a vacay out of the country together.

But then, Tuesday came ... Usher and Grace announced their split. The question ... what happened?

Courtney Stodden's made the move to officially end her marriage with actor Doug Hutchison after more than 6 years together ... TMZ has learned.

Courtney filed divorce docs Tuesday, but it's unknown at this time whether she or Doug will ask for spousal support. The couple announced a split in February 2017, but it was unclear if they were trying to reconcile ... until now.

The couple has no children together.

Usher was getting his ducks in a row days before he and his wife announced they were splitting up ... putting their Spanish home on the market.

The singer's 4,261 square foot home with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms -- situated right behind the famed Chateau Marmont on the Sunset strip -- is now up for sale for a cool $4.2 million.

The house was listed 2 weeks before Usher and his wife, Grace Miguel, announced they were separating. As we reported ... the couple, who got married in 2015, said, "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives."

They also own a home in Georgia they're trying to unload. They slashed the price to their Georgia home just last week ... to $1.699M for their 7 bedroom, 10 bathroom mansion.

Usher and Grace Miguel are separating on the heels of multiple allegations and lawsuits claiming he'd given multiple people herpes.

The couple, who married in 2015, released a statement Tuesday, saying ... “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives."

They did not mention the big D, but it's pretty clear they're headed for divorce.

In their statement, first posted by Us Weekly, they added ... "The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

Grace reacted to Usher's herpes accusers back in November, telling us she and her husband are "living their lives."

They were still together as of December, but they've been keeping a low profile since then. Far as we know ... no divorce docs have been filed yet, but seems like it's just a matter of time.

12:02 PM PT -- Jennifer lists "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for separation. She's requesting joint legal custody of their son and is asking for spousal support. There is not a date of separation listed.

According to the docs, there's already an existing custody arrangement in place.

Jim Belushi's wife has filed for divorce after almost 20 years of marriage.

Jennifer Sloan filed docs Monday in L.A. The couple has two kids together ... an 18-year-old daughter named Jamison and 15-year-old son Jared. Belushi married Jennifer in May of 1998.

Jim starred on "Saturday Night Live" from 1983-85. His biggest solo success came with the sitcom "According to Jim" which ran from 2001-2009.

Justin Theroux's keeping his jewelry to a minimum ... he's ditched the wedding ring.

Justin was seen strolling around NYC Thursday and it looks like he's putting his marriage to Jennifer Aniston behind him. It's the first time we've seen him out without the ring.

As we reported ... Justin and Jennifer announced the day after Valentine's Day they were separating after getting married in 2015. We got him out a few days before V-Day and he was hiding the hand that woulda showed us a wedding ring.

Chris Pratt looked like a single guy back in the dating saddle as he met up with a woman ... who happens to look a lot like his estranged wife.

The "Jurassic World" star was at an L.A. Coffee Bean Wednesday, and had a friendly embrace with the hot mystery blonde.

Eric Dane has filed his response to Rebecca Gayheart's divorce, and it's a mirror image of his estranged wife's petition.

Dane is on board with Rebecca's custody and spousal support requests.

Gayheart asked in her divorce petition for spousal support, as well as joint legal and physical custody of the couple's 2 daughters, ages 6 and 7.

They both agree that the marriage is broken due to irreconcilable differences. In short, it appears there are no conflicts in ending the marriage.

The couple has been married for 14 years.

Both have filed legal docs on their own, without lawyers. Celebs often do this, having their business managers work out property settlements with only bare bones legal filings.

Ron White saying "I do" in front of 300 guests, bragging about having a great wife and relishing a blissful life together in Bev Hills is proof he DID get married ... so says a family friend.

Florence Megginson filed a declaration that seems to bolster the claim of the comedian's estranged wife, Margo Rey. She says she was married to Ron, and is therefore able to divorce him. As we first reported, Ron claims they never got a marriage license, and never presented themselves as a married couple.

Florence begs to differ in docs, obtained by TMZ. She says she's been Ron's stylist for years and was at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas in 2013 to witness Ron and Margo exchange vows.

Florence says she received a wedding invitation 3 months before the ceremony and designed Ron's wedding shirt. Florence also says she saw them "enjoying a wonderful life together in their beautiful home in Beverly Hills," and attended several dinner parties there, and Ron referred to Margo as "my wife."

As we reported ... Margo wants Ron to cough up spousal support.

10:30 AM PT -- A rep for Justin tells TMZ ... "Resnicow’s bizarre comments might carry more weight had he ever actually met Jen or toured Justin’s apartment, neither of which has ever happened."

As for the alleged water damage ... the rep says Justin's deck and apartment had nothing to do with it.

Justin Theroux's neighbor -- who thinks Justin's the Devil -- says he has no beef with Jennifer Aniston and feels sorry for her that Justin made her live in a s**thole apartment she hated from the get-go.

Norman Resnicow tells TMZ ... Jen's always been nice to him and he feels sorry for her, because he believes Justin tried to force her to like his NYC pad and then bailed on her because she didn't.

Resnicow says ... "Everyone knows Jennifer hated the place," and suggests she get top lawyers to protect herself against Theroux, "who is acting crummy to her like he did to me." He adds he's rooting for Jen because she named her most beloved dog Norman.

Norman, who is in a legal blood war with Justin over apartment stuff, says Justin has a lot of nerve because, "Hey, I'm the guy he asked to help ease moving of his previous girlfriend out of the building."

"The Crown" star Claire Foy has separated from her husband, actor Stephen Campbell Moore.

Foy said in a statement that this was by no means a recent event ... "We have separated and have been for some time."

Although the statement says nothing about divorce, the words she uses loom large for an end to her 4-year marriage ... "We do however continue as great friends with the utmost respect for one another."

Foy's husband had a major health scare last year when he was diagnosed with a tumor on his pituitary gland. Fortunately, it was benign.

33-year-old Claire herself had a similar scare at age 17, when she was diagnosed with a tumor in her eye. Again, benign.

The couple has 1 child ... a 3-year-old daughter.

Jennifer Aniston made a rare public outing since announcing her split from Justin Theroux ... and she did not look happy.

Jen was spotted leaving Grauman's Chinese Theater Wednesday night after the premiere of her longtime friend Jason Bateman's new movie, "Game Night." She and Jason have been close for nearly 20 years and have done 5 movies together.

However, 'Game' is an action comedy ... so it seems unlikely that is the reason for her solemn face.

As we reported ... Aniston and Theroux announced their separation last week and all signs point to divorce being the next step. We did some digging, though, and they might not ever have been legally married -- which would certainly make the split go smoother, for the lawyers, anyway.

NFL superstar Aldon Smith is begging a judge to drastically reduce his child support obligations immediately ... claiming he can't keep up the high payments while suspended by the league.

28-year-old Smith hasn't played a snap in the NFL since 2015 -- when he was suspended for a hit and run arrest in which cops say he was also drunk. Smith says he's currently awaiting reinstatement.

The issue ... back in 2013, Smith was ordered to pay $9,007 per month in child support to his baby mama for their now 5-year-old son.

He has since fallen behind almost $79,000 in payments -- and he's concerned it's only going to get worse unless the judge cuts him a break.

Smith says, at the time the child support amount was determined, he was making $3 million per year ($250k per month) ... so he could easily afford the payments. But things have changed ...

"I have had no income since November 2015," Smith states in court docs obtained by TMZ Sports ... "I have done my best to stay current, but without an income I have fallen behind."

One source connected to the case tell TMZ Sports ... Smith is full of crap and continues to live a lavish lifestyle while blowing off child support.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux seemed headed for divorce court, but based on our records search and sources ... they may never have been married in the first place.

The couple got married -- we thought -- at their Bel-Air mansion in 2015.

We checked marriage records in L.A. County all the way back to 2010 and there is no record of a marriage license. There's such a thing as a confidential marriage license, but we're told they did NOT get one in L.A. County.

They could have gotten a marriage license in any of the 57 other counties in California, but we spoke with some Jen sources who have had regular contact with her for years, and they say there's been talk for a long time they might not be legally married.

We also checked with numerous divorce lawyers, and no one, as far as we can see, has been contacted by either Jen or Justin.

Rebecca, who starred in "Beverly Hills, 90210" filed legal docs Friday afternoon. Rebecca is asking for spousal support, as well as joint legal and physical custody. The couple has 2 daughters, ages 6 and 7.

Rebecca has been through a lot over the years. Back in 2001, she was driving and allegedly talking on her cellphone when she struck and killed a 9-year-old. She pled no contest to vehicular manslaughter and was sentenced to 3 years probation.

Eric, who starred in "Grey's Anatomy," and Rebecca were caught up in a scandal back in 2009 when Gawker released a sex tape of them having a threesome in a bathtub with another woman.
