We didn't think it was possible -- but Ne-Yo's baby mama just broke the African-child-adopting records set by Madonna AND Angelina Jolie ... combined ... agreeing to adopt 48 children in Swaziland.

Full disclosure -- Monyetta Shaw's not actually taking 48 children back to the United States with her ... but she did agree to pay for their living costs for an entire year ... a nearly $20,000 commitment.

Sources tell TMZ, "Football Wives" star Chanita Foster (below) -- who founded a charity called Beyond the Game to provide children in Swaziland with food, clothes, and education -- got in touch with Monyetta about sponsoring a child or two ... and Monyetta agreed.

But we're told, once Monyetta saw the 48 young faces in the charity's brochure -- she fell in love ... and insisted on adopting all of them.

Each kid costs roughly $30 a month -- and Monyetta adopted 48 for an entire year ... which means she's in for $17,280. Not bad.

NFL legend Warren Sapp has filed documents to try and lower his alimony and child support payments to his ex-wife -- and it's no wonder ... she claims he's fallen behind in his payments to the tune of $728,100!!!

According to court documents filed in Florida, as part of his divorce judgment back in 2007, Sapp was ordered to pay $15,000/month in support for his two kids and another $45,000/month in alimony.

But Sapp's ex, Jamiko, claims that since March 2010, he hasn't been following the terms of the judgment. She claims he's been paying random amounts each month and NOTHING at all for two of the months.

Jamiko claims Warren's missed payments amount to $728,100 and filed a motion asking a judge to enforce their divorce agreement.

In October 2011, Sapp filed documents of his own ... asking a judge to lower his monthly payments.

A judge has yet to rule on either request.

It all went down at a birthday party last night for Toni's brother-in-law, music producer Vincent Herbert. In addition to working with Mary J and Toni, Vincent has also worked with Lady Gaga ... who we're told was also in attendance.

Scarlett Johansson's mother had to back out of a recent apartment purchase because she couldn't get a mortgage ... and her money troubles can be traced back to ScarJo dropping her as manager, so says a new report.

Melanie Sloan filed a lawsuit in New York last month to try and get back the $130,000 down payment she put down on an apartment in Manhattan. According to the lawsuit, the deal to buy the apartment included a provision which stated if Sloan could not secure a mortgage commitment by a certain date, the deal was voided and her down payment should be returned.

Sloan claims she did her part, and notified the seller she couldn't get the deal done, but they have failed to return her down payment.

Sloan served as ScarJo's manager until November 2009, when ScarJo dropped her for more powerful management. According to the NY Post, Sloan's accountant told the seller's of the apartment that losing her daughter as a client was a damaging blow to her financial situation.

The sellers claim Sloan said she was still making money off deals she signed for Scarlett, but they now believe they were misled and tell the Post they feel Sloan acted in bad faith and is not entitled to get her down payment back.

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have bounced back from the separation rumors that plagued them earlier this year ... and TMZ has learned it was differing opinions on how to manage their superstar kids that caused the original strife.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ they are doing "wonderful" now -- but earlier this year, sources tell TMZ there was tension between the two over how best to manage the careers of Jaden and Willow.

We're told each had their own ideas for how things should be handled -- with Will pushing more for full-blown stardom and Jada leaning towards easing them in to things.

But our sources say that bad patch -- which included rumors Jada had an affair with Marc Anthony -- is now past them and things are back to normal.

Charlie Sheen has returned from Colombia -- and TMZ has learned, he's now on a mission to save his kids ... after mommy Brooke Mueller was arrested for cocaine possession last week.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ, Brooke had custody of the 2-year-old twins the night of her arrest -- leaving them in the care of a nanny while she went out clubbing.

Brooke and the kids are currently on their way back from Aspen now -- but we're told, Charlie plans to take care of them as soon as they're home ... and Brooke's parents will help.

According to sources, Brooke's going to take some time for herself while she tries to "get better."

Brooke has struggled with substance abuse issues for years -- and most recently sought addiction help at an alternative treatment facility in Mexico.

Toni Braxton's brother-in-law -- who also stars on "Braxton Family Values" -- has been released from the hospital after suffering a blood clot in his lungs ... TMZ has learned.

Vince Herbert was rushed to a NY hospital two weeks ago ... and the whole Braxton fam rallied around the music producer for support ... even canceling important media events.

Sources close to the family tell TMZ Toni is extremely relieved ... but she considers the situation a "wake-up call" to get her own health checked out more regularly ... especially because she suffers from lupus.

With her big court date just days away, Lindsay Lohan has requested the one person who can put her mind ease to be at her side ... her mother, Dina. What, you were expecting a different parent?

Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ ... Dina will be making the trip from NY to LA to be with Lindsay as she gets ready to face Judge Sauntner. We're told Lindsay asked Dina to make the trip, and even booked the flight herself ... something we're told Lindsay only does when she is particularly worried about what might happen.

Toni Braxton and her family had to put the kibosh on a major media event to promote their reality show in L.A. this week ... because the gang decided it was more important to be with a family member who's hospitalized across the county.

TMZ has learned ... more than 30 media outlets were scheduled to attend an event at Boa Steakhouse tonight to kick off the new season of "Braxton Family Values."

But plans changed when Toni's brother-in-law, Vince Herbert, was rushed to a NY hospital Sunday to be treated for a blood clot in his lungs ... and the family decided it was more important to be with him.

Sources close to Vince -- who's a regular on the show -- tell us he's in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

Hustler honcho Larry Flynt says he's disappointed that his younger brother Jimmy is trying to sue him for more than $20 million ... but he sure as hell isn't surprised.

Jimmy -- who was portrayed by Woody Harrelson's brother Brett in "The People vs. Larry Flynt" -- filed the lawsuit earlier this week, claiming he was wrongfully fired from the Flynt empire.

But Larry's rep tells TMZ ... the suit is "baseless" ... insisting the claims have already been rejected by two different judges and they expect the same result this time around.

The rep says, "While Mr. Flynt has tried to help Jimmy for many years, Jimmy has always acknowledged that he was merely an at-will employee for Mr. Flynt."

We've learned Kelsey Grammer is going into court this week ... asking a judge to impose a gag order on ex-wife Camille after her encounter with TMZ last week.

Our camera guy ran into Camille and her son last Tuesday -- and asked Camille which activities she enjoys doing with her kids. Camille instructed her son to answer the question and he replied, "Play."

Sources tell us Kelsey wasn't happy with the situation -- and wants the family judge to prohibit Camille from exposing their kids to media cameras in the future.

Sources connected with "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" tell us ... Camille is indignant because just days later Kelsey paraded both of their children in front of a bank of cameras at Boa, a place ALWAYS buzzing with paparazzi.

So we ask ...

Judgment Day has come for "Terminator 2" star Edward Furlong ... and a court has decided the actor owes more than $15,000 in back child support payments to his ex-wife.

According to papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Furlong has only forked over $3,201 in payments to ex-wife Rachael Kneeland since December -- problem is, he still owes another $12,108 PLUS another $3,840 in interest.

Kneeland -- who starred as Becca in "The Ring" back in 2002 -- had a son with Furlong ... before divorcing him back in 2009.

The settlement struck between Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva is nothing less than a financial fiasco for a woman who wanted untold millions of dollars from her famous ex.

TMZ obtained a copy of the original 2010 settlement worth $15 million that Oksana disavowed. At the time, Oksana said she would not go through with the settlement because she felt Mel was a danger to their daughter Lucia and believed Mel should not have unsupervised contact with the child.

In reality, sources connected to the case tell TMZ, the real reason Oksana walked away from the settlement is because she was advised she could get a lot more than $15 million because of the alleged physical abuse she claims she suffered at the hands of Mel.

Now, in a shocking twist of fate, rather than getting $15 million, Oksana is only getting $750k. On top of that, she was concerned about Mel having unsupervised visitation ... Mel is actually getting MORE unsupervised visitation based on the agreement that was just struck.

The fact is, under the 2010 agreement, Mel would NOT have gotten 50/50 custody until Lucia turns 3 years old. Under the current agreement, he gets 50/50 custody immediately.

Short story ... she should have taken door #1.

One of the most recognizable stars of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" waxed poetic minutes ago about the death of Taylor Armstrong​'s estranged husband -- but there's one problem ... the star is Lisa Vanderpump's dog.

You read that correctly -- Lisa's tiny Pomeranian Giggy, which has over 32,000 followers on Twitter, went public with its feelings this morning, writing, "A very sad time...I look at life a little differently today..my heart aches for@TaylorArmstrong .."

Sure, it's a bogus Twitter account -- but we still gotta ask ...

Oksana Grigorieva made it clear to the family law judge Friday -- she wants a bundle from Mel Gibson, including a half a million bucks for the alleged trauma she claims Mel caused her 14-year-old son, fathered by actor Timothy Dalton.

TMZ broke the story ... Mel and Oksana met separately with the judge and a mediator Friday, trying to hammer out a settlement in the custody war that is laced with financial overtones. We're told Oksana asked for a huge amount of money for various reasons, and one involves her son Alexander (aka Sasha).

Oksana claims Mel traumatized the boy during the January 6, 2009 explosive fight, which ended with physical violence .... Oksana has alleged Mel knocked two of her teeth out, while Mel says he merely slapped her because she was out of control and endangering the baby.

Oksana claims Mel was abusive to Sasha during the argument, calling him names and scaring him so much he allegedly hid under the bed.

Oksana also claimed on another occasion Mel threw her son onto a table, but Mel's camp has denied it.
