Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are taking a major step in their impending marriage ... by bringing out their soon-to-be in-laws for dinner.

Miley and her mom, Tish, met up Saturday night with Liam and his folks, Leonie and Craig, for a fishy meal at Nobu in Malibu.

Looks like it went better than when the Fockers met the Byrneses.

While everyone's crying for Tilikum, the family of late SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau wants the world to remember he killed their daughter 7 years ago -- and the tragedy's still fresh for them.

Dawn's mother, Marion LoVerde, tells TMZ she doesn't want the orca's death to overshadow Dawn's. She says, yes ... "It's sad nature took Tilikum's life, but he lived 7 more years than Dawn did, and we have to live with it."

Marion admits having mixed feelings about the death of Tilikum ... who drowned Dawn by taking her underwater by her ponytail. The attack was infamously chronicled in the "Blackfish" documentary.

Despite the tragedy, Marion says her family still works with SeaWorld to host charity runs in Dawn's name.

She added ... Dawn loved Tilikum, and they believe her death was a tragic accident.

Charles Manson's grandson wants a face-to-face with his infamous grandfather while he's hospitalized ... and is worried he may never get to tell the murderer he loves him.

Jason Freeman -- son of Charles Manson Jr. -- tells TMZ he's been working with lawyers to try and get access to his grandfather's bedside in Bakersfield ... but so far no luck.

Jerry Rice's daughter says she's dead serious about joining a professional women's football league ... telling TMZ Sports, "I've got genetics in my favor."

Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher have been laid to rest ... right next to each other as planned.

Family and friends met at Hollywood's Forest Lawn Memorial Park Friday morning to bury the mother and daughter duo ... who died one day apart. Carrie was cremated earlier this week, but some of her ashes were buried in a coffin next to Debbie's.

Some of those in attendance ... Carrie's daughter, Billie Lourd, Taylor Lautner, and Todd Fisher -- who was seen carrying Carrie's ashes in an urn ... shaped like a giant Prozac pill.

The funeral came after a private memorial held at Debbie and Carrie's family compound in Bev Hills, where Meryl Streep reportedly sang a song for Carrie. She's also been tapped to give the eulogy at the public memorial.

Sharon Tate's sister, Debra, says more than a decade ago prison officials told her Charles Manson was on the verge of dying.

Tate says during a parole hearing while Gray Davis was Governor of California (1999 - 2003) an official from Corcoran State Prison made it clear ... the man who murdered her sister was suffering from some sort of fatal illness.

The official was either wrong or just severely premature, and Debra says whatever is ailing Manson now ... it's not the end.

TMZ broke the story ... Manson was rushed from the prison to a hospital in Bakersfield. One source told TMZ he has gastrointestinal issues.

The family of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds is planning a public memorial which will become a grand Hollywood event, and we're told they've reached out to Meryl Streep for the keynote eulogy.

Family sources tell us there will be a private service and burial Thursday for both Carrie and Debbie. The service will take place at Forest Lawn in Burbank, where mother/daughter will be buried side by side.

We're told there will be no celebrities delivering eulogies at the private service. If Billie Lourd feels up to speaking she will, but there are no concrete plans.

As for the public memorial, no date has been set. Billie is spearheading the service, and she wants to get through the funeral before she goes full bore.

We're told as of late Tuesday, Meryl Streep was not a firm lock but they fully expect her to be the principal speaker. As you know, Streep played Carrie in "Postcards from the Edge" and was very close to Debbie. Meryl presented Debbie with a humanitarian award a couple years back.

We're told the family will also reach out to 'Star Wars' actors to speak, including Mark Hamill. They expect George Lucas to attend but not to speak.

The public memorial will be a Hollywood event. We're told Debbie's costumes from "Singin' in the Rain" and other movies will be on display. Carrie's 'Star Wars' outfits likewise will be featured.

Carrie Fisher and her mom, Debbie Reynolds, are the subjects of a poignant documentary about their bond ... professionally and personally.

HBO just released the trailer for "Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds" ... which was shot over more than a year during 2014 and 2015.

It comes out Jan. 7, and features mother and daughter sharing moments made even more emotional after their deaths.

Janet Jackson is a mom for the first time.

Janet delivered a baby boy Tuesday with hubby Wissam Al Mana, and the kid's name is Eissa Al Mana ... according to Janet's reps.

Remember, Janet unexpectedly postponed her Unbreakable World Tour last year to start "planning our family" ... as she put it in a video message to disappointed fans.

People was the first to report the birth. JJ's reps tell us the 50-year-old singer had a "stress free healthy delivery."

7:47 AM PT -- Family sources tell TMZ Rob checked himself into the hospital because his diabetes flared up. We're told he had been doing ok lately but the stress from his turbulent relationship with Blac Chyna drove him to eat excessively and he gained an alarming amount of weight recently ... causing him to lose control over his diabetes.

He's still in the hospital as doctors try to stabilize him.

Blac Chyna and Kris Jenner rushed to an emergency room Wednesday night after Rob Kardashian went into "medical distress.' ... TMZ has learned.

Chyna and Kris arrived separately -- Kris was with Corey Gamble -- and rushed into the ER at 9:45 PM near Hidden Hills, where the family lives.

Sources connected with the family confirm Rob had checked himself in earlier in the evening.

Rob and Chyna have been living separately, which explains why she showed up later.

As TMZ has reported, he's suffered from diabetes. So far we don't know what triggered the ER visit. There is a report out he suffered a mental breakdown but we're told that is not true. Our sources would only characterize it as a "health problem."

Debbie Reynolds seemingly willed her own death Wednesday, telling her son before the stroke that claimed her life, "I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie."

Todd Fisher tells us Debbie cracked early Wednesday morning from grief. She was at Todd's home during the morning hours, talking about Carrie's funeral, when she made the comment. Fifteen minutes later she had the stroke.

Family sources tell us Debbie actually had several strokes this year and was in failing health, and they believe Carrie's death was too much to bear.
