The "Anger Management" and "Someone Like You" star was pulled over in New York City over the weekend for not wearing her seat belt while driving through the Big Apple. Sources tell TMZ that Tomei gave one of her best performances yet, as she begged the officer to let her slide. Among her reported tactics; repeatedly batting her long luscious eyelashes and continuously flashing her pearly whites.

Tomei's flirt session worked like a charm! The officer fell for the act hook, line & sinker and allowed the actress to drive away with only a warning!

Jesse was a guest yesterday on the Steve and Vikki Morning show on Star 94 Atlanta. The interview was supposed to focus on promoting his new album, but it somehow took a detour onto the subject of Jennifer Lopez and her exit from the big-screen adaptation of the TV show "Dallas." Jesse is currently dating Katie Cassidy, who stars as Lucy Ewing in the film. So when Jesse told Steve and Vikki (and all of their listeners) that the reason Jen backed out of the role as Sue Ellen was because she was pregnant, everyone believed he had the real scoop. It now appears, however, that the teen crooner had no idea what he was talking about.

Jesse has just issued an apology to TMZ stating, "I have no first hand knowledge whether Jennifer Lopez is pregnant or not. I thought I had read it somewhere. I apologize."

Oops Jesse. Might want to check your facts before you start mouthing off on the air.

The New York Post reports that Bruce Springsteen's long time marriage to Patti Scialfa is in deep trouble.

The alleged problem is Bruce's blossoming friendship with a stunning 9/11 widow the Boss met when he organized the "America: A Tribute to Heroes" telethon. The two have been spotted several times at the Beacon Hill Beach Club and the Stone Pony, the Asbury Park watering hole made famous in "Glory Days."

The Post quotes several "friends" of Springsteen who can't seem to decide on whether the couple is on the rocks or not. One friend says "They're separated, but everyone has been sworn to secrecy," while another friend states "He's just a really big flirt. There's nothing going on. Bruce and Patti are very much partners. They go at it a lot and fight, but they also work at it a lot... Patti is a strong woman. They are not going anywhere." Confused yet? So are we.

A Springsteen representative declined comment.

With Kate Hudson absent from tonight's UK premiere of "You, Me and Dupree," co-stars Owen Wilson and Michael Douglas were bombarded with questions about the newly separated actress.

While speaking of a co-star's well-being would normally be tough as it is, Wilson had an even more daunting task of avoiding questions regarding a rumored affair he had with the blonde actress.

Owen didn't offer much to probing reporters saying, "I assume she's in California ... I think she's doing fine, yeah" before moving down the arrival line.

While promoting his new film, "The Last Kiss," Zach Braff opened up about the troubles of dating in Hollywood. The "Scrubs" star recently split with Mandy Moore, due in part to their nine-year age difference, and says the scrutiny put on celebrities can be overwhelming.

"A relationship is hard, doing it in the public eye is something that's very new to me. I was a waiter 5 years ago and when I was a waiter nobody was telling lies about me in the tabloids. But it's par for the course."

One recent tabloid rumor even linked him with Jessica Simpson but Braff insists the gossip isn't true: "Totally made up. I've met her a couple times, she's a sweet girl but I think I saw her two months ago at a bar in the Hamptons and that was it."

Could it be splitsville for Matthew McConaughey and Lance Armstrong, celebdom's most visible new BFFs? A report today by New York Daily News' Ben Widdicombe says that Jake Gyllenhaal has edged out Matt for the plum role of playing Lance in an upcoming film version of Armstrong's life story, even though it's been McConaughey who's logged the most time with the cycling legend in recent weeks, as faithfully chronicled by TMZ.

The saga began in earnest last month at the Tour de France, where Lance and Jake (himself an avid cyclist) hung out together to watch the competition, fueling speculation that Gyllenhaal was preparing for a role in the Armstrong biopic being developed by Sony. And then, in late July, the trio was spotted biking together in Malibu -- who knows how competitive that seemingly innocent ride must've been, with Jake and Matt vying for Lance's approval?

Though Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn maintain they are not, and never have been, a couple, the two were awarded "Choice Movie Chemistry" for their relationship in the film "The Break-Up."

Appearing to be anything but a couple, the two who just last week denied tabloid reports that they're engaged, took constant jabs at each other during last night's Teen Choice Awards telecast.

Aniston kept cutting Vince off during their acceptance speech, joking "You know what, you probably have enough chemistry for both of us, I'm actually surprised that you're not just nominated for this award all by yourself."

Though it was all in good fun, the two ended the taped speech looking annoyed and with Vaughn saying, "All right -- is this over with?"

Following the Brody Jenner-Kristin Cavallari love saga has been tricky lately, but apparently their split wasn't too traumatic -- the two were spotted last night heading into Hyde together.

After Kristin made a quick dash through photogs and fans outside, Jenner walked up and was bombarded with questions about their relationship. Brody's response? "No, we're just friends."

Kristin and Brody announced their split two weeks ago and both have since been spotted partying solo all over LA. Brody was seen lunching with Nicole Richie and hopping into a car with Paris Hilton, and it seemed Jenner was loving single life. Cavallari appeared to second that emotion, telling TMZ cameras that her life since the split was "fantastic."

Brody Jenner had a run-in with ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari last night at Hyde. The "Laguna Beach" babe arrived at the hot Hollywood club just minutes before the "Princes of Malibu" star.

Jenner has been linked to Nicole Richie after being spotted with the "Simple Life" vixen at both Il Sole and Il Tramezzino in the past week. And yet, Brody swears the two are "just friends," which may explain why he was "caught" leaving Hyde with Richie's nemesis, Paris Hilton.

Jennifer Aniston has lashed out against published reports claiming that she has gotten engaged to her boyfriend and "The Break-Up" co-star Vince Vaughn.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine, Aniston says, "I'm not engaged and I don't have a ring and I haven't been proposed to."

Jen's latest comments come in sharp contrast to Us Weekly's cover story last week which reported that Vince proposed to Jen aboard a private jet after vacationing in Mexico in June. Aniston found this aspect of the story particularly amusing. "OK, so you're on a romantic location. You've got the beach, you've got the sunset, but no, no you're going to wait for an airplane ride," she says she joked with Vaughn concerning a hypothetical engagement.

Aniston says she normally doesn't respond to these type of stories, but took action once her family members started getting accused of lying and once "reliable and accurate news programs" began reporting the story. Jen adds, "People are getting fed a lot of bull."

Fans of the Vaughniston are getting used to the engagement stories. In July another celebrity weekly falsely reported that Vince and Jen had gotten engaged in Paris.

Us Weekly stands by their story that the couple is engaged.

Nicole Richie and Brody Jenner were spotted together again last night for a dinner at Il Sole.

While Brody, who just recently split with "Laguna Beach" babe Kristin Cavallari, told photographers yesterday that the two were "just friends," their continued outings together suggest something more.

Richie also just had a break up from ex-fiancé DJ AM, so she and Jenner could definitely be labeled as "on the rebound." Take a look for yourselves and decide if they're a couple or not.

Prince Harry finds himself in another flap over controversial tabloid photos, and his representatives have asked the newspaper that published them to make a correction to the accompanying story -- though they do not dispute the authenticity of the actual pictures.

The Sun tabloid, in this morning's editions, splashed a photo of the Prince with his hand cupped unambiguously under the right breast of a comely blonde, identified as Natalie Pinkham, a friend, while his brother Prince William chatted in the background at a London nightclub. The implication of the story is that the younger Prince was cavorting with Pinkham this summer, in the absence of his girlfriend of more than a year, Chelsy Davy.

However, Prince Charles' press office tells TMZ that they have asked The Sun to correct their story and make it clear that the pictures were taken three years ago, before Prince Harry was dating Davy, and in a different nightclub than the one named in The Sun. They did not dispute the authenticity of the actual photos, but would not elaborate on the relationship between the Prince and Ms. Pinkham.

Nicole Richie has been paired with a DJ, a Jackass and now she may be hooking up with a Prince of Malibu. Cameras caught the Simple Life star at outdoor cafe il Tramezzino with Brody Jenner, step-son to the music mogul David Foster.

"Naw, just friends" says Brody to the photographer, but just a short time earlier he was sitting close to Richie, eyeing her like she was the main course.

Jay McGraw, the son of TV pop psychologist Dr. Phil, got married on Saturday in Beverly Hills to former Playboy Playmate Erica Dahm – and Oprah was a notable no-show, TMZ has learned.

If there was any doubt that Dr. Phil and Oprah are on the outs, Oprah's absence from the nuptials of the son of her onetime protégé may just have confirmed it.

As for the wedding itself, TMZ has learned that the reception was held at the swanky Beverly Hills Hotel – right around the corner from Dr. Phil's estate, where the ceremony was performed. Of the 400 guests, the best-known celeb amongst them was talk-show legend Larry King.

The musical entertainment was a highlight of the occasion – songwriter extraordinaire David Foster played piano with the wedding band, and R&B singer-producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds performed three songs, which Foster had rehearsed with the band for five hours. The result, says our source, was "amazing."

Teri Hatcher was spotted last Thursday shopping at a cellular phone store in Los Angeles with her 8 year-old daughter, Emerson. The duo were shopping for a pink RAZR cell phone that Emerson wanted. Hatcher appeared hesitant to buy Emerson that particular phone because she said she had heard bad things about the phone's quality.

Sources tell TMZ that Hatcher was very protective of her daughter- not letting her roam the store unless she was by her side. When asked for her daughter's Social Security number to activate the cell phone account, Hatcher was reluctant to give the sales clerk such information. Hatcher immediately phoned a male confidant on her cell phone to get advice on the matter. The confidant okayed giving Emerson's Social Security number to the clerk, and also advised Teri not to buy the RAZR for Emerson due to his own daughter's problems with her phone.

After dating for one year, Vince Vaughn has reportedly proposed to girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

The new issue of Us Weekly reports Vaughn popped the question on June 27. The couple were on a private jet back to LA after vacationing at "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis' home near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Vaughn allegedly bought Aniston's engagement ring in New York, which is believed to be bigger than the $200,000 Silvia Damiani ring she received from her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

This isn't the first time rumors have speculated the couple's engagement. Just last month, Life & Style falsely reported Vince got down on bended knee in Paris.

Vaughniston, who met on the set of their hit film "The Break-Up", have been living in Jen's Hollywood Hills home and have been spotted checking out properties in Chicago, Vince's hometown.
