Rapper YG started the chaotic water bottle melee that abruptly ended his concert ... and he did it to cover up the fact that he couldn't sing.

YG lost his voice 2 songs into his performance ... that's what a rep for the promoters tell TMZ. The promoters say the rapper first tried to get his DJ to pump up the volume to mask his voice, but when that didn't work he resorted to throwing water bottles at the crowd ... which predictably turned bad.

Apparently YG wasn't sure the bottle would do the trick, so he jumped off stage and punched a fan in the face ... and that's when all hell broke loose.

The promoter tells us the club is now in danger of losing its license. We're told the club may take legal action against the rapper.

Chris Brown -- NOT KARRUECHE -- is the one who did the breaking up, because she was a crass opportunist ... so say people in Chris' camp.

Sources closely connected with the singer tell TMZ ... Chris is shocked Karrueche's people leaked a story that she dumped him, allegedly because of a never-ending obsession with Rihanna and refusal to act like an adult.

But Chris' people tell us ... he found out she was texting and sending photos to other guys while they were together. He was also furious she did interviews for her clothing line and talked about their relationship.

In a word ... Chris decided she was an "opportunist" and dumped her.

Jay Z and Beyonce secretly attended a private event last week ... and it's significant because it's the most authentic evidence so far that they're still very much a couple.

Jay's mom, Gloria Carter, threw a shindig to celebrate the opening of her new restaurant, Diamondz N Da Ruff in Newark.

Jay Z and Beyonce showed up at 7 PM last Saturday for the ribbon cutting and champagne toast and stayed 15 minutes. Our spies say Beyonce and Gloria hugged and laughed.

Here's the thing. There were no photogs at the event. We got this pic just by chance. So it seems there was no grandstanding on Bey's or Jay's part to look like a happy couple.

Don't panic, Shia LaBeouf is NOT joining the Air Force ... his recent visit to a recruiter's office was just prep work for a new role he's eyeing.

Our Shia sources tell us his trip to the USAF office in L.A. Saturday wasn't a whacky publicity stunt -- he's really trying to learn about the enlisting process -- from recruitment through basic training.

LaBeouf hasn't locked down the potential role yet ... he's just doing his homework.

Get ready to interpret ... because Beyonce now obtusely reveals what went down in that elevator ... and one interpretation goes directly to her marriage.

Beyonce dropped a remix for her song "Flawless" with Nicki Minaj Saturday night ... and early in the track says, "We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators ... of course sometime s**t goes down when it's a billion dollars on the elevator."

So how's this for a theory. Multiple reports estimate Beyonce and Jay Z's worth between $900 million and 1 billion. So when she says "of course sometimes s**t goes down when it's a billion dollars on the elevator" ... could that mean there's a billion dollars on the line and they were arguing over something related to the heart of the marriage?

Just a theory.

Brace yourselves Dundler Mifflinites ... one of the stars of "The Office" -- who also ran the show behind the scenes for a few seasons -- says there will NEVER be a reunion.

Paul Lieberstein -- better known as Toby Flenderson -- was on his way out of Riva Bella in West Hollywood when we asked if there was a chance the cast would ever reunite.

Orlando Bloom is not acting like the loser of the Justin Bieber scuffle ... he looks like he's having the best time of his life at a restaurant near Ibiza.

Orlando looks a little -- well, buzzed -- as he dances furiously to "Happy" ... flailing his arms in the air.

At one point he pulls what appears to be his GF -- Erica Packer -- up on the bench he's dancing on and kisses her hand.

But Erica does not have a monopoly on Orlando. A bunch of chicks swarm him as he dances uncontrollably.

Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez acted like two horny teenagers Thursday night in Ibiza ... making out in the middle of a nightclub for all to see.

Efron and M-Rod have been all over each other the last few weeks ... although Michelle was spotted Wednesday afternoon hanging out on a yacht with Justin Bieber.

Also interesting in the video ... Michelle is dancing with what appears to be a beer bottle in her hand. Later on, Zac appears to be holding the bottle.

Chris Brown played the Rihanna card one too many times with Karrueche Tran ... we've learned Karrueche has not only broken up with him ... for safe measure she changed her number.

Our sources say Karrueche exploded when Chris recently "liked" 2 fan photos on Instagram of Rihanna and him together.

But Rihanna was only a small part of Karrueche's problems with Chris. We're told she was unhappy for a long time ... as sources put it, because "Chris acts immature, like a child." She thinks he's ruining his life by spending more time partying than making music.

Chris' reaction to the break up has been breathtaking. He went to St. Tropez this week and took a very good friend of Karrueche's along for the ride. And he made a point to be photographed with her ... making sure Karrueche would see it.

Karrueche's reaction was not jealousy. We're told she's changed her phone number ... specifically so Chris couldn't contact her.

Boy ... it takes guts.

Beyonce and Jay Z got super snuggly during their Wednesday night concert in Seattle ... clearly an overt display to counter numerous reports of an imminent split.

While her ex and her alleged fling duke it out in Ibiza, Selena Gomez rocked the shortest of shorts Thursday while heading to a meeting in L.A.

As TMZ first reported, while Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom fought over Miranda Kerr ... there is some tangential Selena involvement.

Our sources say Gomez -- who was once famously photographed with Bloom -- claims she never hooked up with the "Lord of the Rings" star.

The tangled and convoluted apparent romance between Orlando Bloom and Erica Packer continued Thursday as the pair hung out at a restaurant in Formentera, Spain.

As TMZ previously reported, Bloom and Packer have been spending lots of time together this week, which wouldn't be weird ... except for the fact that late last year their exes, Miranda Kerr and James Packer, were reportedly romantically linked.

And all 4 of them were friends when the marriages were in tact.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are still tied together ... by the people they appear to have dated. It's a bizarre love square. Let us connect the dots.

Justin Bieber clearly has a thing for Australian women ... a day after brawling with Orlando Bloom over Miranda Kerr, Biebs was spotted on a yacht in Ibiza with another Aussie babe, Shanina Shaik.

Shaik -- who Instagrammed a few shots from the boat -- was born and raised in Melbourne and has done modeling work for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Chanel. She dated Tyson Beckford for years until their breakup in 2013.

There's no evidence Justin was involved with their split, so he should be safe ... which is good. Tyson is waaaaaaaay bigger than Orlando.

Selena Gomez says she's never done the nasty with Orlando Bloom ... and she has absolutely zero to do with his raging battle against her ex-BF Justin Bieber.

Sources directly connected to Selena tell us ... the reason she was with Orlando back in March is because their manager organized an event for his clients at We Day in Oakland.

As for the widely-circulated photo of Orlando and Selena at a Chelsea Handler show in L.A. a few weeks later ... it was nothing more than a smoke break. They were actually with their respective groups of friends and happened to be next to each other when the pic was snapped.
