Lindsay Lohan and her family celebrated an arrest-free Christmas in New York -- but one family member was conspicuously absent ... you get three guesses.

While Michael Lohan celebrated the holiday in Florida with his on-again-off-again-on-again GF (now fiancee) Kate Major, the rest of the Lohan family got festive at Dina's house in Long Island -- including Lindsay's grandma and siblings Ali, Cody, and Michael Jr.

We're told other family and friends were present as well ... and it was actually fun -- drama free, as they gorged themselves on a massive Italian feast.

As for the tree -- we're told money did NOT grow on it.

President Barack Obama wrapped up his Hawaii vacation on Christmas Eve with one last round of golf with close friends ... including an old school buddy who was arrested on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute.

It was Barack's second round of golf in Hawaii in the last week with Bobby Titcomb, who was popped in April 2011 after allegedly approaching an undercover police officer for sex in downtown Hawaii.

Titcomb pled "no contest" to the charges and was fined $500. Since Titcomb stayed out of trouble for six months after the plea ... the charge disappeared from his record.

Demi Lovato took a page out of Britney Spears' down-home playbook, and spent Christmas day stuffing her face in an unexpected, but awesome, place -- the International House of Pancakes!

Demi hit up an IHOP in Texas with her family for dinner on Tuesday, and the 'X Factor' judge's ruling was -- AWESOME! She tweeted ... "Literally the best Christmas I've ever had."

The only person more excited than Demi about the meal -- a rep for IHOP who tells TMZ, "We are thrilled that Ms. Lovato came to IHOP for her Christmas Dinner and we look forward to her visiting us throughout the year."

Who knew? Justin Theroux is tatted neck to toe.

The pics were snapped in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over the weekend. Jennifer Aniston, who at 43 still looks mighty fine, and Justin were catching some rays when he stood up and revealed a back tat that looks kinda ... Asian-y.

Jennifer makes a yearly pilgrimage to Cabo around XMAS time and usually George Clooney follows suit -- this time with lucky Stacy Keibler. And Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford always make the trek as well.

FYI --There are reports circulating that Jennifer is pregnant. If she's really pregnant, Jessica Simpson has been doing it seriously wrong.

Former New York Yankees slugger Andruw Jones' Christmas Day started out behind bars -- police in Georgia arrested him for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his wife ... following their Christmas Eve party.

According to the incident report, obtained by TMZ, Andruw's wife called police at 1:30 yesterday morning, claiming Andruw drunkenly attacked her in their Duluth, GA home following the holiday get together, dragging her through their garage and choking her.

Andruw's wife told police she had asked him to help her set up for Christmas morning after the party -- including assembling a computer desk -- and Andruw grew belligerent ... grabbing her and attacking her.

According to the report, when police arrived at the couple's home, they found the baseball player passed out in bed, still dressed in his clothes from earlier in the day. Officers then woke Andruw up and placed him under arrest.

According to Gwinnett County jail records ... Jones was booked for battery and released on a $2,500 bond.

That name is going to haunt Dirk Nowitzki for years ... 'cause he DOMINATED the NBA superstar when a game of 1-on-1 broke out at a Children's Hospital in Dallas.

It all went down at Children's Medical Center in Dallas last week, where Dirk was handing out gifts to some of the kids.

And that's when it happened ... Dirk (7-footish) challenged Will (4-footish) to some mini-basketball ... and IT WAS ON!!!

Will set the pace early ... dropping a rainbow right over Dirk's head.

Sure, Dirk somehow managed to pull off a dunk ... and he chalked up a pretty nasty rejection ... but in the end, it was all Will.

The kid started off the day as a hardcore Bulls fan ... but now says he'll also root for Dirk.

We're guessing a lot of people are gonna feel that way after watching the clip.

Just two days before she made her big announcement, a secretly pregnant Jessica Simpson took her fetus on a Christmas Eve shopping spree ... and showed off her growing baby bump.

While wearing an animal print tunic-thingy, Jessica hit up a Target store in Hawaii on Sunday to stock up on wrapping paper and all sorts of other competitively priced stuff.

It's unclear how far along she is, but it's gotta be early ... considering you can BARELY see the bulge in her midsection.

Ryan Seacrest tells TMZ ... the countdown to 2013 will be a special one, because he'll be honoring his late friend and mentor ... the great Dick Clark.

Seacrest was leaving a birthday lunch at Cecconi's in West Hollywood when we asked him how he felt about this year's NYE show .... the first one since Dick passed away back in April.

"I miss him," Seacrest told us ... adding, "I'm excited about New Year's though to celebrate him ... it'll be a fun night."

Clark hand-selected Seacrest to take over the main hosting gig on New Year's Rockin' Eve after he suffered a stroke back in 2004.

There's only room for one sheriff in Neiman Marcus ... at a time ... at least for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

TMZ shoppers spotted Arnold -- with his weird new haircut -- roaming the racks at Neiman's in Bev Hills on Xmas Eve.

Arnold meandered from the overpriced jewelry ... to the extremely overpriced menswear ... to the restaurant area ... and then he left.

Roughly 15 minutes later, guess who appeared? Maria mosied through the department store for some last minute shopping. .

January will be an interesting month for the former couple. Not yet divorced, they are still squabbling over money. So the question -- who will pay the enormous credit card bill?

Ashton Kutcher is gettin' super serious with Mila Kunis ... or so it seems ... 'cause just days after he filed for divorce from Demi Moore, he took Mila to spend Xmas with his fam ... in Iowa.

Ashton and Mila were spotted in Kutcher's home town of Cedar Rapids this weekend, munching down on some Fro Yo at a local shop ... this according to People.com.

The timing is interesting -- considering the actor JUST filed his divorce papers last week, more than a year after he and Demi split up. It appears Ashton's trying to clear the decks for his newer, younger, more exciting relationship.

It's a Christmas miracle ... Kanye West turned to the paparazzi ... SMILED ... and wished them all a very "Happy Holidays" ... and TMZ has the footage to prove it!!!

One L.A. parking enforcer just bought himself a one-way ticket to the naughty list ... 'cause he GAVE SANTA CLAUS A PARKING TICKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Claus -- who must have been letting all the reindeer rest before their upcoming gig -- parked his sedan at a meter in downtown L.A. Thursday ... while he ran some last minute Xmas errands in his classic red suit.

Enter the Grinch -- a.k.a. parking-ticket-man -- who noticed Santa's meter was expired, and slapped him with a ticket soooo fast ... even the elves were stunned (and everyone knows elves are fast).

According to an eye-witness on scene ... Santa tried desperately to get out of the fine ... but no cigar.
