Vanessa Hudgens vs. Miley Cyrus WHO'D YOU RATHER?

Published | Updated

Here's 24-year-old "Spring Breakers" star Vanessa Hudgens putting her best cheek forward during a nightclub performance Tuesday night (left) -- and 20-year-old pop singer Miley Cyrus on stage last weekend trying to redeem herself from her flat VMAs performance (right).

The question is black and white.

Lindsay & Madonna Who's Younger ... Looking?

Published | Updated

Lindsay Lohan and Madonna were accidental (we think) twinsies in NYC last night ... which is great for Madonna, and ... not-so-great for LiLo.

Madge threw a party for the release of her new short film -- and posed for a photo with Lindsay ... both of them in matching black outfits, matching red lipstick, and matching curly blondish hair.

However, what's not matching in the photo -- their ages. Madonna's 55, and Lindsay is 27!

The take away for Madonna is ... take more pics with Lindsay.

'Mr. Magorium' Director Hey 'Breaking Bad' I Hate My Movie, Too!

Published | Updated

The writer/director of "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" tells TMZ ... he harbors no grudges against "Breaking Bad" for trashing his movie, because he also thinks it's a piece of crap!

In case you didn't see Sunday's "Breaking Bad" ... STOP READING HERE.

In the episode, Walter White was taken into a secluded home in the woods, with no Internet or cable. The only entertainment was "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" -- and there were TWO copies.

Zach Helm, the writer/director of "Magorium" tells TMZ ... "Having myself endured the ignominy of watching the Technicolor train-wreck that is 'Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium' multiple times every day for over a year, I can attest to it being the perfect Kafka-esque Hell for a character of such moral ambiguity as Walter White."

Zach also said as good as "Breaking Bad" is ... the plot line of ANYONE having 2 DVDs of that movie is simply unbelievable. As he put it, "That is exactly two more copies than are allowed in my house."

Smart man.

Jim Carrey Dumb and Dumbness ... This is Really Happening!!!

Published | Updated

Yes, we're saying there's a chance -- in fact, more than a chance ... Jim Carrey just gave the world hardcore proof the "Dumb and Dumber" sequel is really, finally filming.

Jim posted a WhoSay pic of himself and Jeff Daniels -- aka Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne -- attempting to read Jim's new children's book called, "How Roland Rolls."

It looks like they're standing in between their trailers on the movie set ... which is a good sign cameras are already rolling on the long-anticipated (almost 20 years now) "Dumb and Dumber To."

Then again, they could just be lost in a trailer park. Either way ... awesome.

Michael Douglas Matt, Give Me a Hand with My Giant ...

Published | Updated

And the Emmy for Outstanding Use of Sexual Innuendo goes to ... Michael Douglas ... who whipped out a penis joke, and a gay sex reference during his acceptance speech.

Douglas won the trophy for his role as Liberace in "Behind the Candelabra" ... which co-starred Matt Damon as Lib's lover, Scott Thorson.

As he held up the Emmy statue, Douglas motioned to Matt, and said ... "You really deserve half of this. So, do you want the bottom or the top?"

The crowd loved it. Check the clip for Michael's meaty double entendre ... about his penis size.

Also interesting: Michael's still wearing his wedding ring, and even thanked Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Scott Thorson Persona Non Grata At Emmys

Published | Updated

Scott Thorson -- a central character in the HBO movie, "Behind the Candelabra" which has 16 nominations -- is getting anything BUT fabulous treatment, because he's NOT invited to the Emmys.

An Emmy official tells TMZ -- it's simple ... Thorson -- who is played by Emmy nominee Matt Damon ... doesn't have a ticket and the event is sold out.

It's not as if Liberace's former lover -- who's currently in an outpatient facility for drug abuse -- didn't want to go. TMZ obtained a letter dated August 8th and written by Scott's drug counselor, asking a drug court judge to give him a weekend pass to attend the Emmys.

Rather than feeling snubbed, Scott now says it's a good idea that he stay away from Hollywood -- too tempting, and all that.

You may recall ... Scott recently tested positive for meth. He could have gone to jail on a probation violation but the judge showed him mercy and ordered him to continue outpatient drug counseling.

'American Pie' Star Knife-Wielding Hookup Ordered to Stay Away

Published | Updated

"American Pie" star Eddie Kaye Thomas is safe for now -- the chick who pulled a knife on the actor inside his home back in April has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from him at all times.

As we reported, Eddie had met 31-year-old Roxanna Bear at Mel's Diner in L.A. just 24 hours before the knife incident and brought her home. The following afternoon, she allegedly flipped and threatened him with the knife ... and Eddie ran out of the house to call police.

Bear then barricaded herself inside, until cops eventually smoked her out (with tear gas) and arrested her.

She has been in jail since, but was just released after finally seeing a judge (so much for a speedy trial).

She pled guilty to a charge of felony vandalism for trashing Eddie's home, and the remaining counts against her -- including the knife threatening thing -- were dismissed.

Bear was sentenced to 312 days in jail for the crime, but was given credit for time served (156 days) due to good behavior. She was also sentenced to 3 years formal probation, and was ordered to complete a 52-week psychiatric counseling program.

She was also ordered to stay 100 yards away from Eddie and his house for the next three years.

Kanye West SPACEBALLIN'

Published | Updated

Kanye West went full "Spaceballs" in Paris today ... sporting an outfit that was an obvious homage to the evil and maniacal Dark Helmet.

Let's face it ... the villain (we mean DH) has a lot in common with the rapper.

Mr. Helmet prefers to be called Lord ... Kanye goes by Yeezus -- and, of course, they both share a fondness for crushing anyone who crosses and/or talks to them.

Just sayin' ...

Anyway ... "May the Schwartz be with you."

Zac Efron 2 Rehab Stints This Year

Published | Updated

Zac Efron has done rehab for cocaine addiction not once this year, but twice, after a major relapse ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Zac has been doing cocaine for more than 2 years -- he was also into Molly. He tried to clean himself up in March by getting professional help. We're told he left California and stayed in a private residence where he received intensive outpatient care for several weeks.

In April he returned to L.A. and began shooting Seth Rogen's film "Neighbors." During the shoot Zac relapsed in a big way. TMZ broke the story ... Zac was not showing up on the set and it was common knowledge he was using again.

Our sources say after the film wrapped up he got a second dose of outpatient care.

As for how Zac plunged into the depths of coke, we're told there are 4 reasons:

-- Zac has significant issues with his parents, who are still trying to control his life and decision-making.

-- Zac is upset about his movie career, which was once white hot but after "High School Musical" he hasn't had real success.

-- Zac has "girl issues" ... although we're told it has nothing to do with his break-up with Vanessa Hudgens. That, our sources say, is ancient history for both.

-- Zac had been hanging around with "a bad group of friends" who introduced him to the world of cocaine. We're told Zac has 86'd most of them from his life in the last few months.

Famke Janssen Cops: Creepy Book From 'Burglar' Belonged to Her

Published | Updated

Oops ... Famke Janssen didn't get the world's creepiest gift from a burglar after all -- cops now believe the children's book that was allegedly 'left' in her home ... was hers all along!

As TMZ first reported ... the 'X-Men' star called NYPD back in August after she returned to her ritzy NYC pad and found a children's book called "The Lonely Doll" in her bedroom.

But now detectives think the book was hers because they found errand lists tucked in the pages of the book -- and Famke's name was reportedly on at least one of the notes. Police reportedly believe the book has some connection to Famke's home.

What's so creepy about the book is the subject -- it's about a couple of toys that promise to never leave each other ... so, understandably, Famke probably feared a stalker had been in her home.

As we previously told you, there were no signs of forced entry whatsoever ... which made the whole thing even more mysterious.

Apparently gamblers took the title seriously.

Zac Efron Rehab For Big Coke Problem

Published | Updated

Zac Efron did NOT go to rehab for alcohol abuse -- it was far more serious, because multiple sources tell TMZ he had a serious cocaine addiction.

Zac completed his stint in rehab earlier this year. We're told the problem spiraled out of control during the filming of Seth Rogen's movie "Neighbors," which was shot during a narrow time frame beginning in April.

Sources tell us Zac -- who also starred in the movie -- was a no-show on a number of days. As one source connected with the film tells us, "It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine."

Three other sources confirm ... Zac's problem was rooted in cocaine, but say he also dabbled in Molly -- a pure form of Ecstasy, and a popular drug in clubs and raves.

We're told ... early this year, Zac and some friends went on a coke rager in a room at the SkyLofts at the MGM Grand in Vegas ... and caused around $50k in damage. No word on who took care of the bill.

We contacted Zac's rep ... she said, "Don't think we'll be making a comment."

'Grand Theft Auto V' Star TV Actors Are Chumps It's the Video Game Generation

Published | Updated

"Grand Theft Auto 5" star Shawn Fonteno (who plays Franklin in the game) believes the age of TV actors ... and even film actors ... IS OVER ... because video game actors are taking over the game BIG TIME.

Fonteno was hanging out by his skyscraper-sized "GTA" billboard last night in Downtown LA ... and hearing him talk, it's incredible. He's straight-up the real-life version of Franklin from the game. You gotta listen.

We ask him a bunch of questions -- about in-game strip clubs, how much $$$ he got paid, everything -- but the best part of the clip is when he craps all over TV actors.

Fonteno lists a bunch of statistics about how video games are overtaking TV and film, and he's not joking -- the projected sales for "Grand Theft Auto 5" are more than $1 BILLION. And that's for the first month alone.

Only a handful of films have ever pulled off numbers like that ... "Avatar," "Titanic," "The Avengers" ... so we gotta ask ...
