'Gotti' Producer -- Arrivederci, Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan just lost the role that could have saved her career, because her management team was just impossible in negotiating with the producer of "Gotti: Three Generations."

Executive Producer Marc Fiore tells TMZ ... he has ended negotiations with Lindsay's team because, "It just didn't work for me." Sources involved on both sides tell TMZ ... money was an issue, but the various demands of her management team just got out of control.

Fiore wanted Lindsay to play Victoria Gotti, but says "I will only ride a merry-go-round with my kids," suggesting Lindsay's team was just too tough to deal with.

But this is interesting. Fiore tells us the door has not been slammed shut: "Maybe if Lindsay calls me up, we can talk about it."

'Ghostbusters' Star: Not Holding My Breath for Part 3

Don't get your hopes up quite yet for that rumored "Ghostbusters 3" movie -- because one of the main stars of the first two flicks -- Ernie Hudson -- says NO ONE has actually offered him a role.

Hudson was out in L.A. last night ... where he told us he's heard the rumors ... but he has NOT received an official offer for "G3" ... and says he has "no idea" if it's ever going to happen.

So keep your fingers crossed "Ghostbusters" fans ... but remember ... never cross the streams.

'Terminator' Creator: Cell Phones Are The New Skynet

Today is THE DAY that doomed all of humanity ... because according to "Terminator 2," April 19, 2011 ... at 8:11 PM ... Skynet became self aware, starting a chain of events that led to a war between man and machine.

TMZ spoke to the man who CREATED the terminator, James Cameron ... and to commemorate the fact that we're all still alive, he gave us the following statement:

"Kyle Reese said in the first film that it was only 'one possible future.' Clearly, not the one we're in. Maybe Kyle, Sarah, John and the T-800 changed things enough to steer us away from that possible future."

Cameron adds, "Now instead of nuclear war and the machines taking over, we need to worry about global climate change. And the machines taking over. With everybody going through their lives bent over their Blackberries all day long, you could even argue the machines have already won."

We, for one, welcome our new mechanical overlords.

'Gotti' Movie Takes a Hit -- New Director Wanted

John Travolta is looking for someone to call the shots on his new Gotti biopic because director Nick Cassavetes is no longer on board.

According to sources close to the production of "Gotti: Three Generations" ... Executive Producer Marc Fiore released Cassavetes because of scheduling conflicts with another film he was shooting.

We're told the hunt has already begun for a new director.

Filming on 'Gotti' is scheduled to begin in the Fall.

Marilyn Manson & Lindsay Lohan -- Possible Co-Stars

Who'da thunk -- Marilyn Manson wants a part in a movie that could soon be starring Lindsay Lohan ... TMZ has learned ... a biopic about infamous psychopath Charles Manson.

Sources connected with the movie tell us, Marilyn approached director Tyler Shields about playing Charles Manson's right-hand man Tex Watson ... who was convicted of several Manson murders, including the death of Sharon Tate.

As we first reported, producers are currently considering Lindsay for the role of Sharon ... but Lindsay hasn't officially signed on just yet.

According to sources, producers "love the idea" of casting Marilyn as Tex ... and are seriously considering the proposition.

Seann William Scott I'm Out of Rehab!

After completing a 30-day stint in a treatment facility -- "American Pie" star Seann William Scott was back out in public last night ... taking in a Knicks basketball game in NYC.

Seann had voluntarily sought treatment for "health and personal issues" back in March -- and today a source connected with the actor tells us, "He completed the 30 days successfully ... he's doing great."

Reps for Seann confirm he will begin shooting for "American Pie 4" next month.

50 Cent Frightens Security at 'Scream 4' Party

50 Cent created a security nightmare for the people handling a SMALL "Scream 4" afterparty tonight ... when he passed along the event details to a few MILLION people.

TMZ has learned ... 50 and the Weinstein Brothers are co-hosting the party at a restaurant in NY tonight ... an event that was only supposed to cater to roughly 100 people.

But event organizers freaked out when they noticed 50 posted the invitation on his Twitter page -- because 50 has 4 million followers ... and they now have to prep in case an army of fans try to crash.

According to Mike Zimet, event security specialist for the Weinstein Company, additional security has already been called in... because, "While we appreciate 50's enthusiasm, we are not quite prepared in the event that his 4 million followers turn up."

Real-Life Warlock Boycott Natalie Portman's Movie

Charlie Sheen just caught a break -- because TMZ has learned, the real-life warlock he pissed off last month has focused his wrath on a fresh target ... the new Natalie Portman comedy "Your Highness."

Salem-based spellcaster Christian Day -- who even runs his own little witchcraft shop called HEX -- is pissed at Hollywood for its constant negative portrayals of warlocks in movies ... and now, he's calling for an all-out boycott of "Your Highness" for its anti-warlock messages.

Christian calls the movie an "assault on taste" for casting a warlock "who hopes to deflower helpless virgins and rule the world" -- telling TMZ, "Hollywood continues to cast Witches and Warlocks as negative roles when we're the good guys and gals!"

Christian adds, "I hope people boycott this movie and movies like it so that Hollywood is inspired to release more positive films about Witches and Warlocks."

Eat your heart out, Harry Potter.

Dennis Quaid: I Was COKED OUT During 'Big Easy'

Dennis Quaid says he was so coked out of his mind during the time he was shooting "The Big Easy" back in the '80s ... he was sleeping ONE hour a night in between drug sessions.

Quaid spilled his guts about his cocaine addiction in the '70s and '80s to Newsweek ... calling it his "greatest mistake."

Quaid explained, "I’d wake up, snort a line, and swear I wasn’t going to do it again that day. But then 4 o’clock rolled around, and I’d be right back down the same road like a little squirrel on one of those treadmills."

Quaid says he finally realized the severity of his addiction when his band broke up ... saying, "I kind of realized I was going to be dead in five years if I didn’t change my ways. The next day I was in rehab."

In the end, Quaid says the experience helped him grow as a person -- "If I hadn’t gone through that period, I don’t know if I’d still be acting."

Mel Gibson Vindicated by "Hangover 2" Switcheroo

The director who wanted Mel Gibson for the sequel to "The Hangover" -- and then changed his mind and humiliated him by dropping him from the project -- has changed his mind yet again ... and now Liam Neeson is out of the role originally slated for Mel in the first place.

You'll remember ... director Todd Phillips wussed out and dropped Mel after the cast objected to him for personal reasons. So Phillips brought Neeson on board and shot Mel's scenes with Neeson. But Phillips's fickle finger struck again and the director decided he wanted Neeson to re-shoot his role.

Sadly, planning wasn't Todd's strong suit and Liam couldn't re-shoot his role because he was already filming "Clash of the TItans 2."

The cursed role has been given to actor Nick Cassavetes ... for now. But if you're a male actor in your 50s, keep your headshot handy, just in case.

Sidney Lumet Dies

Acclaimed director Sidney Lumet died at his home in Manhattan today from lymphoma. He was 86.

Lumet directed a laundry list of classics, including "12 Angry Men," "Serpico," "Dog Day Afternoon," "The Wiz," "Network," "The Verdict," and most recently "Before the Devil Knows Your Dead."

He was nominated for the Oscar for Best Director five times, but never won. In 2005, he was given an honorary Oscar.

'The Wood' Star -- Emotional Prison Release Video

Actor De'aundre Bonds was released from prison last month after serving nearly 10 years behind bars for manslaughter -- and TMZ has emotional footage of his first moments of freedom.

In 2001, Bonds -- who had roles in films like "The Wood," "Get on the Bus," and "Sunset Park" -- was convicted of manslaughter in the death of his aunt's boyfriend. He was finally released from Chuckawalla Valley State Prison on March 29, where his mom was there to pick him up.

Bonds tells TMZ he had a rough go of it in prison, but he's looking forward to getting his career back on track: "I am trying to get like Jamie Foxx, get that Oscar. Next up, you will hear De’aundre will get that Oscar."

Maybe take it one step at a time.

Lindsay Lohan beat out Blake Lively AND Sienna Miller for her new role as Victoria Gotti -- and TMZ has learned ... Victoria herself made sure that happened.

Sources close to the production tell TMZ, producers were considering both Blake and Sienna for the role -- but John Gotti's famously blonde daughter wasn't having it, insisting Lindsay get the role instead ... and producers loved the idea.

Not all that surprising -- according to sources, Victoria is a good friend of the Lohan family ... and she often spends time with them on Long Island.

Meanwhile, Lindsay is currently in L.A. auditioning for "Superman" -- but we're told she already has a plane ticket back to NYC for April 12th ... to close the Gotti deal for good.
