Good news for LeBron James ... he's got Magic Johnson's vote of confidence when it comes to taking over the 'Space Jam' franchise -- with Magic saying he thinks he can be BETTER than MJ.

Johnson was leaving a fancy brunch at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills (where he took his own mother out in a ridiculousy awesome ride) when we asked him about Bron's new movie gig.

Magic says LBJ's got big shoes to fill, but he's confident James can hang with the original.

Keanu Reeves Cops Investigate 'Matrix' Obsessed Fan

Keanu Reeves is once again being courted to join the resistance and save humanity ... only this time it's not Morpheus ... it's an obsessed fan who thinks "The Matrix" is real life.

According to legal docs ... the LAPD is looking for a guy who showed up at the actor's home last October and placed a FedEx envelope in his mailbox, offering up a cell phone number with this instruction: "I will call the cell provided tomorrow. We need to meet as I have already started building the new world. #masterbuilder."

Cops believe the guy has an obsession with Keanu's character, Neo, from "The Matrix" movies ... the cell phone reference is actually a nod to the first movie.

Keanu told cops he's afraid for his safety because the guy knows where he lives ... and he thinks the guy suffers from some type of mental disorder.

The LAPD is on the case.

'Crash' Director Paul Haggis Divorce Has Me Writing More Checks Than Movies

Oscar winner Paul Haggis finalized his divorce, but his now ex-wife will continue reaping the benefits of his success.

The "Crash" director reached his divorce settlement with Deborah ... and according to the docs, he'll pay her $20k a month in spousal support. The exes have a 17-year-old son, and Paul will pay another $5k per month for child support, and foot the bill for the kid's schooling -- high school and college.

Additionally, the settlement calls for Deborah to get a hefty slice of Haggis' income -- 20% of anything he makes over $1.2 million per year. That's on top of the monthly $20k check.

Paul's walking away with one of their 2 NYC SoHo apartments and 3 Florida properties.

Jonah Hirsch just announced the production which aims to give viewers the feeling of being in the Secret Annex with Anne and other members in hiding.

The producers -- who've already mocked up a VR version of Anne's room -- think the new technology will be perfect way to share Anne's story with younger generations.

Merchandising for the film might be tricky.

Local reporters actually rushed to the scene during filming, mistaking the blanks for real gunshots.

It's been almost 20 years since Tupac's death and conspiracy theories that he's alive and in hiding are stronger than ever -- but Shipp ain't buying it.

'2 Fast 2 Furious' Actor Cole Hauser Busted For DUI

Actor Cole Hauser was arrested for DUI after cops say he almost crashed on an L.A. freeway.

According to the arrest report, Hauser -- best known for his role as Carter Verone in "2 Fast 2 Furious" -- drifted in and out of lanes Sunday on the 101. Cops took notice and pulled him over.

Police say Hauser seemed drunk, and after a field sobriety test he was cuffed and taken to the station, where he was booked for DUI.

He's out on $15k bail.

We could not reach Hauser or his rep for comment.

Pamela Anderson won't be letting the "Baywatch" movie go down without a cameo from the original C.J. Parker ... aka "one of the most iconic characters of a generation" according to The Rock.

The Rock dropped the news that Pam will have a role in the big screen remake Thursday night by posting a pic of them all hugged up on the set.

David Hasselhoff already made his cameo ... so not including Pam would have been sacrilege.
