Sources close to the family tell TMZ the Hulkster had the procedure done on Wednesday -- it took 3-4 hours to complete. We're told bone spurs had shaken loose in his back, but docs were able to remove them.

Hogan is doing so well, that we're told he was released from the hospital the very same night.

Fresh off his triumphant "Celebrity Apprentice" win and "American Idol" performance, Michaels is set to perform tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, MS. Sources close to Michaels tell us he had a check-up yesterday and everything was fine.

We're told Bret's doctor is not in favor of Michaels performing tonight, noting he's not "100%." But the doctor realizes handcuffing Bret is not an option.

Nevertheless, precautions will be in place tonight. We're told, "Bret will be slower on stage ... not a lot of dancing and will take it easy" on stage. There will also be "medical personnel" in the house ... just in case. And, we're told, the AC will be cranked up.

If you plan on attending tonight's show, be sure to pack your extra warm bandana.

The man who played Gary Coleman's sitcom father on "Diff'rent Strokes" tells TMZ he's aware of Gary's tragic situation -- and says he's "hoping and praying for his recovery."

Conrad Bain, 87, -- who played Philip Drummond on the show -- tells us the two haven't spoken in years ... but with the recent reports, Gary is definitely in his thoughts.

Gary Coleman is on life support and has been unconscious since yesterday, this according to the actor's rep.

We're told doctors have determined that Coleman suffered a brain hemorrhage on Wednesday -- which is what "most likely" caused Gary to fall.

As TMZ first reported, Gary was rushed to a hospital in Utah after he collapsed -- he's listed in critical condition.

New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey was rushed to a local hospital earlier today after an incident at the team's practice facility, TMZ has confirmed.

According to local reports, Shockey was suffering from "seizure-like symptoms" while inside the team weight room.

A league source told WGNO that Shockey was able to walk to the waiting ambulance without assistance.

Shockey was hospitalized right around this time last year after he was found unconscious at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. A rep said at the time Shockey was "dehydrated."

UPDATE: The Saints coach has announced that Shockey will stay at the hospital overnight.

TMZ has learned Gary Coleman is currently hospitalized in Utah -- and we're told he's in critical condition.

Sources tell us Coleman was admitted yesterday -- after he was transported from his home in Utah around 12:50 PM.

Coleman's brother-in-law tells TMZ Coleman suffered a head injury after a fall.

Coleman suffered what was said to be a seizure while doing a TV interview back in February. Coleman was also hospitalized in January after he suffered what a friend described as a seizure.

Sources close to Alves tell TMZ Pitbull had an angiogram yesterday morning -- a post-operation procedure that took several hours -- but the results were good.

We're told Alves' doctor is currently sending a letter to the New Jersey Boxing Commission declaring him physically fit to fight. Alves has told us in the past that he wants to get back in the ring ASAP.

Tila just took to her blog to say, "I finally admitted to myself that I cannot rely on taking prescription pills everyday for the rest of my life!"

In another classy move, Tila added, "I must not be another Lindsay Lohan" -- but a few paragraphs later, she suggests that LiLo join her on "Celebrity Rehab."

We're told Madsen did have "an incident" -- boozing, followed by an ambulance ride, followed by several attempts to escape the ambulance -- but a source close to the actor says it was "nothing even close to suicide watch," adding, "He would never do that."

We're told Madsen is already on his way back to the States.

Outside his home in AZ, Michaels said he'll see how he's feeling over the weekend, but for now he plans to be in NYC on Sunday for the finale of "The Celebrity Apprentice."

According to Dr. Joseph Zabramski -- Bret’s neurosurgeon at the Barrow Neurological Institute -- both of the previous events can cause a person to enter into a particular state, in which blood clots can form inside of blood vessels, thus causing the "warning stroke."

But Zabramski notes that because Bret reacted so quickly to the symptoms -- and got his ass to a hospital -- doctors were able to diagnose the problem accordingly.

Remember our story -- that the doc on trial for allegedly killing Michael Jackson was on a US Air flight when a female passenger passed out with a dangerously low pulse.

The photo below was taken during the emergency, and the video -- which shows the woman being wheeled off the plane with Dr. Murray in tow -- was shot after the plane made an emergency landing.

The passenger who shot the video tells TMZ after the woman passed out the flight attendants tried in vain to revive her ... and that's when one of them got on the P.A. and asked if a doctor was on board.

The passenger says Dr. Murray walked over to the woman -- and several flight attendants thought he was just a regular passenger trying to make his way to the bathroom. We're told the flight attendants asked Murray to return to his seat ... and that's when he revealed he was an MD.

We're told Dr. Murray elevated the woman's feet and found a weak pulse. He asked the passenger who shot the video to help him move the woman to the front of the plane, and that's where Murray inserted an IV (apparently standard issue for the flight crew) and the woman began responding.

Bret Michaels was rushed back to the hospital this week where doctors claim they found a "hole in the heart."

According to Bret's rep, the singer was complaining about "numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands."

After a series of tests, doctors concluded that Michaels had suffered a "Transient Ischemic Attack -- more commonly referred to as a "warning stroke."

During the tests, the doctors say they found that Bret had a Patent Forum Ovale -- which is essentially a hole in the heart.

Doctors say Bret's condition is "operable and treatable." The docs also don't believe the "warning stroke" is related to Bret's brain hemorrhage.

Bret will be treated with outpatient care -- which includes a daily injection of a blood thinner.

Bret's rep also notes that the singer is in "good spirits, great medical hands and is positive and hopeful that everything is going to be OK."

The rep concludes, "He is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab and very happy to be alive but he has made it clear he is sick and tired of being in the hospital and is ready to rock again."

In his first televised interview since he was rushed to the emergency room -- with the odds of survival overwhelmingly stacked against him -- Bret told O that he's doing twice the rehab in order to expedite his recovery ... but he still suffers from headaches.

Michaels also cried a little bit during the show -- after Oprah ran an interview with Bret's 9-year-old daughter, in which she expressed how sad she was at the thought of life without her dad. It's pretty emotional stuff.
