Former WWE Champ Jeff Hardy's precious little dachshund was RUSHED TO AN EMERGENCY VET LAST WEEK ... but don't worry, the courageous pooch made it out alive.

The dog (named Sophie) injured herself jumping off the back of their couch while playing with the wrestler and his wife ... but the couple assumed she had just sprained an ankle.

After a few days of limping, they decided to take Sophie to an emergency vet ... where doctors said the dog had cracked a bone in her foot -- so they hooked her up with a splint.

In the meantime ... Jeff's wife Beth says they're just focusing on keeping Sophie off the back of the couch.

Adorable.

Tori Spelling is in the middle of a bizarre dog dispute that could end with her pooch getting put to death ... TMZ has learned.

Claudia -- who has worked for Tori for years -- tells TMZ she was Tori's dog walker but in 2011 the animals got too big for the 90210 star's digs and Tori asked Claudia to board the dogs at her home ... for a price of $525 a month.

Claudia says she didn't get paid this month and went ballistic. She tried getting in touch with Tori, Dean and their accountant, with no success. Claudia then spoke with a TMZ producer and she said if she didn't get her money by Monday she would take the dog to the shelter where it will more than likely be euthanized.

We then called Tori's people ... and they were completely in the dark. Word got back to Tori and she went crazy and texted the woman and asked what the hell was going on. Tori said she had no idea Claudia had not been paid and now she wants here dog back ... STAT.

Akon's got a serious poop problem in his backyard ... 'cause his pet tigers are dumping like crazy ... and you won't believe how much scat they drop a week.

The "Smack That" singer was on his way into LAX when he told us he owns two tigers -- named Simba and Tony (clever) -- who drop some serious dookies.

Akon says he only cages his tigers at night ... and trusts Tony and Simba enough to let them roam his yard during the day.

Justin Bieber just adopted another pet he will almost certainly abandon ... TMZ has learned.

Justin was at a pet store in Stratford, Canada Thursday ... just to window shop. But then -- sadly -- he fell in love with a 7-week-old American Bulldog named Petey. Justin bought the dog for $600. He also bought dog food (we're guessing the small bag), toys and a collar.

So why you ask are we so cynical? Maybe because Justin once owned a hamster, which he gave away to a random fan -- the critter subsequently bit the dust. He also abandoned a pet monkey in Germany.

It's like Justin is creating his own Neverland -- for pet orphans.

The "Real Housewives" star just took to Twitter to put out an APB on a baby bird that just went missing from her Bev Hills mansion.

"I know it's what some people may call 'a high class problem' however,1 of my baby swans took off yesterday."

"If anyone in Bh sees errant swan Please bring him back! He is only a few months old didn't think he could fly yet Bring him back ..!!"

She included a picture of her swans -- though it's unclear which one is MIA ... since they're frickin' swans and they look exactly the same.

It's not the first time Lisa's had to deal with a missing luxury item -- back in 2010, her Bentley was stolen from her driveway ... but Lisa was more concerned about the contents in the back.

"They can have the frickin' car, but can I have my dry cleaning in the trunk, please?"

The car was eventually recovered at the bottom of a cliff ... right near a car that had been stolen from Charlie Sheen's home.

French Montana has added to his menagerie of exotic animals, with a gift that has a tendency to throw feces at you.

We got video of French and his new little friend ... an adorable baby monkey named Julius Caesar.

The monkey was a surprise gift from producer Mally Mall ... who presented the banana enthusiast to Montana on board his private jet.

We're told French has been bottle feeding JC ... and even slept with him last night.

FM is no stranger to wildlife. Earlier this year, he posted a picture of him holding two tiger cubs, with this caption: "Got so high last night bought 2 baby tigers."

REO Speedwagon is taking a stand against SeaWorld's alleged abuse of its Orcas -- TMZ has learned the band just pulled out of an upcoming concert there ... following in the footsteps of several other high profile acts.

Sources close to REO Speedwagon tell us their cancellation is directly related to the documentary "Blackfish" ... which exposed alleged killer whale abuse at the aquatic amusement park.

The concert is supposed to go down in February at the Orlando, FL park -- but Cheap Trick, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson, Barenaked Ladies, and Heart had already backed out.

Trisha Yearwood is the latest musical act to bail on a big music event at SeaWorld in Orlando -- and we're told it's all over the alleged shocking mistreatment of the park's killer whales.

Trisha follows the exits of Willie Nelson, Barenaked Ladies and Heart, all of whom pulled out because of revelations about whale abuse exposed in the CNN documentary, "Blackfish."

As for why Trisha bailed from February's event -- Bands, Brew and BBQ -- it's a little confusing. Our Trisha sources say the singer hasn't seen "Blackfish," but she's heard all the fuss and that's enough for her.

Good news dog lovers -- Amanda Bynes' canine (the one she accidentally soaked in gasoline back in July while setting a neighbor's driveway on fire) has been placed in a new home ... far, far away from Amanda and flammables.

Sources close to the Bynes family tell us, Sherbert was taken away from Amanda after she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold in the summer.

While she was in rehab, we're told Amanda's parents cared for Sherbert ... but have since given him away to a family friend because Sherbert didn't get along with the Bynes family's other dogs.

Sad for Amanda ... as we reported, the actress desperately loved the dog and begged to see Sherbert while she was getting inpatient treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Safe to say, lil Sherb survived some dark days -- here's that video of Amanda rushing to a nearby liquor store to clean him after the near-charring.

Grumpy Cat is missing more than a smile -- and we're guessing this might have more than a little to do with that look on her face.

Amanda Bynes is coherent and accepting compliments from the paparazzi again ... and sounds better than she has in more than a year.

Bynes took the family dogs for a walk with her parents today ... after she was sprung from a Malibu rehab facility earlier this week. She'd been getting treatment there for mental illness since September.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade stuck to its guns in the face of animal rights protests ... moving ahead with SeaWorld's killer whale float in this year's celebration.

There's been a lot of backlash against Macy's by animal-rights groups ever since it announced this year's float line-up, claiming SeaWorld is a haven for animal abuse ... as shown in the recent documentary "Blackfish."

Brian Griffin is dead and he's not coming back ... at least that's the way it appears ... because TMZ has learned, the dog that's replacing him on "Family Guy" has already been booked for several upcoming episodes.

As we reported, former "Sopranos" star Tony Sirico will be voicing Vinnie -- pictured above -- after Brian was killed off in Sunday night's episode.

There's been a lot of hopeful speculation that Brian's death was a one-episode gimmick -- and that the dog will inevitably come back -- but that doesn't seem likely. A rep for Sirico tells us, Vinnie the Dog has already been voiced for another 6 or so episodes.

We're told there's probably even more to come after that, too. Translation: Brian's not coming back ... at least for a very long time ... and probably never.

Sirico doesn't exactly have a clear conscience about all of it though -- his rep says the actor feels horrible that Brian was killed off because the death of any character is sad ... especially a fan favorite ... but c'est la vie.

As for why Brian got the chop, a producer for the show said they just wanted to shake things up.

Seems Brian Griffin won't get a shot at a 3rd novel ... 'cause the martini-swigging, chick-bangin' family dog DIED on "Family Guy" last night.

Brian -- who's been on the show for all 11 seasons -- was hit by a car in last night's episode ... and died from his injuries.

Stewie tried to save his pal by going back in time and preventing the accident -- but he had JUUUST taken apart his time machine, and was unable to rebuild it before Brian croaked.

Brian was replaced by a new dog, Vinnie -- voiced by "Sopranos" star Tony Sirico.

Unclear if Brian will somehow come back to life in future episodes -- but we wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Brian was a good dog. He was an Iraq war veteran. a porn director, coke addict, police dog and (of course) a passionate writer.

Brian was 7ish ... or 49ish in dog years.

"Shahs of Sunset" star Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi took a white dung bomb to the face this weekend ... courtesy of one dirty bird ... and the reality star's friend captured the whole thing on camera.

GG was out at lunch when it happened ... and her boyfriend Dennis tweeted out the play-by-play:
